The division is everything good about destiny with none of the bad.
If bungie doesn't go out of business from this destiny content fiasco, even tho destiny's 10 year plan will be scrapped, I hope they don't half ass their next IP

I'm not going to say that judge it yet. You sound like I did when destiny bata dropped. I'm going to wait 3 months for reviews

2 RepliesDidn't everyone say how great the destiny beta was when it came out...

Edited by ChillGem: 1/29/2016 9:10:54 PMAll of your gripes are only valid for the beta build. When you play the beta you can tell that there are a lot of features that were purposefully locked off. Areas, missions, quests, level xp trees, etc. A lot of people forget the purpose of a beta. The true purpose of this particular beta is to make sure that the game and it's online servers run smoothly within the public experience. Some of the things you are complaining about May just be temporary. Or maybe not. There is just no way to know for sure. That's why you gotta have a clear head when playing all of these betas. And that is why it is always a smart idea to never fall for hype. You wanna make sure the gameplay is right for you before making a purchase. Also keep in mind that betas are not meant to be played for many many hours. Two or three hours is more than enough to get a feel of what the game will offer upon release. There are so few missions in the division beta. If you play it for a dozen hours or more, then of course you are gonna feel that the game is boring and repetitive.

2 RepliesWhy is this thread in this forum? Go give your division feedback on the ubisoft forums or wherever else. This is for bungie destiny feedback.

6 RepliesThe Division has potential. But honestly I'm only looking for a single player game and its definitely something refreshing. I almost got it with Fallout 4, but it was missing the last thing I need to stay hooked. The Division is promising so far, but I need more info. I'm probably gonna wait for Angry Joe to review it to make my decision.

What an original post. Maybe you could put it up in The Division forum? Ohhhhh, right. Lol.
-
5 RepliesDivision is just a typical 3rd person shooter nothing special, very disappointed!
-
10 RepliesAlmost everything I've seen points to... It's not really a shooter It's not really that good
-
14 RepliesTotaly different game type and not a fps

13 RepliesThis post is delusional. While destiny needs improvement it is better in every aspect. The divisions graphics are ps2 style. The mechanics are terrible. It's not fun and shooting bullet sponge humans is bad. The division won't keep people playing like destiny. Stop comparing or even say the division gets everything destiny didn't get right. The division is terrible. Lost interest fast.

I doubt it dude, i think it will be another money grab like destiny. Ill wait b4 i buy it.
-
I've played it to but division will definitely not kill destiny.

Edited by UnwanteDreamz: 1/29/2016 5:40:30 PMThis one is going to bring the Desticles out in full force. Good job.

5 RepliesEdited by Fallacy: 1/29/2016 5:33:05 PMThey're two different games. I can't really see them as comparable.

5 RepliesUr comparing a third person shooter to an fps..... also y do i get the feeling it wont be as good as all the hype especially considering all the bugs im hearing about the beta
-
12 RepliesLol, these posts crack me up. Destiny's dead! Destiny's dead! Fallout.. Battlefront.. Halo 5.. all were prophesied to be the nails in the coffin, but.. didn't happen. The division doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell at accomplishing that. Wanna know what's gonna kill Destiny?
Destiny 2
I really don't see the parallel that people keep drawing between The Division and Destiny. They focus on opposite gameplay styles (Destiny is a shooter first and an RPG second, while The Division is an RPG first). Not to mention that despite all of the flaws in Destiny (of which there are many), Bungie still managed to make a game that has reasonably solid aspects of both a shooter and an RPG, whereas The Division is a cover-based RPG with shitty TPS gameplay mechanics. This is not to say that The Division won't draw even more people away from Destiny, because it will, as all the other so-called "Destiny killers" have. But all of those games that fall into that category draw people away from Destiny for different reasons, and none of those reasons include being out there specifically to be a "Destiny killer." Above all else, it unfortunately speaks volumes about the foundation that Destiny has laid out to even suggest that developers need to create games that will kill it. If it is so bad, why don't more people stop playing it on their own without some other company telling them that they should play their game instead? I know for me personally, I still play Destiny because it's fun, and I choose to focus on the fun parts of the game instead of all the shitty parts. Granted, once Fallout 4 was released I played Destiny a lot less frequently, but that's mostly because I was one of those die-hard Fallout fans that had been waiting the better part of a decade for another Fallout game, and I was and still am very excited to continue playing it and see what sort of expansions Bethesda has in the works. But none of that sentiment was rooted in finding something to "kill" Destiny.

1 ReplyIt's splinter cell with loot grinding....this is not game changing tbh...
-
I've played it too for several hours, yes it is good, "very good" infact, but a Destiny killer? No chance of that, two entirely different styles. The Division play style is based on stealth and patience whereas Destiny is space magic fun. I will buy The Division and will play it, but that won't stop from playing destiny at all (raids, crucible etc). So.... A Destiny killer?.. Far from it

3 RepliesEdited by Rawmark001: 1/29/2016 11:23:27 AMThe Division was supposed to move forward in video games. I was really unimpressed when it was shown in E3 2015. It looked so good during 2013. What the hell is Ubisoft doing to make games look so good till release it look so crappy? Seems like we're moving backwards

4 Replies3rd person shooter. It will not draw 1st person purist which are a large crowd. 3rd person is completely immersion destroying IMO. I like to look down the barrel of the weapon I'm holding. Unless they come out with a 1st person view it's not even a consideration.

I love it, it's real bad ass, finally I can choose what my perks my weapon has, and the dark zone is so tense. But to all you oddballs out there who only ever choose to play one game in their life, I will pop pack to destiny once in a while.
