So who is still upset that year 1 exotics & raid weapons were taken away & not brought forward.

Yes....die slow Bungie scum.

34

No....I love getting the same stuff for year 2.

14

Yes ......I'm upset and if this occurs with rise of Iorn I will not purchase.

59

Upset....Cosmo can sniff between my cheeks.

Still pissed I had to re earn every flipping exotic....I won't buy or play if rise of iron is this way, and if my characters, faction rep, and exotics don't go to year two, neither will I.

  • I uses to see these posts, shrug, and keep on scrolling. I don't anymore. It started when Omnigul was the Nightfall. I spent hours farming for a decent Grasp of Malok. I did nothing else that week. It took me until Sunday, but I finally got one. Counterbalance, Smallbore, Spray and Play. I leveled it. I played with it. I liked it. One day, a few weeks later, I was perusing my vault, looking at guns I'd saved from Y1. That's when I came upon my old Skorri's Revenge. The stat differences between it and my prized Grasp were miniscule. I looked at the roll. Counterbalance, Smallbore, Feeding Frenzy. It was virtually the same gun. So many hours I'd spent killing Omnigul over and over again. So many nights I'd stayed up too late, gone to bed frustrated. For what? For a gun I already had. It drove home for me how pointless this game can be sometimes. Why keep playing, seeking out those great weapon rolls, when every treasure we find will only be taken away, tied to a stick, and dangled in front of us to see if we'll chase it again? Now I see these Rise of Iron teasers touting how we'll be able to chase after Gjallarhorn once again, and I just shake my head. Futility is the best selling point they could come up with? My enthusiasm has not been kindled.

Not upset just disappointed in Bungie's poor choices. I was at one point though, especially knowing Bungie allowed every y1 weapon to work in PvP, but capped them at 170 in PvE. Talk about being selfish and Catering to PVP. This is the nonsense that needs to stop happening. I think what's making gamers to continuously keep bringing this up. Is Bungie bringing them back one piece at a time. why? Bungie removes them and claims they were a problem. Um, how is bringing them back one exotic at a time like the marketing tool has anything changed? Nothing has changed by removing them so, Bungie removed them from PvE soly on a lie...

Wait so what exactly happened to the guns? I just picked up the taken king so I'm out of the loop. Haven't played since HoW dlc. I still had all my old exotics and what not. I was still able to use them in the two crucible games I played earlier. So what exactly happened? Is it you just can't level the guns up dmg wise anymore or what?

        • Oh how short our memories are. In year 1 people were complaining about duplicate drops and being unable to get anything. I don't see how that is a year 2 problem. Actually year 1 is notorious for players getting nothing for their effort. Something that never really happens in y2. And I had to replace earn no exotics.

          • The only exotics you had to re-earn were ones you no longer had in your inventory when TTK dropped and the 3 from the April Update. The rest were purchasable from the kiosk. Inb4 you say "but I had to rebuy them..." Any consumable (to make y1 gear be y2 levels) that was earned from say a raid/NF drop would only lead to more of a roadblock to unlocking the Y2 versions Or A purchasable "upgrade" would most likely cost about the same as the kiosk. And realistically, just upgrading the y1 gear into y2 wouldn't work because of how they reworked them for y2.
