People are always looking for metrics by which to judge others in Destiny. Besides grimoire, I'd say either having or not having those three weapons is the best indicator of what kind of player you are.
The cool thing is each one says something different about you. Touch of Malice shows determination. It says that you cared enough to find 45 calcified fragments (regardless of what method you used to find them) and perhaps most importantly you have finished the raid.
Sleeper Simulant shows you are an active member of the community. Let's be honest probably 99.6% of us had to look up the steps and/or passcodes. The guys who figured this all out are legends and in a completely separate category from most of us. Basically it shows that you check the forums and know how to look up stuff on Destiny.
I saved the best for last. Black Spindle. One of the fiercest challenges I have ever faced as a Guardian. Easily the best indicator of skill out of the three. It's unlikely you got carried through that mission and shows that you pulled your weight.
If you don't have all three you are a filthy, disgusting casual and The Traveler frowns upon your existence :) git gud scrubs.
Edit #1. Wow this blew up overnight. Many of you have requested that I add the Chaperone and exotic swords to this. I have the Chaperone and it does belong here. Using a nerfed Last Word in the crucible was a true test of character (excluding boosting of course). I don't have my exotic sword yet (I'm close) so I can't speak on that.

Edited by Urban Shade: 10/11/2015 8:44:00 PMHmmm I don't have sim because out of all the three, that one can be the most time consuming and I don't have time to get sim. Oh well. Probably this coming weekend I'll try

I don't care what guns you have. If you're bad...then you're bad.
-
If you don't have all three equipped at once, you're still a scrub.
-
I have them and the 3 exotic swords The black spindle mission was not hard all Did it first go with 2 minutes to spare IMO I think the black spindle is the best gun in the game hands down
-
I dnt have sleeper cause I couldn't play on the 7th but I have 20 kf completions I guess I'm a scrub

2 RepliesThere are many difference ways and reasons to play games. Those who do what you're advocating are what I call collectors. Those that find satisfaction in completing as much of a game as possible. Then there are those that want the thrill of the game, winning prizes isn't their thing (PvP players). Then you have people like me that are goal driven AND base what they do on cost vs benefit. The weapons you list as "requirements" I have no use for. Granted I may do them if I find them enjoyable but once it feels like work, I'm done. I did hold my nose to get through the Quest line that opens up lvl 36 strikes because that's what I wanted to do. I believe all you're doing is playing elitist, to that I say to each his own.

Totes have all 3. :3

Edited by xilxad: 10/11/2015 8:10:05 PMI have all three of those weapons and my fire team also did one exotic sword strike, obtaining all three swords at once.

Got sleeper, chaperone, and bolt caster. Had a shitload of studying on the days the spindle was available, and am currently sitting at about 35-40 ish fragments. Need to do the court of oryx shot for that.

Would have Sleeper, but PoE glitched on round 4, causing me to orbit. Played the weekly playlist and didn't get marks. I was infuriated enough that I haven't played it for close to a week. Can't bring myself to torture myself by booting up the game. Had those two things not happened, I might be singing a different tune.

Update: just got touch of malice Now I have all 3 I am pro
