Fix these 2 things in pve, and you may have a winner. The two primary system for pve worries me though if heavy remains scarce.
EDIT: Someone pointed out nerfing enemies' health somewhat in pve. Is that the answer?
EDIT: Nobody likes the idea of enemy health reduction lol. Sorry to whoever suggested it.
EDIT: This is the community consensus from people that mostly enjoy the beta
EDIT: My personal opinion, the super charge is fine, more ammo in general needs to drop, control needs to be 100 points so it's not all supers at the end, and abilty charges need a faster cooldown.

Fix movement and gun mechanics as well.

3 RepliesThere is a general lack of ammo in PvE. I run out of primary ammo regularly.
-
1 ReplyMake another edit this needs to stay atop of the trending list!

1 ReplyWhen I picked up rocket ammo, I only got one round, and then shaxx said "don't use it all in one place guardian!" I don't understand...? Do I cut the shell in half so I can fire two explosives?

There's a video on YouTube (forget who made it sorry can't give credit) where a guy compares the charge rates for d2 to D1. Right now everything charges at a tier 1 rate. I think it should equal tier 3 in pve and be adaptive in pvp. Everyone in pvp should get at least 1 super per game. After you use it it will charge slow enough that you don't get another no matter how good you are playing. This would allow the pro player to be more tactical with the super and allow the newer/casual player to still feel like they are contributing
-
I'm with you on that last edit 100%. But just faster ability cool down right? Not grenade and melee because then it's back to D1 spam-fest.
-
Absolutely. If they change anything it should be these two issues
-
Agreed I went through 5 strikes and almost ran out if all ammo every time (I also had the most kills on my fire team by far) and I got maybe 1 brink of heavy. 2 if I was lucky
-
2 RepliesI don't mind the slow recharge and I figure there'll be armour pieces that'll help boost. My main concern is the ammo though... almost ran out completely a few times... My other main concern is allies that don't make use of their abilities... attempted the strike and while I got most of the kills on the ads, my allies seemed to be fanny-ing around doing pitiful damage on the boss... 1st attempt we got it down to about a centimetre or less and I was the last alive, then got pummelled. 2nd attempt, still got most kills and most orbs, probably most damage, got Boss down to about a couple centimetres, no one else thought it'd be a good idea to handle ads, last alive, revived both, both die again, I die. I leave.

3 RepliesNeed to reassess the abilities (not super). The hunters sucks buttholes compared to the Titan and warlock. Little gay dance move and you get your ammo. At least give us the night stalker dive. It was beneficial. This little dance move doesn't help evade anything at all.

I cant wait to spend 5hrs on Ghaul in the new raid shooting him with scout rifle... oh the excitement is overwhelming!

Bungie long ago confirmed that armour perks and mods affect ability charge times. Why this wasn't included in the beta I have no idea, but you can see in some development screenshots and videos that this is the case with the full game. Bungie have also said they will be increasing Power ammo drops in PvE. If you don't like the beta, just wait for the full game.
-
I prefer fusion, sniper, and gunshot on second slot but not on heavy slot. I need those to kill boss faster on raids or strikes.
-
15 RepliesPVP is perfect where it's at. Stop asking Bungie to change it because you're not use to the changes. D2 is not an ability heavy game. It's all about gunplay this time around and that's perfectly fine. So what if there's a super hell storm at the end of the match? It's not a problem. It also isn't a problem if a game ends so fast that no one even gets their Supers. It's fantastic. No, there doesn't need to be more ammo drops. Two Power ammo packs in enough. Making it so only the person who grabbed it gets the ammo is even better. The timer also doesn't need to be adjusted. Leave Destiny 1 Crucible play behind and embrace the new better version of Crucible.

1 ReplyThe pvp is amazing actually primary fights exist and I got stuck only once so far by a sticky (shame they put those changes into pve)
-
I'm not 100% positive, but I believe power ammo drops from every yellow bar enemy you kill. When you start the strike and go backwards there is Fallen and Cabal you can kill. A lot of yellow bar Cabal begin to spawn and each one I killed dropped a power ammo brick. It's pretty dumb, but the more yellow bar enemies the more power ammo.
-
2 RepliesIt appears that there will be armour that will boost super/abilities in the full game. Chill people it's just a beta
-
Definitely agree with your last edit

Fact: Luke Skywalker looked down the barrel of his lightsaber when he was sitting with old Ben, in the Millennium Falcon. The most powerful weapon in the galaxy; whenever I see this part of the film, all I can think of is how Obi Wan told him nothing about the fact that it was a lightsaber. I wondered how he didn't cut his head off and Ben's head, at the same time.
-
4 RepliesIf anyone paid attention to the gameplays before the beta... There are armor perks that recharge super faster and abilities faster.. Bungie removed those perks from the beta but will be added to the actual game on release..
-
If there not going to increase the time then allow for more super energy from kills. They want the game gun based well at least reward us for that.

6 RepliesEdited by Barrier: 7/19/2017 7:07:00 PMWe need to start talking about super charge rate AND ability cool downs. They're way too low to actually have fun. I might've thrown three grenades in the strike...
-
3 Repliesone thing that I don;t get.. Why gunshots, snipers, and fusion rifles on power heavy weapons...
-
5 RepliesAs I've just stated in 2 other topics. I pretty sure cooldowns are set to their base level for the beta and can be improved with armour pieces as per Destiny 1. I really wouldn't fret over how long it takes for your abilities to cool down or your super to charge. As for heavy, I think it's great. Only one person can collect from a box at a time, but the boxes spawn more often. That's good, it means there isn't a period in the match where it just becomes rocket madness for a few seconds then back to normal.
