Wether they admit it or not, all returning destiny players bought D2 based on their destiny one experience. Do not let bungie or their planted “fanboys” fool you, they knew it to. None of these changes were done for us.

It's kinda like this... It's like going to the massage parlor, and picking the girl you heard good things about. It starts off a little rough, with some shiatsu (ouch), but by the end, you end up with a very happy ending. You think to yourself, "I've definitely gotta do that again!" You go back a few weeks later and pick the same girl. You're expecting mostly the same thing. You know it'll be somewhat different, but it should be good, based on your last experience. Except now... You're laying on the table confused, and a little frightened, because for some reason, your butt is hurting really bad, but you can't see exactly what's being done to it. You know it's definitely not a deep tissue massage, but you can hear her angrily shouting instructions, in a foreign language, at someone whom doesn't seem to be doing their job the way she wants them to; and you can also hear a rather vicious sounding dog, growling and barking, as it drags its chain around on the floor near the table... To be continued. That's kinda how I feel about this.

Going off of your title, I'd say it's more along the lines... Who bought this game off of Bungie's false advertisements, false statements that they can't even back up their own words that they are hiding like a child from their player base.

I did. I was a fan of Destiny. Just seeing that stream for Curse Of Osiris makes me want to drop Destiny for good. What is going on Bungie? Please enlighten us because it seems you want to push as many people away as possible. 2-3 hour campaign on f--king Osiris. One of the most interesting characters in the Destiny mythos. That's nowhere near enough time to add any sort of real character development. Another raid on Leviathan? Let me guess - it'll use a load of assets from the old raid. I expect no better. Not to mention that dialogue. It's frankly embarassing. Michael Bay would be proud. And thanks for heroic strikes. The s--t you took out and are blatantly promoting as new content.

Ah the plight of fanboi-ism...hype the hell out of a game pre release, over indulge once the game is released, then hate everything about it shortly after. You know perhaps if you all weren't in such a God damn race to get to the top you would have paced yourself a little bit and would still be enjoying content right about now. Don't get me wrong there's a lot to improve on here but I'm sick of spoiled rotten little shit Gamers complaining about everything that doesn't meet their excessive expectations. Step back and listen to yourself for a moment. #firstworldproblems

Destiny was an okay game but it was never great. The IP however has almost infinite potential. I invested in Destiny 2 because of that potential. I also assumed that Destiny 2 was going to build on the foundation of Destiny 1 Year 3, I wasn’t expecting Bungie to throw out all the quality of life improvements that Destiny 1 had acquired during its 3 year run.

Came out of gaming hibernation when I stumbled onto my bud playing D1 on XB1. Played hundreds...prob thousands of hours over the next two years or so (came in after HoW). He moved out a few months before D2 was released, so naturally I went out and bought the PS4 Pro D2 bundle, new headphones, all the needed accounts; all together around 600 bucks or so. ALL on the strength of D1 alone. I had no interest to play other games...Then came D2... I don’t know. Really enjoyed the campaign, and the worlds and music are great, along with a few other things, but it’s def missing something for me. Not a fan of the character design, everything seems more cartoonish, and the worlds are almost SO big that our characters and enemies look REALLY small...I think they changed character design studios? EVERYTHING feels nerfed for the sake of a PVP that I almost couldn’t hate more; after spending hundreds of hours in D1 PVP, I’m out of this one ASAP after my milestone is finished. In hindsight, would I have invested all the cash? I dunno, maybe...maybe not. I have enjoyed my time, but definitely not like I thought I would. I’m getting into some other games, which will be cool. D2 doesn’t really feel like Destiny anymore, and I’m not sure ANY DLC or sandbox changes will change that. Maybe it will turn into something else...or maybe it’s just, a game I played and am done with now. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I bought the game based on my D1 experience. I bought D1 at day 1, loved the game but had it's flaws. I played a lot around TDB and HoW, I really loved the TTK meta. I never really liked the Taken, but what started to gringe on me was how much I paid for the game. I paid D1 full price, the season pass and TTK. I started to move on other games and when RoI came out I just wasn't willing to pay another 30bucks for an expansion, I felt that I've spend enough money and time in that game and moved on. I still had good souvenirs of D1, but some the flaws are still there too. D2 came out, my friends who I played in D1 said it was good, so I bought it with season pass, since my friends bought it too. I loved at first D2, the campaign, publics events and all. D2 have a strong base. The thing is, instead of taking the things that worked in D1 and changing things that didn't work D1 for D2, they made wierd changes on things that were good back then. I simply fail to understand some of the wierd choices Bungie made. I would love to see what Bungie have to say about those choices, why they did that back in developpement and I'd really love to ear their opinion now 2months after the release. Now, Curse of Osiris is coming, and with the little info we have for now, Bungie doesn't seem to have heard most of the critisism made on the internet. Even EA games, closest thing of Satan on earth, changed the pay to win in Battlefront after the complaints on the web. I don't see why Bungie faint to hear complaints and suggestions from people who actually play the game.

well who ever bought Destiny 2 thinking it was going to be Destiny 1 is just not smart ! there was plenty of videos and we even got a beta, obviously it was never close to Destiny 1 !

How many other games have you bought based on the previous game being awesome? How many sequels are based on the 1st anything? Games and movies.

I do.....believe or not, I have way more friends play D1 than D2......
