It's not a planet or a moon so what and where is Nessus? Thanks for any replies

1 ReplyEverything the others said about Nessus is true. I actually did some research on ishtar collective earlier to find out some stuff about Nessus. It shouldn't technically exist as it is in game, so I think the vex terraformed it themselves. To the best of my knowledge, the traveler never touched down on nessus to terraform it. This part is a little more unrelated, but I think Nessus might have been the first human contact with vex constructs. We knew of the vex consciousness before the collapse, as part of the reason exos were created was to explore the vex systems. But the Exodus Down lore entry says "They are trying to understand us. They must think like rivers." This makes me think that the first contact between a physical vex construct and a human was on nessus

1 ReplyNessus is one of three centaurs (kind of like giant icy asteroids or tiny dwarf planets) that orbits the Sun along with our planets Those spacy science jerks consider these just as significant as Pluto when it comes to putting them on the map. WHY DO YOU HATE PLUTO?!

2 RepliesIt passes between Neptune and Uranus ever 122.4 years, and was discovered in 1993 labeled 7066 Nessus with the alternate designation of 1993 HA2.

1 ReplyOpen the director, it's toward the right hand side above IO, and below the raid. You're welcome

Nessus is a planetoid that orbits the sun in a similar fashion to a comet. It is stated during gameplay (through scannable objects and adventure dialog) that it has been nearly 150 years since it was last in our system.

1 ReplyGotta love google... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7066_Nessus

It was a large chunk of ice orbiting our sun. It seems that the vex found a way to terraform it into a planetoid

5 RepliesIt's a centaur

I got this straight from Wikipedia. 7066 Nessus is a centaur (a type of icy minor planet) that was discovered by David L. Rabinowitz, working with Spacewatch, at Kitt Peak on 26 April 1993. It was the second centaur found by him. Nessus was officially announced on May 13, 1993, in IAUC 5789 with designation 1993 HA2. I hope you can understand that space lingo.

In the outer reaches of our solar system according to our ghost. But it shouldn't even be there....

6 Replies(This is what I think, I might be wrong) I'm pretty sure nessus is a small, moon sized object with and irregular orbit around the sun. I'm not sure tho
