I appreciate your point of view and I understand why there are still players on the previous generation of consoles. However, these "next" gen consoles, now the current generation, have been on the market for some time now. Game developers were bound to drop the old gen eventually. I actually am surprised that it took this long.
-
Oh wow exactly what Bungie had told us
-
Now, what did you learn?
-
Current gen*
-
It's just like Bungie said only 10% of the community plays on old gen. You need to upgrade dude.
-
I figured that old gen would have fallen somewhere between 8 and 24 percent...
-
WOW, that's... that's a lot of people.
You rekt yourself here m8
-
Consistent with bungies data

2 RepliesI still play halo ce on the original xbox. I have games i play on the 360 and i have the xbone for current gen games. And before you say anything, I'm not a basment dweller. Been gaming a long time is all. Like a lot of people have already said, you need to upgrade. Sell your old gen stuff to raise some of the money for a new console. I worked a couple of weeks overtime to afford mine and will do the same again when scorpio comes out. Right, enough from me, I'm off to play goldeneye on the n64....
-
wow. thats almost the exact same 10% bungie told us. surprising, isnt it? that kind of backfired.
-
Well it looks like you failed.
-
Here now, the poll is exactly what Bungie said. Interesting.
PS3 player btw
-
Wow lol
-
11 RepliesI have both. I would prefer if ROI worked on both. But I understand dropping old-gen as a cost-savings - Bungie having calculated that lost revenue from old gen customers will be equal to or less than their cost to make, test, distribute and maintain the game on old gen. What is comical to me is the people who think this means the game will improve. The only potential way this would improve it is if some of the cost-savings goes into improvements.
-
Data might be flawed or inaccurate because most people on the forums might have new gen, but I'm pretty sure more people play on new gen
-
It doesn't matter, old generation hardware will be unable to support whatever is needed to make the game better. ~TheGreatNike

Ps3 player here and honestly we've had four years to upgrade to next gen. At first the prices were stupid but now they're reasonable enough to buy full price, put on layaway, or find one on craigslist. I want a ps4 not just for RoI but for other games coming out as well. Don't act like we weren't given time to upgrade.
-
Playing Next gen, but Destiny on old gen, I'll stop after Iron Banner
-
1 ReplyThat plan backfired
-
I play on both ATM. It's going to suck when I have to update my account on XBone...my clan is on 360 and my lucky drops happen more frequently when I'm gaming with them.
-
I play on both. It's been great being able to jump back and forth. If the wife is watching a show in xb1, I can jump to the other tv and play on 360.

2 RepliesI, unlike many of the immature momma's boys who think hardship is a boat made out of metal, understand $300 for a new system is a lot of money to some people. Crap move to quit it before D2 is out. But 10% isn't going to change their mind. hell 90% doesn't even change their mind when it comes to what pve vs pvp wants.

Edited by G: 6/28/2016 2:56:35 PMAlright, so would you run Adobe CC programs on a 1999 Windows Vista/XP PC? No, because that PC simply can not support that software. Technology and electronics advance, and things go out of date. Why do you think they don't make games for the original Xbox or PS1 anymore? Simply because these new games are way too advanced for that software dude. Why is that so hard to understand for some of you? You've had almost 4 years to upgrade and buy an Xbox One. If you're honestly that broke and unable to manage your money properly, then that's your own damn fault. You should have known that eventually Xbox 360 was going to become irrelevant and a waste of money.

Won't move to current gen.** 11 years. You're basically trying to game with an 11 year old computer. That wouldn't fly in the pc crowd, and it doesn't fly here. Current gen consoles are about 3 years old. That's not a new gen anymore. Also it looks like your poll completely backs up Bungie's statement that they're aren't enough players to warrant continued support. Nice job.

2 Replies10% of the fan base will not be coming with us. But 90% of a lot is still a lot.
-
1 ReplyHa that backfired huh?
