So the most unique primary has been reduced to a legendary weapon, that tick isint even worth using anymore, at this point legendary handcannons will become better simply because any other perk will do. The thorn is annoying but, it has never been op in year 2, it should not have been reduced to a normal handcannon

18 RepliesHaha nerf it to the ground. That weapon deserves it with how freaking op it was in year one. Not going to miss that bitch weapon.
-
I'm still gonna use Thorn after the nerf.

1 ReplyEdited by Deathstorm: 4/9/2016 2:24:09 PMThe next exotic to get nerf and destroyed after the April update is gonna be the QueensBreakers Bow it's a amazing in pvp you can run around any map and get head shots like crazy if you get good at it. Cry Babies Gonna Cry :(

15 RepliesThe thorn burn was never supposed to kill you. Just to stop health regen and suppress you. Just because a weapon is exotic it does not mean it has to be better than all legendaries in its archetype
-
they didnt nerf it, it stays in year 1

2 RepliesThorn will still kill in 3 shots as long as you land at least one headshot
-
2 RepliesYou can thank the PvP cry babies for destroying great weapons like thorn, suros, hawkmoon etc.
-
2 RepliesOh no Now its just hand cannon that requires 1 headshot and 2 bodyshots instead of 0 headshots and 3 bodyshots and still fires faster than all other 1 headshot 2 bodyshots requiring hand cannons and has the most range of any hand cannon in the gams

4 RepliesEdited by Orbital Drop Shock Trooper: 4/9/2016 3:58:29 PMInstead of the constant nerf to this and that with Thorn all they had to do was make DoT unable to kill you. Meaning your health would be stuck at the red until it wears off. Or DoT would auto stop at red. Besides that it was manageable like TLW which just needed its ads glitch fixed and Hawkmoon which was fine as it was save the one shot headshot pure luck potential. Three kings of handcannons should have stayed that way. Instead of NERFING them they should have made three kings of other weapons types as well that are viable to compete through preference. But the imagination and creativity is strongly lacking in output so they nerf and they nerf again. It's not balance they're achieving, its fear of taking a new step with confidence. Each nerf is such an indicator that the people behind it are scared to make pro-active changes and would rather go for the safer more boring route every time. Which actually ends up making for a worse user experience because they -blam!- it up and then they -blam!- it up again trying to fix it using the same insecure method of patching weapon balance. I'm fully confident to say that the people behind the balancing in this PvP are scared to make the right changes because of a fear the community will highlight 'op this op that'. When it will inevitably happen anyways. It's constant half assing the job with NO commitment that annoys me with this subject.

Thorn has not been nerfed it's be returned to its previous form with added benefits. MY thorn that I squired with rare (litteraly) void damage weapons only had 6 rounds in the magazine and half the reload speed it has now. The dot not only didn't stack, but it only did 1 or 2 points of damage. The green screen effect form the poison was never this intense. I'm so excited that one of my first exotics (red death, hard light, thorn) and my first non blue handcannon is returning down to earth. Now that hate that I developed for it can dissipate.

It will still keep a player from regenerating health. Very useful and the ticks can be used to see where the enemy is. Still very powerful.

5 RepliesGet over it. Sincerely, Vex Mythoclast

1 ReplyTime to find a new crutch

5 RepliesIm still going to use it just to piss everyone of. The nerf is completly unnecessary.
-
1 ReplyThey're updating it?

5 RepliesThorn does about 80 to the head. Eyasluna does about 80 to the head. Thorn shoots faster, has DOT to prevent fast recovery from kicking in, looks -blam!-ing amazing, and has piercing rounds as a passive. Honestly why are you complaining? Other guns like the Waterstar only do about 70 something to the head yet they have the same fire rate as thorn. Basically you can do more damage with thorn over a short period of time which is why it's so strong. Exotic perk or not it would out perform just about any legendary hand cannon.
-
Really.
-
1 ReplyExotics aren't supposed to be super strong tho, they are just supposed to feel cool and unique to each use without being Amy better than their legendary counterparts.
-
-
Thorn is going back to its prebuffed year 1 state
-
Bungie never learns they just keep killing their game why keep exotics back to year one we paid for your game and dlc bring all exotics to year 2 and on leave legendary guns behind
