Sadly, noticed that alot of my friends not playing crucible anymore. There was a time when almost everyone was playing Trials every weekend, nowadays just few of them. Anyone else noticed same thing? I hope bungie do something about that, before there's only streamers / carriers left (sometimes it feels that its already happened). Everyone of my friends who stop playing ToO, say that reason is frustration. Need to say that im frustrated too. Im not very good on trials, but few of my friend is or was, before it gets what it is now. What happened to Trials? Where did it went so wrong that they don't wanna play that anymore?
Thanks, keep it coming. One guestion more, cause think it comes up with this. Do you think its gonna be better after new dlc? Of course there is more players on trials after it. Im worried about how bungie can keep average players in it, and do they really want. If its gonna be as sweaty as its now, its gonna crush down like its right now, but much faster. Im asking these guestions cause i like this game and (someone sayed it earlier) there is so much potential on ToO.

Trial would be fun again if they brought back the old matchmaking from year 1 and got rid of all the laggers.
-
1 ReplyThe amount of cheating is unreal
-
It's dead to me. Especially now in Year 2. Unlike Year 1, I can't go to the Lighthouse. I don't know what the hell happened, but it happened. Nowadays I just get rammed by less-than-average people in Trials.

Trials is dying along with the rest of destiny. There has just been too long between content drops. It will revive again after the 20th but with RoI having less content than TTK it will die again shortly afterwards. The light house is not meant for everyone. And that's okay. Streamers build their fan base carrying people to the light house. However in my opinion. It is making a lot of streamers popular who have great skill, but are terrible personalities. Being a steamer should be more about your interaction with your followers than your gun skill. But I digress, paying for trips to the light house is something that won't stop and no one can stop it. It's so unbelievably easy to walk to the light house with a team of 3 with ELOs of 900. They can 9-0 a card in 35-45 min. So why would it stop. (If you don't believe me, start a new character don't play pvp till you're 40 and throw your old gear on and go into trials with two friends who have done the same. You get matched against kids playin with their knees as thumbs. ) Supply and demand. It sucks, but if mommy and daddy just give the Kid money to blow. Someone is gonna separate the money from them always.

It has a lot to do with casuals leaving. Only hardcore players are here anymore. Maybe ROI will bring some back

1 ReplyTrials just isn't fun. You have to use the "meta" weapons or you're at a disadvantage. You have to play passively, because that's how the game type works. It's not really fun sitting back with a sniper every single match.

Edited by Dooodley: 8/27/2016 11:53:35 PMI have one person on my friendslist still playing destiny - and it''s a person I added fairly recently in destiny. None of the originals are still there. Also, it takes freaking forever to get a match started in normal Crucible - and I stick to the 6vs6 playlists that I imagine are the most popular. Not sure if that's a reflection of population of just their utterly broken sbmm. I'm actually leaning toward the former because I keep running into the same people from one day to another. Another thing, basically everyone I play against has a grimoire of +4900 or a low "pvp grimoire" (like those who only play PvP) and a scarab emblem or subclass pvp emblem. In other words, they're all really hardcore about PvP. I am not so why the -blam!- am i matched with these people? Is it because those are the only ones still playing the game or has Bungie totally screwed up and placed me in the Diamond tier? I swear to God, some of these people could snipe the wings off of a fly from 3 miles away. It's boring as -blam!- to play, especially when I feel like my own team mates arent that tier. Yesterday I had several matches where I went between +2 k/d up until + 21 k/d and my best team mate had 0.67. The best team mate - meaning some of them had 0.17 and such. Like wtf!! It actually feels like I'm personally forced to go huge to have any chance of winning a match.

I saw a regular trials streamer, a very good player playing regular pvp today. Said he didnt enjoy it anymore. Other streamers have been seeing increasing lag issues.
-
I would love to play Trials, but any time I jump into 3v3's it's all snipers. I'm just not on that level with snipers (I run primary mostly w fusions). I mean, essentially I guess I need to "GIT gud" with snipers but I honestly don't enjoy the peek around corners and see who can shoot first play style (no offense to those who do) it's just not fun enough to make me want to play it. Bungie has got to be scratching their heads on what to do, cause I know they can see the decreasing numbers and sniper dominance...we will see if they implement any changes in ROI.

You ask me, trials died the second someone took the thorn into it.
-
20 RepliesTrials died the moment streamers did carries. The casual players left except for a few of us, I'm a casual and usually lucky to get 4 wins. It's horrible now that it's filled with tryhards and streamers. Hell last time it was in twilight gap my first match was against the streamer/youtuber nkuch
-
5 RepliesI'm frustrated with it. I consider myself good at this game and I get destroyed every weekend. I thinks snipers are the main reason. It's all god tier snipers camping in head glitches
-
9 RepliesCrucible is all I've been doing lately. I need the chaperone... It's the only exotic shotgun I don't have... Back at 2%
-
Most of the casuals have left, leaving only sweaties for the remaining casuals to play against. This in turn drives away the remaining casuals.
-
A tiny % of guardians played it to begin with... trials is a sweaty snipefest only...the numbers have dwindled badly.
-
Frustrated with it. Gold tier rewards usually don't give me anything good and I can't ever get 7 wins to try for a weapon.
-
Edited by DaJuan Hoonoks: 8/26/2016 6:37:47 PMThe only thing I blame Bungie for is allowing their game to become a lag infested glicthfest
-
I wouldn't say it's dying fast, but the average joe who was decent or bad left. Leaving the other decent people and good peps. Is it more sweaty than y1 yes because the amount of people playing was reduced.
-
It has been for a long time. When ttk first came out, over 2 mill ppl played trials opening weekend. Now, it's roughly around 350k per weekend. And that's across all 4 consoles. Next weekend will be the lowest played trials weekend due to old gen being dropped.
-
Trials was good when it come out cose it was new now is just boring no matter how much u like pvp trials is the most boring mode in destiny, but trials is best way to make a lot of money carrying people to lighthouse, people are stupid and pay a lot of money just to get to lighthouse
-
The terrible lag, cheating, coding issues have poisoned the well. Most gamers see other games on the horizon and have simply walked away.
-
Last year it was the same way before TTK dropped. Number were down and when the new stuff comes out the number grow. That is also why it will take a few weeks off when ROI releases
-
Pvp is horrible at the moment for me, plus with the decreased player base you are getting match up with people from the other side of the world! Redbar all over the place!
-
In trials today, I have only had really sweaty players. Can't deal with that sadly...
-
trials is way too much work and stress for rewards you have little control over whether you earn or not. I only ever do trials bounties anymore if I even do trials, that's the best thing that's happened to trials in year 2
-
Trails is not dieing u dummi I paly sweats in trails and nkuch told me it not m8
