I am an Alpha, Beta, Day 1 player and im on my last string.
-Microtransactions
-Time gates
-Dishonesty
-Ps4 Exclusives
This is a recipe for shit.
I'm on ps4 and even I don't agree with the exclusive iron banner armor.
70$ Vanilla- gave me the chance to be max level, semi-balanced PvP, No Thorn or OP pulse rifles.. just Auto Rifles needed a small Nerf. VOG greatest raid Destiny will ever have.
20$ TBD- Was great made us think the future of Destiny would be more like this! Little did we know it was already in the game and they made us pay for it.
20$ HoW- was actually quite good, you could use any gear any weapons, just messed up PvP though with OP ass weapons and shitty PoE
40$ TTK- it was really good before we started seeing the transparency of the dlc.. we lost all of our weapons and gear we spend litterally days in game earning and now its a rinse and repeat cycle.
Total: 150$ for the original game..
Trust me I played World of Warcraft, exact same shit happened and trust me it did die.
As will Destiny, until they stop trying to make so much -blam!-ing money and focus on making a good game.
Now microtransactions are all they hype up and talk about.. Srl racing? What a -blam!-ing waste. Yea its cool but its probably been around since Vanilla anyway like everything else.
TLDR: Bungie wants money. Bungie doesnt care about its players. All they see is dollar signs. Until they focus on making a great game, I am steering clear from any new DLC..
Fanboys: I feel bad for you all, defending a company that doesnt care about you. I understand though. You gotta go down with your sinking ship.
You get fkd in the a$$ and dont say anything youll continue to get fkd in the a$$ by Bungie. Enjoy your a$$ fkn or speak up and demand change.

Unsalty logical responses:

It's crazy that people bash you for posts like these..
Yeah I get that there's a lot of posts like these, but honestly there's a reason for it!
We can all agree we love this game, or would wouldn't be playing it..and definitely wouldn't be on the forums.
Coming from a day 1 player, this game has made drastic improvements in certain areas. But it's as soon as they get something right..the turn something else into absolute shit (fusion rifles anyone??).
Bottom line is, posts like these are made to make people aware of this shit. So maybe, Bungle will become aware and fix shit. And Maximize this games incredible potential.
That's all

I don't hate destiny as a game, but what really gets me is that bungie doesn't take responsibility for their failed weapons update. I mean come on, there was "a typo" and that AR's were supposed to be buffed by .7% not 7%, .4% not 4%... You've got to be kidding me. On top of that they also lied ( or just screwed up ) my favorite special weapon: fusion rifles. ADS stability is atrocious now on fusion rifles. I was really looking forward to that weapon patch... I don't know, I just don't know anymore

It's basically just the monetary value attached to bullshit products that don't do anything. Like $10 for a statistics screen with the racing record book, or $5 emotes.
With other companies, the microtransactions actually feel like they have an actual value for what you're paying (like purchasing weapons or entire characters in Warframe, or unlocking entire weapon trees in Battlefield, etc.) while Bungie attempts to capitalize on the same quantities of money for 5-second dance moves or paper masks for your Guardian.
And for anyone who played since day one, I can see why they'd be mad after playing through two anemic DLCs and one decent expansion just to have this shit be Destiny's "final form".

I think he more concerned about the current state of the game. As in how they haven't actually created anything new to release. Everything you played so far (other then sparrow racing) was developed before the vanilla release of destiny. Do a little research on what happened to the story. The original story that was tossed out ended on the dreadnaught. The dark below and house of Wolves were completed prelaunch and Bungie has no new content to release. I know dlc takes time, but they had over a year. They spent the first year taking stuff out of the game and re working a new story over it and released it as a "massive new dlc" that didn't expand any content. How many strikes did we have in rotation before the taken king dropped? How many did we have after it dropped? Here is a hint, vanilla destiny shipped with 5 strikes and we currently have 5 in rotation. They literally took away content and most people are thanking them for it. I'm a huge fan of destiny, have been following it development for the day it was announced. The reef was fully formed and displayed within the first year of development. It wasn't a surprise to anyone in the know that we got the social space there as they did show it off in full (NPCs didnt populate it) a year or two before the launch date.

The light level thing and the time gated items are why I don't play destiny with any seriousness anymore. I fluctuate a lot with games now,ive been just wasting a little time here and there with destiny,I haven't done anything serious at all.
Why bother? Light levels are ridiculous, possibly the worst leveling system to date, can't use whatever I want in strikes, raids,ToO and banner anymore because of it. All end game content gives shit based on light and not actual unique items, all the emphasis is on light level, which doesn't even matter for anything outside of ToO and the raid, which in turn only gives you more light related crap! It's so redundant.
I'd be able to partially get over that if I could, you know, actually get the new -blam!-ing exotics I paid for over 2 months ago! I mean for Christ sake,i lost interest in destiny before I could even get the content I paid for when I bought the Damn dlc.
I can't take this game or this company seriously anymore. When you say "includes "x" new exotics" that usually means they are in the -blam!-ing dlc, not being purposely held off because the developer knows the game is dying. That's false advertisement for one and,if it weren't for the bullshit terms and reg we all agreed to when we bought the game, itd be illegal as -blam!-,considering we didn't receive the goods/services we were promised in exchange for the money we gave them, two theyd probably be getting sued all over the place for pulling this shit.
Dirty business, insulting and blatantly transparent. It really just leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you try to enjoy the game.
4 RepliesI'm sorry but hold on. At release , weapons like SUROS Regime were doing 40+damage a headshot at Scout rifle range. The TTK of auto rifles was up the wazoo. Scouts were absent from pvp. Pulse rifles were terrible. Absent from everything including pve. Hand cannons were also in a terrible spot. Everyone has fond memories of vanilla but it was auto rifles, fusion rifles and that's it. Fusion rifles also cross mapped people. I would know I had a beautiful high impact fusion rifle with Send it & Range Finder. Vanilla had a lot going for it but it was a game absent of content, and its pvp had no substance. Although now, the game is starting to feel like those Korean MMOs that has been around too long and has too much crap going bad for it.

