Iron Banner is a joke!!! BUNGIE, You suck
I've played a handful of games so far. For some reason none of my rounds were registering. I know I miss, but I was missing a lot. So I check, Guess what? Bickering -blam!-ing surprise, everyone on the enemy team is red bar. Cmon bungie. Don't tell me it's my connection because I can play against everyone just fine but the 2 or 3 guys teleporting around and not taking any damage what so ever and they happen to have a score 3 times that of anyone else. WTF? We get it. You'll never actually do anything to improve pvp unless it requires nerfs or buffs. God for bis you actually do some technical work in the area of networking. You know, the area that's never been improved since day -blam!-ing 1.

It's just a joke because I join late triple capped games and I get killed on spawn by heavy, besides all the crap this Iron Banner, I've enjoyed every single one until now

Hey give them some slack they are just stock holders, not real gamers or developers lol. On a serious note, what makes you think they will fix it? There have been complaints since day one and no patch has covered the networking. They make excuses or they say eventually they will fix it. I don't know how two to three dollars a month is too expensive but apparently they think so; if you are wondering why I said two to three dollars that's the cost of running a server after purchasing them.

16 Repliesthis garbage happened yesterday. My team was ahead by 3000-4000 points and then the game changed drastically against us when 2 players on the other team start teleporting, shots aren't registering, getting killed behind solid objects. I take a look and 2 opposing players are red barred. Then the points completely flipped as fast as the game changed in their favor because of these cheaters. i understand if you have bad connection but these guys were cheating/lagging. So reports were sent and soon after the cheater/lagger left the game but the damage was already done. Another round lost.

LOTS of lag this morning. Only played one game and that was enough for me. Hit a player with a melee 4 times before i die then he dies. Getting shot and then dying after running around for another 6 seconds. Control points open then suddenly under control, when no one is there. Kind of bad for a special destiny event MEANT to increase players. Who would play a lag filled anything...

Edited by Dooodley: 1/1/2016 7:50:08 PM* JiP, totally ruining the expereince for solo players. * Matching solo players and parties of 2 against full fireteams = totally lopsided matches and more quitters * The lag and netcode in general * The map rotation is the worst - and that's in a game where the maps in general are bad. * Getting killed by the same stormcaller three times during the same super because the spawns are so bad and the duration of Bungie's gimmicky supers are over the top * Ridiculous aim assist on snipers. * Ninja nerfed the rewards because the community was actually satisfied with them the last time around. And God knows that we can't have it that way. *No one uses a primary because of the over the top special drops and spawn ammo. PvP in this game shouldnt even get a 1 on a scale to 10.

It's ridiculous. Apart from the lag, I always get put in with teams that have no idea what is happening. I'm not great by any means but I'm usually the only one with a positive kd and of course 80% of the time I lose. I wish I had never started banner.

This is happening to me alot as well and reporting is pointless they barely do anything. And then iron banner is pointless now anyways they messed up rank packages

This happened to me on one match so far, and I'm rank three. Every other match I've played has been OK in terms lag, or lack thereof. Sometimes you get a laggy match. No control over that. Control what you can.

Lag is definitely a issue, especially during iron banana. The only thing on my destiny 2 wish list is dedicated servers.

I was put into a round where my team was 10,000 points behind the opposition and in clear view of an opposing guardian, with a fully loaded LMG. I was dead before the spawn animation finished... It has happened three times to me today now. How is this in anyway acceptable?

LITERALLY CAN'T WIN A MATCH WHEN NOT FIRETEAM'D UP. clash iron banner is infinitely better f[b]u[/b]ck control it's just fireteams camping B with supers and the cheapest way to kill you until you lose and decide never to play iron banner without a fireteam of your own. not to mention the lag and 0 map diversity this time.

1 ReplyYou have to watch out for people in a fireteam all lagging. It usually means that either they are abusing their host's poor internet connection, (cheating) or they're lag switching. You very rarely run into lag switchers, but when you do, you'll definitely know. Just report them through the in-game reporting system, and report them through the console reporting system. Bungie can't do anything about it if they don't know they're cheating. Hope you have better luck in the future guardian!

On ps4 last night I was thrown into some terrible matches, we couldn't pick up special or heavy at some points, i made a video of me landing 6 clear head shots to one guy and he still had full shield and shot gunned me. I did my bounties and left. The lag is now getting beyond a joke.

1 ReplyI've encountered lots of this. Only takes one lagging bastard to ruin a game... They become invincible as they're glitching around like a flappy spastic. They always end up killing me lol... I punched one flapper 5 times and then shotgun to the face... Nothing. Makes me wonder if people deliberately do it (not sure how), to protect that KD :'D

Sure, I'll have a game where some idiot is jittering around, but it's like 1 minute of an actual problem that effects me for every hour of game play. I don't get it... are you people using gerbil-run dial-up?

4 RepliesSome people don't seem to get it. Red barring is bad, it doesn't help you in a match, quite the opposite. When I'm red barring my hit registration collapses, I struggle to kill opponents and my kd goes down 50%. And if it were my connection how come if I log out and back in I'll be green barring again every time? Until I get put in another laggy lobby. Bungie's set up is at fault. We should get together as consumers and sue them!

18 RepliesThere really is no excuse for an ONLINE ONLY game released in 2014 to not have dedicated servers. reality is destiny is what it is. If destiny 2 doesn't have dedicated servers the only thing we can do is vote with our wallets and refuse to buy more of this. I am fortunate to have great internet, top shelf networking gear, wired network connections, and the knowledge to make it all work properly No other game besides destiny gives me errors, lag, connection issues, chat issues, long list of other inexplicable issues and we have 3 xbox 360's and 2 xbones.
