Should i switch to PlayStation?
Alright guardians I have a question for you! Should I make the switch? I have every exotic except for armors and that damn Pocket Infinity so if I switched to PS I would lose my progress. I would have to learn a whole new console and controller and loose some friends. From the looks of it a lot of video games are switching to PlayStation. Is it worth? Keep in mind I am a 15 year old who mows lawns for 25 bucks a week so I’m not rich. Also don't just say switch because you're a die hard PlayStation fan or the same for Xbox please give me a legitimate reason why I should stay or leave. Please bump so I can get more feedback and some other guardians wondering if they should make the decision or not can see this!

[u][b]EDIT #2[/b][/u]: Keep in mind I'm not doing this just because of destiny (but primarily this destiny) there’s other games that have switched. But with widows 10 being released and that new Xbox one and computer integration it will be sick! Don't even forget the new controller (I bet scuff isn’t too happy) so I just want some other reasons to switch.
[u][b]EDIT #3[/b][/u]: I wouldn’t want to buy a PlayStation and keep my Xbox because I will soon be getting my permit then my license and I want to save up for a car.

I personally play destiny on the Xbox for one reason, because I have friends on there. I have been playing Xbox since Halo CE was new. Over the years I have developed relationships with alot of these people and would not trade my Xbox friends for a single game. This being said, what I fear is that the new destiny game that is releasing later will be exclusively for PS4, seeing as there is no inkling of the Xbox being involved. Thus, my days of playing destiny will probably come to an end.

Who switches for one game bro? That's dumb. If your friends are on Xbox stay on Xbox. If they are on ps4 make that leap.

I've had both, and enjoy Playstation a lot more. Don't just consider switching for 1 game. Think about the long run, and other factors as well. Consider friends, service, product quality, incentives, etc.

They only get one exclusive gun with an ugly ass set of armor and probably a tedious strike with countless enemies and some bootlegged boss probably three thrall or something lol and if you stay on xbox, its not worth spending 400 dollars for an exotic scout rifle where if you wait hawkawesome 4th horsemen and monte carlo will arrive with the dlc and the three exclusive strikes and the exclusive crucible maps

If that's not an option, then play destiny until you feel done with it and then buy a Playstation. I don't see a lot of reasons to get an Xbone over a PS4 other than to keep Xbox progress, but if you plan on playing Destiny until Destiny 2 and want to sell your 360, Xbone is your only choice. And of course, more than any of that, don't pick a console that you don't have friends on.

If you have the money, keep both, if not, stay on xbox. There is no reason why you should buy another console just for a couple exclusives unless you have a big pile of cash to sit on.

The exclusives aren't worth buying an entire console. Who knows, Destiny may crash and burn in the coming years and you'll be stuck with a gaystation.

1 ReplyDon't think I will ever switch to playstation and it's mainly because the controller (I know it's a lame reason and I would likely get used to the cabriolet rather quickly), and my friends that I play with are on xbox. A few exclusive items in a game are not with a console switch. A great game that is exclusive to PS, maybe. I'd much rather be gaming on a PC, but the amount if cheating in first person shooters is unbearable and I can't seem to get my friends into playing an mmo like WoW, SWTOR, etc. If there's a game you really can't live without that's exclusive to playstation, by all means make the switch or get both consoles, but dealing with RNG again in destiny is crazy.

1 ReplyKeep in mind that your spending over 600 dollars if you're going to do the following - buying a ps4 (obviously) -Buying a membership (assuming you're buying a 3 month or maybe more) -buying destiny again, plus the expansion pack -buying the taken king That right there is a total of 610 dollars. That's a big hunk of cash, plus it would be even more if you bought a longer membership. Plus tax, and I'm not gonna even get into that.

I was on xbox 360 and switched to PS4 for this generation mainly on the basis of exclusive content for Destiny and xbones shitty launch - For my trouble I got access to some guns which I don't use and a couple of strikes which I avoid. PS4 isn't a bad console, but it isn't awesome. And the Dualshocks are average at best. If I had the money I would have an xbox as well. Were I in your situation, I would stay on the xbox. Nothing you miss out on is gonna be that important.
