I revived zavala
In the story mission homecoming the last barrage of missiles had just finished and the character AI stopped talking. Then a second later another missile hit and a blue orb titled "interact" appeared. I held "[b]X[/b]" and zavala appeared. So I guessed zavala was killed by the lone attack and I revived him. I don't know if it was a bug or just meant to happen on its own. Either way zavala dyeing and my reviving him was cool and I wanted to share it.

Me too. I stayed in the vault area for extended periods with all three classes so I actually revived him on a few occasions.

I got to revive him, too. I thought that was pretty cool.

I played the story mission twice and I can't remember even meeting zavala.

It's like a tutorial mission. At that point the game taught you how to revive.

If you watch him die his carcass drifts off on fire, seen it many times. His k/d is sh1t.

I did that as well, but he seemed to have an "I'm back, and here's an angry yell" animation, so I thought it was intended

Happened to me as well, except we both got KO'd. Zavala even did some kind of taunt when we respawned, pretty funny.
