Xur surprised me today - i did not know he leaves so early on Sundays and was working for that last coin to buy some legendary gear (it was my first time buying from him today).
I observe the Sabbath from sundown Friday until one hour after sundown on Saturday.
For 25 hours I cannot use electronics or work.
As a Destiny fan who is finally at the level where I can start buying from Xur, I was disappointed to find that he disappeared early on Sunday.
Why can't this vendor, who is the main source of exotics, stick around until the end of the weekend?
It's frustrating for me because I only needed one more strange coin to purchase some gear I really needed.
Is this Xurs usual pattern or was it just this weekend (I know there was an issue that he didn't have weapons for sale)?
Also, is there any chance of Bungie tweaking his schedule so us Sabbath observers can have him around as much as others do?

He had trash stuff anyway.
-
Well, you said friday sundown yea? You have friday morning, and he doesnt go away until sunday 5am eastern.
-
I don't think it was designed intentionally to screw you over, but I've always felt that him staying on Sunday would be nice.

It's amazing how quick the atheists come out to attack when religion is talked about. My apologies to you, good people, for caring so much about others beliefs. I bet all your scientific discoveries come in handy when you have judge individuals for what they do with their time. Come back to me when you've become as advanced as the vex...

Edited by Zoop: 7/20/2015 2:36:01 PMI understand your situation, but seriously, its just a game. Im sure you are missing out of other non-game related things during the sabbath as wel. Game developers really cant (not should) care about all different religions, events and whatnot. Sucks to be you, but you really should have been better prepared if you want the gear that bad.

4 RepliesWasn't the Sabbath on Sunday, or am I mistaken?

3 RepliesLiterally no one I know gives two shits when xur comes. Bungie isn't going to cater to the .01% who complain about not being able to buy stuff from xur because of the "sabbath" (which is just Sunday by the way).
-
Can you not purchase the fear after sundown on Saturday?
-
If they did it with the intention of doing that then that's a different story.
-
Wow. What a bunch of asshats! The best bet would be to plan ahead so you can make any purchases after sundown on Saturday.
-
So bungie should completely change this characters routine to cater to some whim?
-
Why don't you just wake up early Friday and buy what you want? You need to have a stockpile of coins, not grind for the last one at the last minute or else you're at xur's mercy.
-
It's just another way to pull youths attention away from churches.
-
Arrives Friday at 4am CST leaves Sunday 4am CST Always has.
-
Let's put it this way, if you observe a "sabbath" you were lied to as a child.
-
Just get on early Friday.
-
No. /thread.

Summer noob

How late is sundown?
-
Well if you know you won't be able to get to him later in the weekend then prepare for earlier Friday. Bungie won't change Xur's schedule for a minority religion, sorry that's just the way it is.
-
1 ReplyI think you might want to reconsider how closely you follow old law, however Xur for me shows up at 5 am on Friday so you'd have between 5am and sunset so it's at LEAST 12 hours.
-
Maybe Xur went to church to pray forgiveness for forgetting the weapon.

Xur doesn't believe in religion soo stfu
