Iron Banner disappointment
Its literally quick play, but instead of crucible tokens its Iron banner tokens. I was hoping to break out of the boring crucible routine, but no.
GG Bongo. Just slap a different name on quick play and boom! Iron Banner. Couldn't have been more lazy than that.
I understand that the previous Iron banner wasn't much different, but that does not mean that things should not improve. They could have given the game types a little twist at least. But I have to agree with everyone complaining about the tokens. Its getting pretty stale.
[b]About those Iron banner weapons[/b]
Good news for once. Bungie confirmed that there will be weapons. Its on their twitter. :/ don't have the link tho.

I agree its quick play with a sticker on it. weapons same deal sticker on them. also, I was expecting the iron banner to be 6v6 like in the old days(sad). I can't play more than a few matches before getting extremely bored and wanting to play another game(not destiny)

lol called it, and still calling the engrams will be regular vendor engrams below your own (unless 300) and the weekly call to arms will be replaced for the week by some form of IB call to arms, so no additional powerful rewards.

Definitely a missed opportunity if it is only crucible again. Hope the quest goes a bit into Iron Lords lore for those brand new to Destiny. Maybe a special IB exotic weapon and each get an exotic helmet or something after several IBs in the season would have made it an event worthy.

Ghaul didn't just destroy all of our D1 gear, he robbed Bungie of the QoL improvements to D1 by end of Y3, and by extension their creativity for special events and the associated loot. The Red Legion assault on Earth, and the subsequent destruction of all of our progress, is now an excuse to strip back to basic bare bones all of everything, it would seem.

14 RepliesYou are assume alot from vague info. Just to clarify, iron banner will most likely... 1. Have a weekly powerful engram milestone attached to it (weekly bounty) 2. Have daily challenges (bounties) 3. Drop gear post game (possiblely up to max power, although based off your power) I wouldn't knock it before you try it, I think it will still be rewarding for most. Maybe if you are already max it won't matter, but nothing will if you are max power.

I've completed everything destiny 1 had to offer. I enjoyed mostly all of it. Ive completed everything destiny 2 has to offer. I also enjoyed most of it. Now I'm playing other games until the next update. After I finish everything next week's update has to offer, then ill continue to play other games. Unlike some people, I play more than one game because I'm aware of the fact that there isnt a single game out there that has unlimited content. Yeah, wierd right?

If the Lord Salad Bar gives us legendary engrams that actually increase our light then Iron Banner will have the same use it always had. To increase your light level. If its just more of the same loot below your level crap then there is seriously no point. I really hope its not just a quest fufilment that gets you one luminous engram. If it is, I would hope it can be at least achieved daily, but I can see them making it weekly.
