Yes, you people quitting because of weapons are clowns. You're unaware of how MMO type games work. You will grind for even better weapons in 2.0. They don't give the best weapons in the first year and call it a day; there will be more. Those new weapons will be obsolete at some point and others will come out, enjoy the ride.
Edit: The whole clown thing... I have a really good friend who quit this game because he didn't get a Ghorn yet. Guess what? I called him a clown as well ;)

1 ReplyWe don't care about the new weapons, you clown. That's why we're quitting.
-
2 RepliesExcept you never played an mmo. Most mmo don't make old gear useless. You can still use it and won't feel handicapped. Take runescape fkt instance when they release a new tier 9 weapon it doesn't make the other tier 9 useless.
-
1 ReplyWell, this game isn't an MMO, and based on Bungie's prior failures to created weapons that are either good but balanced or weapons that are good and are balanced but instead are nerfed to shit, we aren't clowns.
-
1 ReplySalty clowns
-
Please don't tell them this. Let the cry babies quit, it will only better the game for us all.

7 RepliesEdited by lomna17: 8/4/2015 9:59:11 PMI'm not quitting because of weapons. I'm quitting because the launch of this game, the dark below and house of wolves were ultimate failures. Also, the new suros Weapons (or hakke I forget) look like they were made out of plastic with no detail or design
-
What a lame insult

They look shit.
-
If they are anything like HOW weapons.....the taken king will be the final chapter of destiny for me(pve at least). If they make future pvp content able to be purchased separate from the new pve content, I might buy those though.
-
2 RepliesHa you still think destiny is an mmo
-
This shitty game is not an mmo you can only play with 3 people and you barely have contact with anyone outside of your fireteam.
-
Shit I can't wait. I haven't got a ghorn yet either and yeah I'm pissed lol 900 hours and no ghorn. But o well. New stuff will come and old will go. I may never see a ghorn in my inventory and I'm ok with that lol
-
This is exactly what bungie wants they're trying to push current players away from the game they don't care and it will backfire! They want new players and there has been loads of horrible decisions by bungie lately. 1) Locking people out of content they bought in how. 2) Catering to pvp more and more 3) £40 for dlc... throw money at the screen 4) Now making all of our weapons useless Rip destiny it was fun for a while especially vault of glass.

3 RepliesI wouldn't go so far as to say your point was validated, as you put it hahaha, like your confidence though lol. I think that they may indeed have mistakenly released some of the best weapons you'll see for quite some time in the first year. Neither of us have a list of TTK guns so we're both speculating. I'm a clown that's leaving. Not because i think it's going to be bad, i just got burned out on destiny. And yes, i have ghorn and all the exotics except maybe 2. To each his own. I'm hoping that ttk is amazing. That way i know that if i want to jump back in, say a year down the road when destiny 2 comes out, there's a great chance it will be a near perfect game upon release.

You are making the assumption that Destiny will follow in the footsteps of other successful MMOs, successfully. The new guns could suck. Brands could be gimmicks for all we know. Bungie has rarely delivered on anything they've ever promised in terms of quality, so all the new guns could suck. Or there could be a ton like people are preaching, yet only a couple are really good just like now. The fact that the armory is supposedly the biggest it's ever been means little to nothing. It's like how now there's tons of blue armor that no one uses.. quantity =/= quality.

10 RepliesWell considering how much the HoW weapons sucked ass, I'm not really swayed by your post.

6 RepliesEdited by Vercingetorix07: 7/21/2015 9:11:27 PMLosing 2000+ hours of hard work in a single patch is what has driven me from the game. I've been around the forums keeping tabs on the sinking ship, S.S. Bungie and I can see terrible choices being made left and right with no regard to the player base. I'm glad I left. - Bungievision is too cheap to buy additional server space for larger vaults, so they nerf the good guns to make players trash them for additional space. In turn, players are forced to use crap weapons and perks compared to Year 1 loot. - Nerfing Gjallarhorn will only make it MORE of a requirement. No longer will teams carry a few non- Gjallarhorn users in their group. All will be required to use it in order to make up the increased damage deficit. - HoW content was terribly executed. Half of the content was barred off from the PvE player base. The other half had bugged rewards and trash weapons compared to the Osiris gear. Bungie catered only to one minor group of players... PvE is the actual game - PvP is merely side content. The DLC content should reflect this. - Both DLC gear sets were trash compared to the vanilla gear. VoG remains the strongest PvE gear in the game. It's pathetic - the only powerful DLC gun was Black Hammer and it's being ruined in the next patch. - Exotics should have been skill-based, only being rewarded after completing a series of challenges. Xur never should have been added to the game - it's been a huge source of scrutiny with the game. Exotic armor and weapon bounties were the way to go. Getting bounties after finishing certain conditions, like a flawless raid or nightfall... - Current Boss Design is terrible. Nothing but sponges everywhere. Weapons like Gjallarhorn should never directly interact with the boss' health bar. Completing objectives to damage the boss is far more effective in balancing boss encounters. A weapon like Gjallarhorn is nice to have, but will not necessarily help kill the boss any quicker since shooting the boss directly is not how you would kill it. There's so many more problems, but I won't waste my time listing them - they're listed all over the forums. This is my final post on the forums. To those who will leave, you will not regret your decision - trust me. To those who would stay, I only hope that TTK's disaster will be a wake-up call for you.

It's about not giving bungie another penny.

1 ReplyIt's not about the weapons for me, it's about the content. I guess I've been spoiled by real mmos.
