Xur surprised me today - i did not know he leaves so early on Sundays and was working for that last coin to buy some legendary gear (it was my first time buying from him today).
I observe the Sabbath from sundown Friday until one hour after sundown on Saturday.
For 25 hours I cannot use electronics or work.
As a Destiny fan who is finally at the level where I can start buying from Xur, I was disappointed to find that he disappeared early on Sunday.
Why can't this vendor, who is the main source of exotics, stick around until the end of the weekend?
It's frustrating for me because I only needed one more strange coin to purchase some gear I really needed.
Is this Xurs usual pattern or was it just this weekend (I know there was an issue that he didn't have weapons for sale)?
Also, is there any chance of Bungie tweaking his schedule so us Sabbath observers can have him around as much as others do?

Friday and Saturday are Xurs trips to the Tower and Reef.
-
His timing is the same as always, if you have the destiny timer app you can see when he arrives and when he departs. With your schedule my advice is to log in Friday morning to buy.
who is the main source of exotics
no, he's not

13 RepliesHonestly I don't think God really gives a f**k if you log onto Destiny to get something from Xur on Saturday. (Adventist by chance?)

7 Repliesnot sure how you specifically observe Shabbat but man was not made for the Shabbat, Shabbat was made for the rest of God and man. In the same way Jesus responded to persecution for healing on the Shabbat. I rationalize that as simple taking a day to rest and "start" the new week. in that way i rest on sundays instead of saturday. also ignore the lames with nothing but hatred for your faith.

5 RepliesYour account was online and playing during those 25 hours
we can check your recent games on the app
Friday morning

This has been Xur's pattern since the game launched. I also think Xur should stick around a few more hours on Sunday.
-
You can just buy from him Friday or saturday
-
This xur's normal pattern. So plan ahead and see him on early Friday or after sundown on Saturday. Ignore the haters who don't believe in personal freedom or free choice. You need to believe in what's work for you.

Oh, here we go again

Yes, it's all about you.

HOLY SHIT! Really? It is 48 hours based on GMT. That's it. Does Bungie need to have special hours for every single religious event?
-
YES BECAUSE BUNGIE HATES JEWS!!!

Edited by GongShowDad: 7/20/2015 2:03:10 PMDoes it prejudice over "sabbath" observers? Yes, because the first thing they thought of when they were discussing when xur should appear is "when can he interfere with those sabbath observers?" Get your head out of your ass kid

12 RepliesNo one gives a flying f.uck about your religious problem. It baffles me that in 2015 there are still people like you existing. I guess it's time to become an adult and make a decision, do you want to play on the weekends or do you want to keep believing angels are real and let ridiculous beliefs control your life. If it's the latter, then tough shit, you're going to miss Xur.

Your God won't hate you for playing video games. Nor eating bacon. Enjoy the good things.
-
Xur is around for 48 hours, so you have 23 other hours to buy your goods.

Because not the entire world revolves around you and your beliefs. If you want to put effort into your religion thats all fine and dandy but dont expect a company to tweak their normal scedules to fit your sabbath time table. Quite frankly you are being very self centred and egocentric.
