I personally enjoyed it, but my friends refer to me as the video game evangelist. I have a knack for finding the good in things instead of focusing on the bad. Anyone else out there enjoy the beta?
Why or why not? I'd love to discuss rationally.
Edit: Thank you everyone for your amazing input and points of view. I'm off to bed. I'll be sure to read through everyone's posts.

I genuinely enjoyed it a lot. There was nothing that stood out that was a make or break change to game play. I do think there needs to be a slight buff to all ammo drops and super recharge, but nothing crazy for PVE. PVP felt solid and smooth. Zero lag when I played. I can give or take the new heavy ammo drop.

Definitely enjoyed it, and excited for launch.
-
I enjoyed it. Gave me something to look forward to.

1 ReplyI did enjoy it, but had a few concerns, some of which have been/will be addressed. And after the ign videos I am pretty excited to check out the worlds!
-
Honestly, not at first. But as I played it started to grow on me. Didn't find myself changing guns often and having double grenades was a joke after your first throws (long recharge rate) but I did enjoy some of the gun fighting mechanics. Until you get relentlessly teamshot because everyone wants to play clash. But other than that yeah sure. I enjoyed it

It was fun for about the first 3 days but after that it just got boring and stopped playing it I'm sure when the full game comes out I'll never stop playing it
-
Just curious what people thought the positives were for someone who plays lots of PvE and little PvP
-
It was ok. Got to play with all toons. But got bored quick. But it's a beta, so it's expected
-
Hellz yea I did, the gunplay is miles better in terms of pvp for D2
-
20 RepliesI put 7000 hrs into D1, I played the beta for a few hrs, then deleted it. I don't play for story, or PvP, so there was nothing for me to do. I've pre ordered and I'll play the hell out of it, but the beta wasn't my cup of tea
-
23 Repliesdid not like it. played two days, went on destiny 1 and it felt like a breath of fresh air. so much more fun.

It was boring after i did pve once it was more boring.
-
Loved it

Glass half full! Nancy's will be Nancy's.

Found it boring at times, weapons are poor, the strike was very boring. Don't like the way weapons are done now with 2 primaries. Snipers and shotguns and fusions in the heavy place. Seems odd. The last day seemed better, purple ammo dropping everywhere, and the graphics seemed sharper. The beta had me convinced not to buy the game. But the patrol details got that hook back in me. I just want to know the amount of content. And whether there will be story quests that involve pvp. If quests involve pvp it'll seriously put me off reconsidering it.
-
I did.

Edited by Darth Lunchbox: 7/28/2017 1:20:57 PMYes, once I got used to the differences, it is still Destiny, just a different Destiny. Would I like to see some changes, sure. And from what Bungie has posted, it looks like a lot of those changes are being made or already have been made. People don't like change and a lot have problems with adapting to that change, especially when they have no real control over the change.
-
I really enjoyed it, it's not without it's flaws of course but overall it was Destiny and I can't wait to get into the full game and start exploring all the new worlds and check out all the new sweet loot!
-
I did. It's just that as I played more, I realized that I had a critique building in my brain, and as it turns out a lot of people shared my observations. I'll still have an open mind prior to its release, as I hope many of us are doing.
-
Exciting enough I want to see the rest of the story unfold
-
3 Repliesdidn't play it/cancelled preorder
-
It was ok. But I'm sure they will sell half a game again and expect you to buy the rest through 5 different dlc's
-
6 RepliesIt was ok, because it was new. Didnt care much for visuals change. Wants to be Borderlands.
-
1 ReplySome aspect yes, the new sand box area was great its a pity the new weapons system and the changes to PVP ie the 4 man team were such a dampener
-
1 ReplyIt was a small portion. I was not blown away. Waiting for the full game reviews.
