I don't drink sodas, energy drinks, eat Doritos or any of the other junk foods the codes are always on...put it on some water or almonds!
EDIT: Wow woke up to this blowing up! Appreciate all the conversation on this. To be fair the I picked Dasani in the title name originally cause it was the first thing I thought of and I rarely buy bottled water. I did take a look around the house to see if we had any and the only bottled water I could find was smartwater. I think the point stands though, those of us who like to be healthy and game as well would like some healthy options to get codes without dumpster diving.
EDIT #2: Gotten some message about what this is about and for those that aren't aware Rockstar will be having codes on their energy drinks for free stuff in Destiny 2. Here is a youtube video with a guy talking about it if your interested. I don't know who this is, it's literally the first link I grabbed off youtube for people that want some info on what we are talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRzKigizTK4
EDIT #3: I took the kids comment out. Felt it was outside of what we are talking about, and really people feed their kids all kinds of terrible convenience foods including and not limited to energy drinks. We'll leave it at that.
EDIT #4: Changed title to include bananas as well since it's energy drinks AND pop-tarts now!

1 ReplyThey are just gonna end up selling out to Disney like everyone else does so they can get the McDonalds promotion.

5 RepliesEdited by Corrick II: 8/1/2017 5:58:49 AMThis. Partnering with these energy drinks is profitable, sure, but what kind of bullshit message are they sending? Good job, marketing department. Screw health and wellness of your players. Get that dollar!
-
2 RepliesYeah, because that's the first aisle where a majority of gamers head, when getting ready for a marathon gamin session.
-
I think that this would be a great idea as well, promote a form of health. Key word being promote...in both forms.

Not appealing for most as it was bottled with a mix of seeds, rice flour, sugars, and what have you to achieve that title. Even so partnering with that would have been pretty good. Especially when considering the health of the diet average people get, lordy.

1 ReplyU don't eat junk food but u drink the crappy water. That is sewer water that cola coca buys and adds minerals that supposedly cleans water and then resells it to you. Read labels on bottle. If it's not spring water. U are drinking used nasty water.

Muscle milk!

great idea!
-
He's has got a point though I don't drink rockstar or monster they taste like shit bungie you need to pot promotions on other things not just energy drinks and Doritos this goes for other games as well
-
I once worked on another game that had an energy drink sponsor. My team ended up with several cans of the stuff for free from the marketing team. I tried a little (~1/4 can) and the code on my screen started to get blurry. One of my co-workers tried some and her blood sugar spiked too high/too fast (diabetic). Yeah, I like the idea of a water sponsor or the like.

2 RepliesThis would be really cool, honestly. There are healthier energy drink choices on the market and I would love for Bungie and other game developers to start enforcing healthy dieting and eating. I'm trying to do that myself. We all love gaming, but when we sit down for 6-12 hours a day doing nothing but grinding on Destiny and eating, it takes a toll on our bodies.

i don't get these energy drink promo's. why would you have an energy drink if your going to be playing games? wouldn't all the energy just build up? unless you play games running round the room.
-
The reason why is quite simple they're getting paid by Rockstar, they were getting paid by Doritos, and by Red Bull. If Vitamin Water Aquafina or anybody else wanted to throw money at them I assure you there'd be Destiny codes under their caps too.

2 Repliesthe problem is... aside "honey" nothing healthy last over a week, in other words, if is packed or bottled, is already F.ed up
-
You=. Everyone else ........................................................................ I don't drink energy drinks but they do it to the masses
-
Ok what's the code thing?
-
Good choice with dasani. Every other company that sells water bottles seems to always have bottles made of paper thin plastic, and it bothers me
-
Or partner with Vex Milk. Yummy!

It seems some parents actually pack these drinks for their kids for lunch. Not to seem "holier than thou" but...seriously wtf?
I'd say that's bad, but I've seen parents buy their kids whole cases of Mountain Dew before.

Edited by CatMan Snowball: 8/1/2017 3:23:58 PMOr on animal leashes at adoption places Get a in-game reward for an out game companion!
Obviously joking but not making fun of OPs idea. It's a good idea
2 RepliesI remember when DICE partnered with Slim Jim for Battlefield 4. Bungie should have made a deal with some beef jerky or dry snack foods instead of disgusting energy drinks that tastes like urine.
-
4 RepliesA promotion with Johnny Walker would be nice...
-
I don't eat non of that shit.. Wheat thins are so good. And water. With the occasional glass of rum lol
-
1 ReplyHow about no. Stop being poor.

6 RepliesHonestly all that stuff looks nasty as hell
