I have a few questions for you...
Where were you when I was farming planet materials for hours just to upgrade a gun or two or actually make my exotic feel like it was supposed to?
Where were you when we got nothing but shards and energy in the raid, cheesed it like crazy, and had no changes on hard mode to be seen except severely putting 29s at a large damage disadvantage and no respawns? Friendly reminder if you didn't get a piece of gear you had to wait until the next week to progress...
Where were you when Thorn reigned king as the only way an average or even good player could possibly compete in crucible for more than half a -blam!-ing year with no changes!?
Where were you when there was a "heavy ammo drought" where no one had synths since they took them off Xur very purposefully and we had to empty out our weapons entirely to glitch heavy just to shoot down the most basic designed raid boss in history (Crota) in a raid where again everyone cheesed every single section and there was a total of 1 new hard mode mechanic?
Where were you when they decided no more small expansions and that they were going to call Festival of The Lost and things that were designed to make more silver "new content funded by silver"? This lasted an entire year until RoI.
Gtfo out if you think D2 is much worse. Yeah maybe it's worse than Age of Triumph, their swan song where they brought everything in three years together. But it sure as hell isn't worse than the low points of Destiny 1 where we all continued chugging on until the next expansion anyway. They had time to learn yes but a team was building this game while D1 was still in progress. Mind you most of the changes again came from player feedback on these forums (not all but most). So stop giving shit feedback. They know the important things we want already believe me.

1 ReplyWas I there? Damn right I was since D1 beta and I’m gonna force the fact that this game is ass down your throat because it’s true
-
2 RepliesDestiny 1 started terrible and i agree with that.... but in the state that destiny 1 is RIGHT NOW... its objectively better then destiny 2 in most aspects not just because you have more content to do, but because the system is better and everything in destiny 1 right now has a purpose, their is even more customization in game modes and difficulty. People are not saying destiny 1 was better at launch... we are saying destiny 2 should have been better then destiny 1 as it is now.
-
1 ReplyThe issue is all the upgrades were not brought forward. One major upgrade in d1 was choosing your reward from packages. Weapon, armour or chroma. How in gods name they thought token system is better is hard to accept.
-
3 RepliesLol I remember those days. -blam!- I hated farming for Wormspore to power up my raid gear.
-
I loved D1 but that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it :)

D1>D2

Not a gift from god, a gift from joe staten, pretty close though.

I played since week 1 of D1. D1 was and is still better than D2.

Edited by octipussprime: 11/16/2017 12:32:52 PMvanilla destiny 1 was better then vanilla destiny 2. There was incentive to play in d1, I have everything right now in d2, I was force fed exotics in d2, there is isn't a reason for me to get on d2, until coo

It's none of your business where I was!

D2 sucks
-
Say whatever you want, but D1 kept me coming back. Year 1 was the best era of D1. Taken King is where things started to go downhill. Then, they took several more steps back with D2.

Edited by l Beanie l: 11/16/2017 11:08:39 AMShut up fan boy. I played since day 1 D1. I played ALOT of D1. As did my friends. D1 was way better than this crap!!! Even in the first year. No one is even playing D2 anymore. ALREADY!!! Downvoted.

2 RepliesYea, You see, the first 2 paragraphs always sounded like "WAAAAAAHHHHHH I DONT KNOW WHAT GAME I BOUGHT WAHAAAA" to me. I couldn't tell you how many times I had to wait weeks for my last piece in other games that featured raids. As for raid cheese, host own raid and do legit.

I always enjoyed the grind. I liked farming materials. I liked thorn tlw. I hated not having jellyporn drop until how, but oh my lord when i did get it. I liked grimoire. Destiny was in no way perfect, but better than d2 in every aspect except graphics.

Why make a D2 and not more DLC for Destiny 1?

1 ReplyEdited by RagingLuffy: 11/16/2017 7:30:41 AMDestiny 1 was probably the worst game ever, but people adamantly defended it. Any real criticism was thrown to the wayside, or disregarded by an often stupid, rabid fanbase. When reading other people's posts about Destiny 1, I can usually tell where they came in during the three year fix-it fest that most refer to as "the real beta". Bungie also reacted and interacted in the exact same way as they did now, including insulting us about wanting more vault space and baiting angry people while also answering nothing. Destiny 1 didn't truly start improving until TTK, and that was TWO YEARS IN. Remember when you could jump on the platforms during the Vault of Glass, and then because people used the advantage given to them (which was obviously intended) they took the platforms away? Most of Destiny 1 was the player discovering fun ways to play and Bungie swooping in and patching them out, in an almost childish, butthurt, "this is my sandbox!" sort of way. But if it was things like the heavy ammo glitch, or the Minotaur shields on VoG, etc... Well, let's just say some of those are STILL in the game. Surprise.

It was their first try. Yes, it was pretty bad but they were rookies when they created vanilla D1 and I stuck with them believing that. They had 3 years of mistakes to make a great game, but guess what? They made a hot steaming pile of garbage. That’s why we complain about D2 so much.
-
While d1 had its problems for sure it was by far a better game then this pile hey call d2. I hated the grind for mats and gear more than anybody but at least the guns had differences and the exotics felt exotic while the raid weapons were actually for the most part useful even outside the raid and IMO the raid gear looked better. Never payed attention to silver cause no matter the game i dont pay to win withthe exception of warframe where i only bought extra frame slots. So none of those changes bothered me and i really didnt play them.

Day one as well. It was such a new game no one minded half that stuff at first. Farming materials with a group of friends was enjoyable for a while with me. Now who even bothers with patrol? Thorn being useable after being so painfully mediocre was awesome. Same with pulse rifles when they got buffed. Game at launch as broken as it was, was still a ton of fun
-
But the fact it’s worse than AoT is unacceptable tbh And before you say it’s because they had 2 1/2 years to add shit you’re stupid. There should’ve been more content in vanilla D2 than AoT I do agree D2 vanilla is 10x better than D1 vanilla tho, besides not having options to pick strikes, Crucible modes, and no heroic strikes, the QoL of d2 is better than d1

1 ReplyOh hi there. I've been through all those points in Destiny. Been with it since the D1 beta. Just thought I'd stop by to confirm that in almost all regards (minus the story and Felwinter's Lie snipe-...shotgun) Destiny 1 was (and is) better than Destiny 2. Destiny 2 is in no regards a horrible game. Destiny 1 just drew me back week after week after week. I hop on Destiny 2 if there's an event nowadays and that's it. It sucks. I had so many great memories in Destiny 1 that just ain't there in Destiny 2.
-
2 Repliesi was wearing my favorite cuck hat while Bungie had its way with my wallet.
-
You forgot your tldr: Flaws in D2 are justified, because D1 had flaws.
-
It's year four. They should have had all this stuff figured out by now. I don't care about their shitty management, and dev practices. It's not my problem. They fact that everything after RoI was thrown out is insane. I shouldn't have to wait years for them to fix it again.
