Im gonna say it. Gunslinger needs a buff
I mean how am I supposed to compete with all these op supers now. Hammer of sol has unlimited hammers and a longer duration. Stormtrance last even longer than that.
Meanwhile I rarely have enough time to get my three shots off and even when I find people they can one shot me.
I feel like the golden gun is one of the weakest supers in the game right now
Edit: And dont even get me started on the throwing knife headshot not being a ohk..

29 RepliesGolden gun hasn't received a nerf, and no other class supers have received any notable buffs, so I don't see what you think is making golden gun less viable now, a year after the new subclasses Dropped. Honestly, I'm getting tired of having to explain hammer of sol vs golden gun. Hammer of sol has an Arc and travel time, meaning you have to calculate long range shots, and hitting a midair target is a pain in the ass (if it isn't you titans should be hitting me in midair more often with it). Also, hammer of sol does not "have infinite hammers" spamming hammers makes the super run out quicker. Golden gun has heavy aim assistance, along with no travel time or Arc. It's just better because of that. It's more reliable, quicker, and easier to use than hammer of sol. On the subject of stormtrance by the way golden gun has so much more capability at range in comparison. Be real, one shot throwing knives would be overpowered. Those things have really easy head hitboxes. I've stuck knives in peoples chests and had it count as a headshot. - A gunslinger main.

Ohk throwing knives will be hell in trials with recharge on kill. You dont need to use your guns anymore plus the aim assist on it. I main hunter so i know what im saying.

You're bad lmao. I main a gunslinger in pvp and I have no problems with the subclass. GG is perfectly balanced and throwing knives are perfect the way they are. Every gunslinger main knows a ohk throwing knife is op. Infinite range one hit melee that recharges on headshot? And you can have two at once! If that's possible, I can easily get 20+ kills in every match. Shoulder charge is balanced because it needs a running start and being completely vulnerable to damage. Not to mention you need to get in contact with your opponent. Gunslinger is THE MOST balanced subclass in the game.

But tripmines and throwing knives need a buff back to where they were. Throwing knives OHK to the head would be stupid OP. This is all coming from a Hunter main since launch.

One perk that gunslinger has (and I think a couple of other character subclasses has) that is incredible for certain guns is Chain of Woe. i just picked up Angel's Advocate from the Vanguard Vendor. I have a gunslinger with Chain of Woe selected. You get an increase to reload speed, then I have an increased scout reload speed in my gauntlets, and combined with the perks Outlaw and Reactive Reload and it's blindingly fast. I haven't used it in PvP since I'm not great there (and tend to lean more to pulse rifles there), but its amazing in archons forge right now because you never really stop shooting.

I would like to see trip mines back where they were and golden gun is fine in my opinion it does what it's supposed to do one shot.

1 Replylolwut no. For PvE, yes Gunslinger could use another buff. For PvP, no its really fine. If you want to go for a bold front line assault you should use Bladedancer. Medium to close range encounters is where Nightstalker shines. Gunslinger works best at a medium to long range. Also, one of the longest range melee abilities in the game should not be able to OHK. This aint Call of Duty

It's probably the weakest subclass in pvp other than defender, I'll admit it. You used golden gun for the equipment, and since all that got nerfed, you're using it only for the super.

I agree that gunslinger needs to have a buff, but not to its super. It needs throwing knives to one shot with burn on and make tripmines a one shot again.

The only thing that needs a buff on this class is throwing knives. Yeah I miss my old trip mines but I've adapted my play style to use them in a slightly different way. Golden gun wise your just popping it in the wrong place. Learn instead of calling for buffs.

Now the tripmine should be made whole again at least when equipping the ahamkaras It'd be nice to see the reload and stability perks combined and the quick draw perk or a snapshot like perk added to this subclass seeing as we are called gunslingers Also since the nightstalker has shadestep I think the gunslinger should have gotten the invis psuedogrenade
