Why do people pick on Hunters?
I'm new here so excuse me if this is a dumb question. I'm always seeing people talk about all Hunters whining and stuff. Just wondering why hunters get roasted on the daily

Edited by Obeyx721: 2/25/2016 6:18:09 AMIts not the class on the game just the people who play as them I just like a hunter cause it suits me to my liking by looks and the way I use it, dying in the game is my own fault not from any buff or disadvantage I just didnt play my spot correctly at that moment and got killed for it and same goes for anyone else I kill.

The class arch type is pretty universally hated across most multiplayer games. It's because a single target DPS build typically wrecks in pvp. Then add tactical elements to it because of not having front line armor, and it automatically makes you the enemy of tank (Titans) and AoE ranged DPS (warlocks) classes. Basically the hunter arch type is the most versatile in what and how effectively it kills in pvp game modes. Now in pve modes, they tend to have little flexibility, mostly serving as boss DPS.

Hunters and warlocks are selfish. Hunters kindof aren't as selfish now because they got Nightstalker to actually be able to help in raids, but Titans master race for pve always. But Titans have the worst perks for pvp.

Then the majority of Nerf posts on the forums seem to come from hunters I play all three characters and the hunter is by far the easiest class to use, which is probably why so many choose to main it.

Everything. They don't even have real melees. They get a second grenade that can either make them and teammates invisible or really shit on someone's face. Then there is the broken blink strike back stabs. Which proc when in front. Then they have a mix of the best nades available. Arcbolt, flux, void, and tripmine are really strong. Emphasis on strong. They have no reason to cry for nerfs. "Firebolt is op!" Honestly! How many times are you even killed by grenades? Is it just me who is rarely killed by grenades? I feel like it's not that often. Today in iron banner I killed a warlock. Teabagged him because why the f not. Then he self revived. Before he even got to move he was dead by the hand of my party crasher God roll. Are you getting it? Hunters are run by a group of little kids who can't play the game. And this is what happens. Hunter player runs at a warlock. Warlock sees him coming and throws a firebolt, then finishes him with a melee. "Ohh my goad! What theee fauk?!? Did you see dat burn on the firebowlt? Dis buwlshit is op!" Who doesn't agree with me? I also main a Titan. And I agree we have strong things too. But there's far more hunters coming on here bitching for nerfs. Have you ever seen as many hunter nerf posts as there has been sunbreaker or stormcaller nerfs? Exactly. [spoiler]Salt is not only welcomed, But appreciated. [/spoiler]

A bunch of bad eggs ruining the basket mostly. But it's kind of a long story. Long time ago before oryx parked his oversized Winnebago in the ring fields of Saturn, hunters were the go to for pvp for many players because of thier mobility, evasion, and class abilities that performed head and shoulders above the other classes in pvp, so quite naturally any player that wanted to do well in pvp flocked to the Hunter class. A lot of these players however were not quite as sporting as other players and after the first few weapon "balances" happened it became apparent to some of them that if they yelled about something loud enough and complained enough then maybe the people at bungie would take notice and cave into their demands, now I'm not sure myself who the first nerf posts were from, but as more and more of them be an to appear, a trend was noticed, and that was that a lot of these players primarily played as a hunter. Since then thier reputation has plummeted. And I think you know the rest from here.

Because people on these forums are cancerous. I can take all my high level gear off my hunter and I'll be fine. But if I put my high level gear back on its "lol hunter main noob go cry some more." I don't get it either. It honestly feels like racism to me. I think its because some Bladedancer's were getting bodied by pre nerf Sunbreakers and complained about it. Now all the sudden anyone who even has a hunter as one of their characters is a crybaby. Like I said, these forums are cancerous.

It's part of the Hunter "motif". Hunters are loners and/or outcasts. Even Cayde-6 is looked upon by the other Vanguard as such...he argues with Eris. ...it's just the way we are...and we gladly wear the mantle (or cloak) of "the hated" proudly. It's like a kind of envy. ^_^
