DON'T use 3ofC on consecutive SRL games
Been testing this morning, it's the same drop rate as farming Draksis, around 6-7%, I've gotten 3 from 45 races. The normal drop rate when used with a 10 min cooldown is 16- 18%.
If you insist on using via SRL, use alternately, 1 every 2 races to get the full potential
Edit: It appears I'm wrong , I had 7 engrams in my postmaster. No idea why they didn't flash up in game, but that tallys with my overall 18% drop rate over literally hundreds and hundreds used since they started. So it's pretty safe to assume the cooldown is 5 mins between usage, as in activated usage, the moment the game uses them.

Did it after each race last night for maybe 10 races and went 4-10. So 40% is not bad

Use 1 ever 3 races. 4th race pop one. Am 2/3 doing it this way.

Jesus people. The punishment for popping them before the cool down is that you don't get the increased chance on the next coin. It doesn't reduce or eliminate the base chance at all. I don't understand why nobody remembers this.

Ok cool after first I thought you were right, as I used about 12-15 and only got two, I used to do better with that using one like every 15-20 minutes so I was gonna try every other race. Thanks for the info man.

15 RepliesThe cooldown is 15 minutes. Anything above that (two in a row in 5 minutes) is just lucky RNG.

I don't even think there is a cool down if you use them in PVP. The only reason the cooldown was introduced in PVE is to stop people farming bosses. I got 4 exotics in 3 races yesterday suing 3oC. Got a double drop followed by single exotic drops.

Here we see the brain at work. Desperately struggling to find a pattern in something that woris with luck. You could get 5 after each other or you get nothing imn five rounds. Such brainmazing. Much wow. Very brains. Such patterns.

1 ReplyI don't know why but SRL was using my coins on its own. I didn't pop a single one myself started racing looked at my inventory and I had lost 5 of them.

Yeah, I had 3 drop in 6 matches in a little less than an hour. Not true. Outside of that 3 matches is the longest streak I've gone without one dropping.

Sorry but that's not true, I use them every game, got a chest engram drop, then the the next race a heavy engram.

Edited by PeetSquared: 12/11/2015 1:52:46 PMGuys, the cool down only goes into effect once you've had an engram drop. Just last night, I popped 3oC, got nothing, popped another and hit up a Taken champ like 3 minutes later and got an engram. Dusclaimer, I have no idea how or if this applies to SRL.

Lol I used 10 across 10 races and got 4 exotics. It's all luck.

Pretty sure a giant reddit thread from months ago proved 5 minutes was the minimum time. And that was pooled from the posters month long experience along with other peoples. Pvp could of course be different. But we have no indication of that.
