What you would you think if Gjallarhorn was nerfed?
Only reason people want this weapon is because it is OP as hell. To create less demand, make it worse. 👌
Gjallarhorn being as good as it is now makes all other heavy weapons obsolete. (sometimes even on activities with different burn modifiers)
⭐Bungie has already said one weapon should not be the answer for everything.

And it's not the only thing you need. I used Hunger to run through nightfalls solo. It's just a nice tool to have.

Bungie has said one weapon shouldn't be the answer? Well then they are quite contradicting of themselves with all their weapon patches.. Their is no balance. PvP is nothing but handcannon and pulse rifles.. Because Bungie has made it so.

Even though I don't have a Gjallarhorn, I still don't think it should be nerfed.

2 RepliesDon't nerf it. Just give the truth a second explosion like titan magnetic grenades. And give the DB solar flare a massive burn effect for enemies that get hit with it, even when they walk out.

OR. We could all petition for them to buff truth and dragons breath. I played since week 2 and just got mine from the nightfall. If it gets nerfed oh well. But i say why ruin one when you can make the other two useful. DB is a flat out joke. "But it can out dps ghorn!!" Yea, but what enemy is dumb enough to stay in a solar flare? Give it tracking, make the flare sticky, or slow movement speed in the flare. Truth is good but the blast radius is so big it isn't that great for strictly DPS. Cluster bombs or just an increase to impact (or damage? Idk how rocket damage is calculated lol) should bring it up to par. Ghorn is a funny one. Nerfing it would definitely result in the exodus of a large amount of players. It is their pve crutch. But it [i]is[/i] op. No one says a word about it when they have it, because they don't want their bread and butter taken away. People who went without it for a while/ people who don't have it aren't as dumb though. Ghorn is a requirement for current endgame content while not being an actual requirement. We all remember the crota posts, "must have ghorn." Same with high level PoE. Any given lfg post says the same "must have ghorn." If we continue in this manner, ghorn will get hit hard eventually. I say keep it exotic and leave it as is, but just make the other "exotic" launchers worth using. The "must have ghorn" posts will disappear in no time.

I use gjallarhorn in raids and poe when it's necessary. I never use it at all in pvp (I'll take my BTRD tyvm) Mostly use exotic primaries. Sometimes a special (Queenbreakers' Bow is fun as hell)

There's no piece of content in Destiny that I haven't completed at least one time without anyone using gally. Even Skolas with solar burn, we used black hammers and ice breakers and still burned him down. Gally is overpowered and does take the challenge out of many encounters but I prefer to enjoy the game in other ways too. That is to say, if you think gally is OP (and it is), you don't have to use it to have fun.

If I want to use one or two different guns more than others so be it.

I've played 2000 hours never getting the drop and all I do now is crucible and that's getting old. Wouldn't matter at this point what happens since I'm drifting away from Destiny.
