• This resembles the posts about trials that we saw in Destiny 1. People whined and whined about the trials requirements but when you'd quickly look at their stats you'd see that they were pretty bad players and didn't necessarily want to be carried but would be against it either. You're 280 light so I think it's totally reasonable for someone (who might have 3 high level characters already) to want people who are close to 300 to quickly do the raid. MAKE YOUR OWN GROUP. Quit trying to get into groups with high light people and just make your own with people AT YOUR LIGHT LEVEL. Here, I'll do it for you. LF others for fresh Leviathan run. Must have mic. 280+ light. Now was that really that hard???????????

      • I gave up on raiding in D1 simply because nobody on LFG let's you do the raid if you haven't done it yet. The "must be experienced, have emblem, 300+" situation got old real fast.

      • I agree for the most part about not being able to do the RAID since no one wantes to pick up a player who has NEVER done the RAID yet, But guess what until YOU did it the 1st time YOU had never done it before either. Help so other out.....................

        • Used to be like the rest of you guys, anyone could join and everyone could be taught with patience. Now I put light restrictions and kick scrubs cause I don't have time for that shit. Its so easy to rank up and you should look up tutorials on how the raid encounters work. Get a general idea of the mechanics and then make a post that says I have never dovlne this before but have a good idea what I'm doing. Don't just join someone's team and wait until you get to the first encounter and say oh what? No I've never done this before...

        • I understand the frustration, but lfg randoms are inconsistent as all -blam!-, so it's hard to blame people for seeking out people who understand the mechanics and are of a high enough light to reliability survive encounters. No one wants to spend 10 hours on a raid, especially considering the shitty drop rates.

        • Lol if a post request that you be 300 or what not then so be it, go to another lfg raid request post or better yet make your own.... there's nothing stopping you after all people have a choice of how they want to group out there raid group, its bonkers to think some one's raid post with set requirements for raiders triggers you this much, I fully support raiders wanting people of their power level, their skill level or being mechanical sound, after all, it's their choice daaamn..... Your highest character is 280 (only character sorry) make a post get a group and run with it? rather than get triggered and rant on a forum, build your own raid group over time by swapping people out and make friends - If you're a good player you'll definitely be on one's friends list for a future call-up to raid, if your a bad player then get gud - after all its a game just bonkers...... just remember you have the option to take lead and make your own group and learn the raid

        • Put yourself in someone else's position. You have a limited amount of time and have most of the skilled group required todo the raid. You don't want (in your opinion) to spend time teaching and rinse repeating something so a newer player can get everything down. I think a good comparison in high level sports, they don't invite someone new to the sport to the active roster of the team, you be to be at that level already to even have a shot. It really only takes one person to drag everyone down and to the players who are exceedingly skilled at pve and having been a part of one of those reset teams it's lovely going in and getting it done first trys. It isn't fun for many to have to spend their time doing something they've already done and can do again over a significantly larger period of time.

          • You're not entitled to join every group. Some people don't want to carry others in a raid, they just want to get it done.

          • If you aren't smart enough to make your own group or join a group that fits you , don't play video games , you aren't smart enough. "Bungie even stated that they wanted every player to experience the raid and end game content' Does it mean any newb or new player or nobrain guy should faceroll the end-game no . So make your own group , that's it .

          • i saw one that literally said " looking for first clear only people who are 295+. We will not explain anything if you dont have merciless you will be kicked. if you mess up you will be kicked" so I requested to join their game on my 304 warlock with the emblem on and they instantly invited me. I then proceeded to ask a million questions and then go afk once the fight started and comms silent. I told them it was an accident that my cat was in front of my monitor. So we restarted and I did the same thing again. Then I left and said I hate elitism like that.

I joined a lfg group today, was a mostly decent experience with a good team and we only wiped a couple of times (rng and two glitches mostly) But holy shit I would have left if the main team wasn't so fun and chill to hang with because the leader was the most cancerous little shit bag I have had the unfortunate luck of having to play with, he treated every wipe and mistake like it was someone kicking his puppy To put it into perspective we one shot calus with no mistakes. There is no issue with being a little elitist about who you want to bring but don't be a dick about it

              • From my perspective... -If people have completed the raid before, they know how frustrating it is to play with someone who doesn't know what to do and may not want to spend 3 hours explaining the rules over and over again everytime they play. They want to just get through it efficiently. By putting in the restrictions, in theory it severely limits the amount of time it will take to complete the raid. -If you do not want to deal with them, do what I did on my first run through and create your own post and say "Beginners welcome" or "First Play through". This will welcome other people who don't know what to do and people who have done it before can still join if they are willing to teach the group and deal with the inevitable wipes.

              • Lfg is a joke. The real elitist already have clans and only play with the clan.

                • If you see anyone with a list of requirements just tell them to f off. At the end of the day the only reason they ask for people who have all those boxes checked is cause they cant complete the raid unless they get carried. If youre a good team and you need a 6th you should be able to carry one person through the raid. For the most part the community isnt elitist douche bags so dont worry about it to much. Odds are even if they get someone with 300+ light they still probably wont complete the raid cause this raid specifically is about communication more than damage and power level.

                    • So I'm at 305, know everything about the raid and just beat it without my team having to wipe, but your saying when I post in the forums I should carry 5 ppl who are not good at the game, and spend 12 hours teaching them how to do it? No. There are plenty of posts with no requirements join them and stop whining.

                      • the elites dont use lfg anymore they only play with their mates or clan members now.. for double rewards ... but the people on lfg posting must have emblem i understand their position and dont care if you dont like it or not cuz you can make your own LFG POST and do the raid.. you cant complete it then i guess you swap out the bad parts of your team for good ones.. and stfu..

                      • You just sound like another prick complaining, when i go on the LFG there are many many different raid teams of different light levels... it's not hard at all to find a raid team around your light level. I am one who does agree with the 300+ raid teams because i have been in way too many raids with idiots so i personally don't care. Not everyone who hits light 300 is a no life.. some of us like me just know how to efficiently play the game. So if i don't wanna spend 5 hours on a raid because someone cant do damage or keeps getting caught by a war beast, or someone that can't seem to look and call out.. or do something simple as punch a Psion then I think it's acceptable to have requirements such as those... you probably just suck tbh..
