I tried telling myself that there's nothing over-powered about a Sunbreaker Titan but after playing Iron Banner last night with people in my skill gap, I can no longer deny that the HoS Super is broken.
Golden Gun shots require more than 1 shot on a fully armored Titan.
Blade Dance cannot even get in proximity to do anything.
Shotgun+Melee leaves a dent and nothing more.
Headshots with snipers cannot kill

Like what else is there?
Running is probably the most effective way to combat it but if it's not gonna kill me, it's going to destroy my team.
I didn't know how much of an issue this was until I played control since I normally play rumble or 3v3 game types but this broken ass class needs to be rebalanced so that it's super isn't breaking pvp and to where the titan can offer more to a team outside of it's super.

Team work brother, chain supers I started with my mates after having it successfully done to me. It's just adapting to the circumstance at hand. What makes gaming fun it should be challenging sometimes borderline infuriating, but ultimately cause you to rejoice when you get the damn Bain of your existence cause you figured out how to counter it. Nothing that is easy in life is worth it, unless it's a easy hot chick and cold beer.

3 Repliesas a sunbreaker titan main, golden gun most likely will one shot, bladedancer can get to me and kill me, its entirely your fault if you try to get close and shotgun melee me, and if i don't have literally 100% of my health, sniper headshots will probably also kill me
-
One thing I've found funny is that 2 of best ways to counter HoS is FoH or a suppressor grenade.

95 RepliesEdited by Ninja Monkey: 10/14/2015 9:56:25 PMTitan is a tank, there is no game in existence that you will find a squishy tank. It's a TANK, it takes a beating! They are slow, bulky, heavy armored, hard hitting tanks made to take damage and deal it out every so often. Warlocks and Hunters can't one shot a Titan, ITS A TANK! You can't one shot melee a Titan, ITS A TANK! Warlocks and hunters can't take the damage of a Titan, THEY AREN'T TANKS! Tanks are meat shields, get used to it, because I don't think they are going anywhere any time soon. I didn't say anything about the damage output... I'm just surprised that people don't know what "Tank" means. PvP damage could use a little nerf, maybe 4 hammers total in PvP (match hunters max shots) But tank traits stay, I mean, it's a Tank.

You have to treat them like gunslingers. Run and hide. Can you take down a gunslinger? Of course you can. Is it worth the risk? Not really.
-
I've started using fusion rifles and they seem to 2 burst titans, if you can hop around and avoid you can kill them
-
1 ReplyThe chaperone works well on them if you're close enough. I 2 shotted a few in iron banner the other day and it felt glorious. Though I know that's a pretty crummy fix lol
-
1 ReplyJust shadow shot us:) it pisses me off
-
I think a really titany thing would be if there was a sunspot permanently around you in your super and you moved weight of darkness 10 speed with more hammers that leave sunspots.
-
2 RepliesI dunno, I've been able to go toe-to-toe with a couple Titans mid super. You just need to stay in the air, they can't even get close to hitting you. If you make them waste in then they have nothing. Don't get me wrong, I've been sniped from across the map with a flaming hammer and didn't even have a chance, It's just not as "OMG HAMMERS ARE OP!! NERF NOW" as everyone thinks.

Try using a Scarab Gun next time, it'll do the job.

Blah blah blah same old story.

Most people who make these comments suffer from two issues, that I will list here/ 1) You have never played a sunbreaker. Therefore, you don't understand the strengths/ weaknesses of the super and just view it as a death sentence. This super has several drawbacks (I will list them later, and even tell you how to counter it), and you really have to play it to see them. 2) You go into the crucible with a mindnumbingly bad mindset. Most, if not all, people who call for nerfs into the crucible come into it with this mindset- "I can rush at anything, and kill anything by just rushing straight into it". Go into the crucible with just any legendary. You will notice that smart tactics and careful play will lead to a good kd, and the "super op omg bng pls nerf" gear that you are raging about is no match for these tactics. I have seen people, while I am in sunbreaker, stand still and shoot me. The rush me, or stay immobile, instead of moving, or getting out of effective range, or using a grenade to weaken, etc. They deserve to die because they expect to facetank me. You can't facetank everything in the game, get over it. So, as promised: How to deal with a sunbreaker: 1) Get off the ground. Hammers are small aoe tools. If you are on the ground, you are an idiot. Get in the air as you flee, 9 times out of 10 the titan won't be able to hit you. 2) Hit and run. Sunbreakers are in a super state. They are not to be taken on solo and stationary. Hit them with a few quick shots, and move out of range. You can also use grenades to weaken them, and then ambush them around the corner. Point is, don't try to down all the health in one attack run. 3) Counter super, use heavy weapons. They are in a super. You can't just shoot them twice with your ar and go "Bungie why it no work? I shot it good, Right?"

Taking down a Sunbreaker Titan makes me feel like I'm actually slaying the Titans from "Attack on Titan"
-
Black spindle will headshot a sunbreaker. But yes, the armor buff needs to go.
-
Right now iron banner is full of shitty hunters using the infinite shadow shot glitch
-
I have no problem with HoS, I just get head shots with my black spindle, it's a one shot head shot.
-
54 RepliesActually it isn't. You and your friends completely suck at pvp. You can shotgun Melee. A blade dancer has killed me twice they take two hammers to kill. You can get a headshot with a sniper and still kill them. So actually get good at the game. Stop calling for nerfs and all this bullshit you're literally ruining the game for other people because you're a Whiney little bitch that sucks at the game
-
2 RepliesNext time run there's nothing you can do!!! At least Titans have the decency to warn you with the anvil sound. That's you cue to run for your life!!
-
Okay lets be honest here, most supers, more often than not, force the targeted person to pretty much turn and run the other way, killing a person with an active super requires both skill and a little luck but most of the time youre pretty much gonna die (MOST of the time, not ALL the time, so no one gets butthurt)
-
14 RepliesUse the bow
-
9 RepliesOnce you nerf Sunbreaker super the entire class is worthless and Titans are right back where we started.
-
2 RepliesEdited by Paesano099: 10/15/2015 3:00:57 AMI don't get it, everyone keeps saying HoS can survive a GG shot. I call bullshit, I run max armor on my Titan and most certaintly do not survive GG shots. The only way you can, I believe is if you have a perk that increases armor when using a solar subclass.
-
Clearly you should just use celestial nighthawk.
-
4 RepliesRunning SHOULD NOT be the only way to beat a super. If you don't have yours, fine. You run. If you do. You should be able to have an even chance of who shoots first. Rant over

Storm caller always gets em for me 2 shotgun shells 3 duos nags with wind up perk
