Everything the Titan had going for it, and everything it has, is gone; given to the Hunter and the Warlock, with nothing given back to the Titan as part of this lop-sided exchange.
We had the best Armor stat in the game, until the design team decided to give it to the Warlock in the form of The Ram.
We had one of the best Exotics in the game, one that gave us an additional grenade. Apparently, that was too good to be true, because the Sunsinger gets an additional grenade as well, without the need to equip an Exotic. The soon-to-be Hunter sub-class, Nightstalker, also has a perk that grants an additional grenade.
Damage resistance was ours, I thought, we're Titans, we can take whatever punishment our enemies have to offer. Well, so can the Bladedancers, the Sunsingers, and the Voidwalkers. We aren't special in that regard, either.
The Defender melee grants us a shield if we get a kill with it, perhaps that's something we can call our own. No, it isn't; Sunsingers can conjure themselves an over-shield just for hitting someone with Scorch, and theirs has range that is far superior.
The Striker melee was never anything special, however, its redeeming quality is that it charges Fist of Havoc whenever you kill an enemy with it. I thought that was special, but it isn't; the coming Warlock sub-class Stormcaller has an ability that does that and more: it charges your grenade, your next melee, and it even charges your Super just for hitting an enemy with it.
The pattern here is that the abilities the Titan has exist on the other classes as well, yet those classes have better versions of such abilities.
Flame Shield is Disintegrate without the need to kill; simply striking an enemy with Scorch will provide an over-shield.
The Stormcaller's melee is Storm Fist without the need to kill; simply striking an enemy with it will charge not only your next melee, but your grenade and Super.
Gift of the Sun is the Sunsinger's very own Armamentarium, without the need to equip an Exotic.
The Ram allows Warlock Armor to surpass that of the Titan's, and grants Voidwalkers health regeneration with each melee, regardless of whether Energy Drain is charged or not.
The Titan's abilities are all out-performed by the other classes' related counterparts.
Why is this, Bungie?
Well, Guardians, here you have it: the nail in the Titan's coffin.
Everything we do is officially done better by the other classes.
Here is the new Hunter sub-class, granting the same bonuses as Weapons of Light and Blessing of Light in one.
Gloamranger:
Unite your allies! Reduces incoming damage and buffs outgoing damage for your tethered teammates.
I should add this, a perk on the upcoming Stormcaller Warlock sub-class; it is a perk that might seem familiar to Titans.
Uninsulated: Incoming melee attacks shock the attacker.
Warlocks can now enjoy the benefit of wearing the ACD/0 Feedback Fences without the need to wear them.
Stormcallers will also get access to an area of effect explosion which resembles Fist of Havoc through the perk Landfall.
I'm also going to add something that Red_king5000 pointed out: the Stormcaller will have access to Lightning grenades - undoubtedly the best grenade the Striker had access to - and we have been given nothing in return.
Why is it that Warlocks can utilize Lightning grenades, but Titans can't utilize bolt-type grenades, like Firebolt and Arcbolt?
The bolt-type grenade is unquestionably the most effective grenade type in Crucible, and yet the Titan does not have access to a single one.
Where's the balance there?

1 ReplyTitans in general need to be looked at again. And not just add another exotic, I'm talking full character rework. The higher armor isn't noticeable in crucible especially with instant kill weapons like shot package shotguns, the last word and thorn. Which basically defeats the purpose of a titan if it's as squishy as the competitors. Combine that with their lack of tools for crucible, and Titans are easily the weakest in PVP. Hunters and warlocks are squishy, but they have tools to help them kill opponents more quickly as the trade off. We should be able to take the damage and turn the tables if we are skilled enough. Some people post videos on how to use Titans, yet I see them fighting people less than lvl 20....

1 ReplyI think I commented on this post already but warlocks are not only getting Lightning Grenades (which is beyond ridiculous, give them something from the hunter. don't take both of the striker titan grenades) but now they've claimed another of our exotics for themselves as well, the ACD/0 feedback fence. The stormcaller has some sort of perk (the name escapes me) that does what the Feedbacks do. When they take melee, they release a discharge to strike the opponent back. And as a bonus middle finger to anyone caught in a fist fight with them, the stormcaller has a perk that increases the range of its melee further than it already is. Not to mention the hunters have this new smoke bomb instead of a melee. Where's the titan ranged melee option? Oh, nowhere to be seen along with that sweet blink skill we'll never get? Oh, ok. GG Bungie. Like, seriously now? All that titans are left with now are the suppressor grenade, the bubble, and the shoulder charge. We don't even have fist of havoc to ourselves anymore given that the warlocks now gain a pseudo-FoH whenever they activate their super in the air. And even the hunters are getting in on the "dick titans over" train as they also have the ability to gain a second grenade and have taken both blessing and weapons of light into one perk. You may wanna update your OP for all of this other information.

4 RepliesI would love to see you kill crota with no bubble titans

2 RepliesAnd from a hunters stand point our throwing knife doesnt one hit ko neather does a normal knife or even blink strike. Blinking only serves a purpose in pvp and our armor is garbage.

5 RepliesEdited by DannyLux123: 6/23/2015 1:15:03 AMBeta /day 1 Titan main. Take a licking and keep on ticking. Striker/defender doesn't matter. I'm an unkillable machine of death sent to the prison of elders to vanquish any who dare oppose. My fist of havoc rains from high above. My bubble saves lives and gives me entire team a dps buff while at the same time blinding any all enemies foolish enough to step through. I can carry two grenades so strong they can actually kill me if not placed properly. You need me to beat skolas, you needed me to beat crota. And you will continue to need me long after we have destroyed crotas daddy. I am Titan. You are dead.

1 ReplyYou and MysticalSnurtle are the heros that Titans deserve/need. Its time Bungie stopped favoring the other two and neglecting us. These threads are very useful in showing them just how bad we have it. And with that, i say
bump!
9 RepliesEdited by McAttack: 6/18/2015 4:20:54 PMMy Titan laughs at your inadequacy's. My Titan shuts down golden guns, sunsingers and many more with a tap of the R1. My Titan charges and destroys any squishy hunter that gets too close. My Titan denies key areas with powerful grenades. My Titan takes and owns control points. My Titan gives endless orbs to my team. My Titan slams through other -blam!-in TITANS. You sir are a disgrace to Titans everywhere.

I think that with only 3 classes you can't have one above the other in that regard. At least in PVP.

we are out classed, but titan is still the only way to go

5 Repliesif youre a titan, switch your stat perks until you have more emotional armor. titans dont cry, we crush

27 RepliesEdited by UGKxRelease: 7/21/2015 7:56:51 PMYou forgot that Titans have the most op pvp super, the Titan smash which is practically impossible to kill. Not to mention the also op infinite one hit shoulder charge, barrier melee and those lightning grenades. Along with that, the Titan bubble. It is by far one of the most useful supers in pve which is also exceptionally good in pvp. Also the titan is one of the 2 classes that has an exotic arm piece that respawns to melee attacks. Where's that warlock's "don't touch me" or their "feedback" gauntlets. And yes the two other classes have two grenades solely because of how op the Titans grenades are. You should complain about how one class does not have what another class does have because they are made to be different
