If you have Touch of Malice, Sleeper Simulant and Black Spindle you are not a scrub...
People are always looking for metrics by which to judge others in Destiny. Besides grimoire, I'd say either having or not having those three weapons is the best indicator of what kind of player you are.
The cool thing is each one says something different about you. Touch of Malice shows determination. It says that you cared enough to find 45 calcified fragments (regardless of what method you used to find them) and perhaps most importantly you have finished the raid.
Sleeper Simulant shows you are an active member of the community. Let's be honest probably 99.6% of us had to look up the steps and/or passcodes. The guys who figured this all out are legends and in a completely separate category from most of us. Basically it shows that you check the forums and know how to look up stuff on Destiny.
I saved the best for last. Black Spindle. One of the fiercest challenges I have ever faced as a Guardian. Easily the best indicator of skill out of the three. It's unlikely you got carried through that mission and shows that you pulled your weight.
If you don't have all three you are a filthy, disgusting casual and The Traveler frowns upon your existence :) git gud scrubs.
Edit #1. Wow this blew up overnight. Many of you have requested that I add the Chaperone and exotic swords to this. I have the Chaperone and it does belong here. Using a nerfed Last Word in the crucible was a true test of character (excluding boosting of course). I don't have my exotic sword yet (I'm close) so I can't speak on that.

I do have a chaperone and [b]an exotic sword [/b] (and I see the only reason you haven't said an exotic sword doesn't make you a 'scrub' is because you don't have it yet so you don't want to be a 'scrub') but scrub is just a word from (probably a 12 year old) from somewhere he feels safe to cuss from his mom (unless your an adult then I support your free speech) but just call them casual because people really don't want to farm for all that just to not be called a name from a kid/adult

I have Sleeper and the Malice, but the reason I didn't get the spindle is because I was never a huge black hammer fan anyway and this is just a nerfed version of it anyway, but to each his own. I'm loving the Malice and Sleeper right now though.

You and i both have the black spindle not because we are better than others, we have it because rng provided us with the right gear and we had the right light level. I dont pat myself on the back for killing mindless, predictable AI, true skill comes from out gunning and out smarting other intelligent & experienced human beings in the crucible. Personally i think the jade rabbit is better than the touch of malice, both have unlimited ammo but jade has it in more circumstances, touch of malice is only practical in the raid so once i got jade i saw no reason to grind for ToM. Sleeper simulant quests were stupid easy, all you had to do was be online. That required no skill what so ever.
