5 Replies"This group that has beat the raid wants other people that have beat the raid, how dare they" My only issue is inviting people to my group that lie about the requirements, it's super obvious.
-
I saw someone on the first day trials dropped checking for flawless emblems for his run.
-
5 RepliesChances are if you are only seeing 300+ post for raids you are only looking for high level players to carry you. There are tons of regular raid post and guides games are right around the corner.

6 RepliesI was like 284 when I beat the raid, there is absolutely no need to be 300 light.

I honestly forgot the raid came out

1 ReplyHey! They serve a purpose! They identify the toxic, the elitist and the just plain sweaty so you don't join them by accident 🙂

Best lfg posts were the ones must be Warlock or Titan and know how to cheese Atheon!!!

11 RepliesEdited by Prof Sheitbag: 9/20/2017 8:16:48 PMRaid requirements have been a joke since the days of Atheon and Crota when Jollyhorn was your ticket into the crapfest known as "Raiding with Idiots". Day One D1 player here, and I have literally done everything from trials to the raid and all activities in between. And I have jumped into more lfg groups than I even care to remember, but one of the most notable concepts I took away from the vast majority of my lfg excursions is this: If someone is making crazy requirements for the raid, it is generally because they need to be carried. People can disagree with me all they like, but I have done more raids in D1 with people claiming to be "Elite MLG" at Destiny, yet when push came to shove it was usually me, or another random, making the plays and calling out strats to get the team over the finish line. The guy who was making the crazy demands usually claimed his victory on the coat tails of others. On the flip side, it was always the people with simple lfg posts like "Need 1 for Crota" that could hold their own.

I completely agree with you on this. Personally, I have the Raid memorized so well that I can get it done within a few hours if I have a good crew. When I run it, I don't care what you're Power Level is or your experience. The only thing I ask of you is to be a good listener, follow instructions, and have a mic to communicate. That's what I would like to see from everyone, but it's sad that it's come to this. But it's to be expected from an online community. There will always be those people. Only thing you can do is be the change you want to see and just do what you think is right. Don't let others get you down or ruin the game for you ^_^

People are more than entitled to request what they want. I have not entered the raid yet but a lot of my friends have cleared it and it took them 5+ hours to learn and perfect the mechanics. They will obviously want their next runs to be more simple so will want to raid with other completists. It annoys me that people think the community has an obligation to teach people the raid. Either look it up or go in blind with a team and figure it out for yourself like a lot of guardians are doing. In a few weeks down the line when people are fully geared you will get a lot more people willing to try and help new people through the raid.
-
4 RepliesMy question is if you have completed every encounter of the raid how are you only 280? Also would you rather groups not be honest about what they are looking for? It shows you what to avoid.
-
LFG has always been like that. People don't want to try and beat the raid with people that can't. Just make your own post.
-
People want higher light for survivability and better damage, and the requirements are high on lfgs because grabbing a random is a big gamble in a raid that really allows no carries, everyone needs to pull their own weight so that's why people want someone with experience. Not everyone that wants a high level experienced player is some elitist douche, people have a life outside of video games, work, school, kids, etc. some people only have so much time that they can put towards getting the raid done, and can't afford to waste time. Best advice I can give is to make you own group if you don't like, or meet, someone's lfg requirements.
-
Let them play with other elitists and make your own team. I've met a lot of people who just wanna learn and play for fun just making my own teams and accepting whoever. I honestly expected this behavior from the first game which is sad in its own way.
-
1 Reply1. Make your own groups 2. Invite whoever 3. ??? 4. Enjoy the raid
-
I haven't done the raid yet but I heard its an overly technical nightmare. In that case I don't think its douchey for people to ask for requirements that lessen the already nearly insurmountable struggle they're about to endure. New players who want to raid are just going to have to look for posts that offer to teach and carry or teams made up of newbies. Once people get used to the raid and get geared up they'll be more likely to take on lower leveled players.

Another one who removes original post with a new edit after being exposed as a moron. Last time i read this post you were crying about not being able to get in a team. Now youve edited it to try make you look better, and failed miserably again 😂😂😂😂
-
If you have been playing since d1 beta then you should know that there has always been people posting these requirements since year one. Why complain now?
-
Edited by Sen: 9/20/2017 12:24:16 PMWait........ why can't you start your own group. They made their requirements based on their experience. Why can't you? Because you don't want to sit there for hours learning the raid? Well, they did. And they don't want to do it again. And your group is only as strong as your weakest link in this raid. And why insult them?

My LFG raid experiences have only been positive
