I did and now I'm stuck with this "iteration". RIP my wallet
Also the f with those "Bungie employees from that stream. They look like they picked them up in a coffee shop. Old grandma and a guy I'm pretty sure still uses the term wizard. And let's not forget how "enthusiastic" they sounded when describing the "new" campaign and "onion raid". No emotion. They just want that nice Holiday bonus cheq.
Also I neglected to mention this game gives you the opposite of friendship. It alienates you because you are the only one playing and no ones else plays it anymore. Thanks Deej

The lady seemed like a nice person to me. No need to be gnarly about somebody you don’t know. How many times did you say the word “Bungie” in your head during the stream?

Upvote for agreement

I didn't. Granted, my experience in D1 gave me a basis to work from to help determine how the new systems would likely work for me. And I took all the info from the reveals into account as well. I get the impression that a lot of people were somehow shocked by what they got in the finished product; I have trouble understanding how. If you looked at the info without wishful thinking or making assumptions, it was pretty spelled out what was coming. Is the game where I want it to be? No. There are a lot of decisions that I don't agree with or care for (too many and too much detail to go into here). There are things that, as a developer with experience in the games industry, I would definitely do differently. But I got exactly what I knew was coming, and I am making my own fun in it, for the time being. Can that continue? I think so, but I can't say for sure. But does it need some fixing along the way? Without doubt, because the base game is in desperate need of some changes.

But yeah, I agree. I bought D2 under a false premise. That said, had they told me that from the beginning, I’d have tempered my expectations and not been so disappointed. D2 isn’t a “bad” game, it’s just not what we were hoping for or lead to believe we’d get.

3 RepliesI got the game because unlike most people on the forum I actually enjoyed my experience with Destiny 1 and i have continued to enjoy my time in Destiny 2.

I hoped it will be better but instead its worse

Never gonna pre order again.

Some CoD friends talked me into buying D1. Besides the basics, what really sold me on it was the incredible variety of rollable stats on weapons and armour. They’re not bringing that back. D2 is not a sequel to D1, it’s an entirely different game in almost every facet outside of the AI combatants. For the 1000th time. D1 no doubt had a shit-ton of problems, but it was a Ferrari platform that just needed a lot of tuning. After that we ended up with a really good game for a couple of years. D2 on the other hand is a simple Smart-Car platform with few options for high level customization/tuning. They can add all kinds of new and cool activities, but players will just clear those activities and then load up another game as a result of no variable stat weapons/armour to chase.

I did. I bought it because I spent over 2k hrs in the Destiny universe and I’m glad to say that I’m happy with my 2 digital deluxe copies after 200hrs and counting.

3 RepliesI think Activision chose to release D2 the way it was to purposely create a lull for CoD's release. Now very soon, after a safe amount of time has past since CoD's release, D2's first DLC will ship which should have been part of the game to begin with. As a super giant game publisher, they don't want you spending your time and money on only one of their games. They want you spending money on ALL of their games.
-
2 RepliesI bought it thinking that it had to be better than D1. No way it could be worse right?
-
If you bought this game after playing more than a month of D1, you are a monumental chimp and the reason why D2 is shit. You can only vote with your wallet you chimps

5 RepliesYes, bought the base game because I had made friends playing D1. Yesterday, after catching up on the stream, all versions of Destiny have been UNINSTALLED from my system.. However, picking on the employees that we're on the stream is just down right WRONG.. The one thing Destiny 2 has is great planets and environments and improved story (not necessarily good)... which is what I thought those first 2 employees contributed to... It's the game play that s*cks....
-
There's a lot to not like about the game. However, all that nonsense about how the Bungie's employees look and how much they should be hated is way out of line. Grow up dude! Seriously!
-
14 RepliesJust give it some time. D2 is just out the starting gate. Let it grow like D1 did.
-
I bought it because I like Stitching and Shit.. Always down for some good Triple A Thread and some top of the line Needles... But there are not any Stitching Challenges in the GAme... so I'm about to lose my COOL https://twitter.com/rickyberwick/status/929931623004385281

2 RepliesAre you 12? How does that girl look like a grandma. I think you have to be 18+ to be in the forum so go eat some dunkaroos and take a nap you’ll be less cranky when you wake up.
-
you would at least think, that it would be as good as D1 currently... not a D1 at release ... not learning from mistakes, but then again ... if you make the perfect game, you lose money ... cause you have nothing else for the players ...
-
Serious question^
3 RepliesI am glad it isnt like D1... i was dreading the fact that it would be too similar to that steaming pile... I enjoy D2

6 RepliesI did but that doesn't mean I liked the state of where the Crucible was at in Destiny. It was inbalanced and starting to get annoying when kids would just throw grenades to trade if they got caught unaware or were going to lose a gunfight. Primaries were almost non existant and Snipers and Shotguns reigned supreme. Being a year 1 Guardian, I played all the raids over 50 times so when AoT came out, the novelty lasted like a week, I enjoyed re running VoG even tho there was so many kids who didn't know the raid at all (that got annoying) so when AoT dropped it was all recycled content for me. I moved onto other games like 2 weeks after AoT waiting for D2. Am I disapointed with D2? Not at all, does it need some improvements and changes, of course but for entertaining me for 3 years, I got my moneys worth. Tell me another triple A title that you played longer than 2 weeks and still had things to do and still had players in between DLC's? Very few and its impressive that in between all this downtime for expansions we still have players playing constantly.

Im a Y3 player. I am satisfied with D2.

YA JA DESTINY 1 JA YA

I bought D2 hoping that it wouldn’t be the same as D1.
