TRIALS money making hype and BAD matchmaking is UNACCEPTABLE, the FUN of it is GONE.

Trials used to be fun, but ain't anymore because players have found all kind of ways to make money with this game mode which i believe is one big joke for reaching the lighthouse.
- twitch streamers asking money for carries and account recoveries and so called donations that are not mandantory but welcome.
- Most streamers are using raffles, which gives followers such a small chance of winning one. They post on destinylfg or bungie reqruitment page that a raffle is going now, but once you enter they just started their first or second match, its nonsense. Followers are just wasting their time for hours in these streams just to make a chance for a lighthouse run.
- I admit, I have even done it, but realized its waste of time cause I want to play the game, not wait for it.
A RAFFLE = A LOTTERY= to give you the impression you might win something for free = this causes a lot of time people to give something back like a donation!
Psychology = when you receive something for free, you are willing to give something back.
- so your chances of winning one is little and the fact that a carry plus waiting for the streamer to get more followers into his stream will take more than one hour, you might end up spending several hours in stream without getting a carry. NOW, thats waste of your time and energy, it only benefits the streamer.
- if you are lucky to win a raffle, nice. But high chance this won't happen as easy again next time as lots of streamers have rules in place that you won't be able to win another raffle if you already did.
DONATIONS are not required, but APPRECIATED
- if they are not required, why do streamers add a DONATION button on their stream?
- its all psychology to trick you. They mask it with quotes like
*to improve my stream*
*for my wedding*
etc...
- cheaters using ddos and lag switches to reach the lighthouse for money
- 3/4 of destinylfg.com posts are about asking money for lighthouse runs or account recoveries
- even posts on ebay
- its almost impossible for players with a lower than 1.0 kd to find a team for trials.
- then we have stuff like elo and kd farming, its so broken.
- BAD matchmaking
- too many RED bars
How much longer are you letting this happen Bungie?
Please, open up your eyes guys and girls. This is not how playing a game and having fun as it is meant to be. Think more than twice before donating your money for just a lighthouse run, which is not special at all.

Just watch the comments this post gets. They'll be the classic lie that is "You only want SBMM to get easy Lighthouse." A completely false statement as stacked teams already have it easy and because SBMM makes it an equal fight, not easier. Then it'll be the old "I'm top 000.0000001% and I'll get so much lag." Have you ever noticed how many top 0000.0000001% players there are when SBMM is mentioned? Add them all up and it is like 2238% of the player base with a rank smell of bullshit attached. The reason they think they are top 0000.000001% is because the ELO farm in stacked teams and only play much weaker/easier opposition. SBMM would prove who is actually in that percentage. 41 replies, all spewing the rubbish I predicted. Put simply stacked teams want to use every lie in the book to avoid playing other stacked teams. Quick fact about stacked teams, they also play paintball and are on first name terms with the staff there.

I do both and can tell you that if I wasn't I'd be running stacked as hell on weekends and you wouldn't have a damn chance at beating my team. I lose a lot on carries against a solid team because they play smart and realize that they aren't playing a full straight team. So rather than saying trials is broken because people like me who have found a way to make money doing what they love focus on improvement. I don't do carries because I want to keep others from the lighthouse. I do it because I want to help others go there and because I need the income.

1 ReplyI thinks it's funny that people made a career off bungie's stupidity and incompetence. Trials is the most terrible idea I have ever seen in a game. This whole theory and vision that it's not meant for everyone is such backward ass thinking by a business in video gaming. Until there is a ranked and unranked playlist for trials and some other well thought out changes, I refuse to subject my peaceful mind to its horrors. Altogether this game mode's extreme latency problems, cheaters, and its promotion of career players is a complete failure by bungie. Good job guys. #trialsisdead

1 ReplyTrials is losing the average players each week and all that's left is a sweaty laggy mess. I suggest a change to the 9-0 system by allowing the 3 loses or even make it 5 loses and 9 wins to get to go to the lighthouse. Resulting in giving the average players an opportunity to get to the lighthouse with their friends or at least get to 5 and 7 win rewards. This would cut down on need to pay, need to cheat, the frustration of that laggy team and would improve the numbers playing trials each week

Trials is set up so casuals won't want to play. Let's say there's a ping pong tournament that anyone can enter for a small fee. Your opponents are chosen at random, so a guy who plays sometimes on weekends could end up matched against a professional. For this reason, only people who are very good will bother trying.

Deadstiny is garbage. The 3 year old engine it runs on is trash. The peer to peer connection is trash. The fact all the maps aren't in crucible rotation is trash. How bungie manipulates classes so only certain ones are good is -blam!-ing retarded. The guns are trash unless they are deemed Worth by the trash box team to be good. Bungie is a bunch of worthless, greedy, lazy pos that hurt this game more then they help it. How long is the clever dragon meta gonna be? Hmmmm this game has needed a patch for months. I loved the game year one I loved the concept but someone other then bungie needs to develop It.

I agree with lagswitchers, ddos, bad connections of this game, these issues are the cancer of Destiny, but if someone is queuing on a streamer list or if he respond to pay for a flawless recov that's on their will , on their time. Nobody here can prohib to someone what he has to do. About the fact that most poeple won't go flawless it is normal. It's a 9-0 card you are aiming and so the team you will face are aiming! The More you train, the more you play stacked, use every aspect of the meta, use all angles and cover of the map the best result will come.

2 RepliesAgree with most of the points by the OP. Only playing Trials now to get the Y3 emblem for my collection as well as the hunter helmet (cannot get that to drop!). For me the fun factor has gone down over the past 6 months. Had the most fun in year 1. The paid carries, ELO farming, LFG requirements, lag, DDOS, and account recoveries create a toxic environment which has driven away a large percentage of Destiny players. A decrease in the number of casuals makes Trials even more competitive and less enjoyable to the remaining casuals who find the rewards are just not worth it anymore (the rewards are mostly mediocre), which leads to an even smaller population. This is the trajectory of Trials unless some changes are made.

1 ReplyMy issue with streamers is that you donate and you still have a not so guaranteed chance of getting a carry. Bungie cannot fix this carp for this is a community issue. Carriers need to either stop charging and click baiting for money, or actually make,their carries free. Bungie needs to make SBMM heavier on Trials of Osiris while they're at it so punk streamers have to face other crazy people of their skill gap.
