So last night I found someone pretty rare I think
Well last night my friend and I wanted to do a 34 Poe before the reset so we posted and we found someone. The game changed dramatically... My friend and i are both 34s and he was a 33. We didn't mind we've carried people before so we like a little challenge (not that it ever is). We were in fact carried by this new guardian we had found. He had never finished a 34 Poe coz people would always kick him for not being a 34!! He did much better than we had thought he could have done. We then asked why he was using an average scout rifle and not a fang or vision. His response shocked us. He had never done a raid!! We asked why and he said he would always get kicked because he hasn't done it before.. I slightly cried a little and then we made him join our clan and did raids with him. Sadly didn't get him a fatebringer but he was more than ecstatic when he got his black hammer :)!
I Just hate how this community puts people down and doesn't give people chances. He is possibly in the top 10 players I've met and now he is a friend im going to help through all raids and Poes he needs!!!
Edit: I can't believe how many people actually agree!! I honestly thought I would have been hit with all negative comments but I gladly want to play the game more and more wth you great guardians. I ask we just help those who aren't given a chance :) keep up the loving

7 RepliesRight on good for u...my wife and I play a lot sadly it's hard to get raid groups but we manage by the forums ...got into a couple of raids she got her black hammer and word of crota..it's always good to find good people

Exactly man! I run a tutor service and it's phenomenal the amount of people who get kicked for not being level 30+ on VOG normal, or not having gjallarhorn, or whatever. Seriously this community and it's elitists.

7 RepliesWhat a great tale. I myself haven't done a raid or trials or anything higher than 28 poe. I try nightfall myself and was successful this week but usually fail.

Damn, I feel bad, I just found the right people I guess people like you who help, now I help people to a point, unless we are going at VoG hard conflux checkpoint for two hours I usually stay and help

I honestly think too many quit before they even try. Be vocal, be honest and be cool and you too can find a regular group. But ya gotta try.... a little.

I was once like this never done raids or poe 32,34. Laughed out of games, untill till i joined a clan. Now ive done vog and a few times and poe to assend my characters. When im in raids and cant get a full clan team i invite randoms with no headset just to bump the numbers and help them out at the same time 👍

10 RepliesI've gone into the weekly heroic a few times as a level 24/25 to get matched with players around that level. Switched back to my 34 gear then helped them through it. It gives you a much better feeling when that boss crumbles into a pile of ashes

Them feels. I love comming across players that havnt done the raids I get to teach them how to do it even give them a chance at holding the relic or sword if the whole fireteams friendly enough to let them try once or twice. We need more players like you guys in this game

3 RepliesI have seriously never seen anyone get kicked from a raid team full of randoms. Even had a couple of level 30 and 31 with rare weapons in vog teams.

I recently posted on the forums to do Skolas. We got to the end of round 4 and one of the guys had to go. The fireteam leader posted on the forums. He then apologised that I didnt have a Gjallarhorn before kicking me from the party. Wouldn't have minded but I can very rarely do any end game activity due to a lack of matchmaking, work and family commitments.

19 RepliesTotally agree! I can only raid with my kids and their friends. I am 64 and get kicked for being too old. Have tried 3 times to join in a raid and was booted by younger kids who did not want an old fuddy-duddy in their fireteam. If we did not require microphones, then I might get away with it. I admit, sometimes it's my fault. I tend to socialize and chat while waiting in orbit or waiting while someone rushes to the bathroom or to get refreshments. Others dance, and I would walk up and chat. Now, I prefer to shut up when grouped with strangers in strikes or raids. Don't get me wrong, I love Destiny, but I am absolutely rubbish in PvP and therefore impossible to complete the Triumphs even though I am a day-one and beta player.

That's destinys big issue, a lot of people can't do raids and poe due to a lot of elitist idiots. I'm taking a long break from destiny because it got very boring waiting for people to raid with. I'm very experienced and seriously believe the game should have an in game lfg board. You should should never have to go to a 3rd party site to get a team.