6 RepliesIkr.... Waiting for the ToM Clancy the division and I'm out
-
5 RepliesYou know what I think of this, eh! I think it's... Your opinion. If you're not enjoying the game, feel free to leave. Admittedly Bungie could improve the game, however, Micro-transactions are optional, and the game is in one of the best places it's been for a long time.

2 RepliesLOLLLLOL DESTINY IS DEAD, DESTINY IS LIKE A CRASHED SHIP AND EVERYBODY IS EATING EACHOTHER LMAO, I MEAN PEOPLE ACTUALLY FIGHT OVER WHICH CLASSES ARE BETTER? ROFL CANT WAIT TILL BUNGIVISION ANNOUNCES YOUR DESTINY PROGRESS WONT TRANFER ONTO DESTINY 2 CoD>Destiny any day, glad I stopped playing this game

Signed. Beta player here. I like playing the game with my friends. But I'm a bit disappointed after it all with how Bungie has handled things. Vanilla Destiny was atrocious. Crota's End was okay. HoW was towards a good direction with bringing back old weapons. No raid though. TTK should have been Vanilla Destiny. I think Bungie/Activision should have delayed the game by a year or so. Then maybe we all would have gotten a superior experience.
-
What's with the beta player posts lately...
-
It's a shame Destiny didn't turn out to be what it was originally intended to. Guess that's what happens when you team up with Activision, and have head people leave or quit. Gotta admit though I had fun with friends, until the game kept on repeating its terrible formula of repeat everything every week to try and get max level. That will probably never change. I honestly don't think I've ever seen a new game franchise screw over its loyal fans so much and so fast. It's like one of those marriages where the husband beats the wife, but the wife stays thinking things will change for the better just to keep getting more beatings. Point is I'm glad ended my addiction to this game. I don't even feel bad for not paying for TTK either, especially after buying the Ghost Edition of the vanilla game.

8 RepliesIm with you man. Got every single exotic in the game.... They started these "events" and Im just like wtf. Ive been reading salty posts since Destiny released. I get it now. Count me back in when they add some real content, unless they go all in on the pay to win shite they're currently dabbling in.
-
1 ReplyI agree. I play Dark Souls 2 now. Destiny was like that girlfriend that only wants your money and gives nothing in return. Glad I drop-kicked her out of my life. Let the desticles have her.
-
Nooooooooo! An Alpha is leaving! Bungie! Stop this madness!
-
I agree with this, I've been on and off with destiny mainly because the DLC content isn't all what they make it out to be. But what do I care, I got all the DLC for free as a gameshare from a very nice friend of mine
-
9 RepliesCool we don't care. I read none of that because you're only the 1000th person to post that this week.
-
Ok, sounds good.

6 RepliesEdited by SLlIK: 12/19/2015 12:19:17 AMWhy the fūck do people feel so entitled when they've played this game for 1.25 years? Calling themselves veterans of destiny? Youre not a veteran of game/franchise till its been out for at least 3 years, maybe 4 or 5. If you think youre a veteran what does that make someone whos played every single Battlefield day 1? Nobody gives a shit that you're leaving after just over a year, this game was always going to change a lot, and its going to change a lot still. In 7 years when others finally get sick you're going to look like such a chump.
-
1 year for me and I kind of gave up. My friends still play so that's why I still play.
-
1 ReplyBeen over for me since Fallout 4 came out. Reminded me of what makes a good game. Goodbye Destiny. I haven't missed you.
-
5 RepliesYet another "I'm leaving Destiny." thread that NO ONE CARES ABOUT. Bye Felicia.
-
4 RepliesCool, I'm a beta and year 1 player, and I plan to continue enjoying this game for the next 9 years. Cheers
-
7 RepliesAnother one of these? Dude. Seriously. If you are leaving a party, do you stand by the front door and yell "just wanted to let you all know I'm leaving". If you want to go, just go. No one cares about your grandstanding and bs.
-
11 RepliesHaha what company gives a shit about their customers it always bottom dollar? And why is everyone so pissy about the micro-transactions? They get you jack shit , you don't even need to spend money on them, hell I'm a spaz that's willing to spend money on it but none of it makes the game better so why is everyone so uppity about it?
-
4 RepliesGood for you! Now prove your commitment and delete all your characters and sell off the disc.
-
I guess I'm the only person who didn't care about the "cut content" I guess this is the first time a lot of people have felt like they've been screwed over.
