Edited by viz762: 11/9/2015 4:09:09 AMI haven't played CoD in years and don't care enough to research this; doesn't activision own them also? Because if they do...
-
2 RepliesIt's a new game after all. Besides its not like they can't play MORE THAN ONE GAME at a time. The 12 year olds who like COD will be back.
-
Almost my whole friends list is cod
-
I mean honestly? From someone who enjoys both games? You get kills in cod, you rank up. You unlock equipment. You grind raids in destiny, you might rank up, you hope equipment drops. I can see the appeal cod has right now especially with four man campaign which is hella fun, zombies, which is always entertaining, and a surprisingly balanced and high fps multiplayer. Will it last forever? Absolutely not, but destiny has twice now lasted me around a month before there's nothing to do. I'm guessing 90 percent of actual destiny players (not forum users) don't want to grind the same raid over and over. And destiny pvp is a joke. You can pick up any gun and do well in cod, not so much for destiny. So of course people are leaving in droves. Some will come back, some will move on. That's how gaming works. I will say that there is nothing new to do in destiny, so no one will really be back until dlc drops.

2 RepliesMass effect andromeda anyone?
-
I ditched it for halo 5. Gotta get dat Spartan booty
-
4 RepliesI did what any Destiny player should do, bought it first on PC to validate and then bought for the console after confirming it's a great game.
-
why not play both
-
4 Repliesit's Activision that's really gonna take the hit. I hope they survive this.
-
I cant bring myself to spend money on another COD game. Ill borrow it feom someone. Fallout 4
-
They don't care because both are made by activision
-
Go try arena they'll be back
-
There are those that don't have next gen yet so they will stay
-
2 RepliesDestiny won't die, they will still have their few hundred thousand dedicated folks no matter what. To those saying once cod gets stale in a few months we'll be back, I highly doubt it, too many good games and current gen specific games are coming out. It's what we've been waiting for. I personally didn't buy a ps4 or xbone to steadily play ps3 and 360 quality garbahj (as the French in France would say)
-
They will be back They always are
-
RIP Destiny. RIP Activision.
-
Cods dying AV, Ghosts and MW3 sucked, the games flood out without good content. Bo3 is good but it can't fix all of cods mistakes let the hate flood in
-
Cool Bruh
-
CoD isn't going to kill Destiny.
Fallout 4 will
Bottom line, Bungie (nor I for that matter) care if you play between now and when the next expansion comes out. People will buy the new expansion. It's not going to die. It's okay to play other games. You guys think that creating topics like these are personal insults to Bungie execs and staff? No. You playing everyday does not make Activision or Bungie revenue. You playing COD does make Activision money right now because you just bought the game. In a month they won't care about you until the COD DLC comes out. They will want you to buy new maps. That is all the content you will get. Are you gonna complain when that content gets old. No. Because they care less about those communities than you claim Bungie does about theirs.

3 RepliesGive it maybe a month before people get sick of zombies and the multiplayer and then they all come back to destiny
