Just started a warlock, just wanted to know which one to level first. Please leave some tips and opinions! Thank you.
Edit: So many opinions! Thanks to everyone who replied. I chose to use void for pvp and switch to Sunsinger when I turn in bounties so I could level them both at a decent pace.

Sunsinger is good for both crucible and PvE if you know how to use it
-
1 ReplyDepends. If you're playing 3v3, in the current meta the sun singer is arguably one of the best subclasses in the game, right up there with the blade dancer. Those firebolts with the burn on them can instantly take an opponent out of the fight since they have to either go eat the burn or stand and fight knowing if they get hit once with just about anything, they'll be dead instantly. There's a reason why there are so many sun singers in the trials and it's mainly the grenades and self rez capabilities. in 6v6 I go with the void walker. More fun and better multikills with well placed supers.

Suns ingre is easier to use. But voidwalker is more rewarding and way more fun

Depends on your play type personally PVE:Sunsinger for sure Serious PVP: Sunsinger (sometimes void walker) Fun w/ friends: Voidwalker definitely
-
Weekly/nightfall/raid: sun PvE: void Crucible: varies ToO: sun

Level Void first but both are really good

6v6 - void 3v3 - sun PvE - sun
-
Voidwalker if your mainly PVP Sunsinger if your mainly PVE

Stormcaller

Voidwalker is the superior class imo. If sunsinger didn't have self rez then it'd be near useless in comparison.
-
Pve: sunsinger with heart of praxic fire and g-horn Pvp: voidwalker with voidfang vestments and thorn
-
People rely on the sunsinger because of its self rez. Self Rez is good for both pvp and pve
-
Void walker because of the super spam with juju and the mind, set soul rip and grenades trigger energy drain, become a pve god and nova bomb shatter every 5-10 seconds lol

I'm a fan of Sunsinger because I'm a self rezing noob, feels like a good safty net in PVE. It makes everything easier when you can just self rez and turn into bomber man. In PVP I never mastered Voidwalker blink because I found the animation Jarring and it disorinted me when I tried to use it. maybe it has been tweaked? No doubt it is amazing when used properly. But luckily Sunsinger Melee allows you to win all fist fights in PVP and get all the postmortem metals.

Sunsinger for end game Void walker for pvp
-
Honestly, the only reason that I use Sunsinger is because of Self Rez, fusion grenades, and scorch over shield. If it wasn't for that then I'd use Void walker every day

I enjoy voidwalker more but sunsinger is more practical in high level pve content like raids

50 RepliesKinda hard. Sunsinger. +Extremely powerfull up close. Has the best grenade (firebolt with full burn) +Ridiculously powerfull with the ram. -No. Blink. Slow as -blam!-. Voidwalker. +blink -awfull grenades -awfull super. Animation is waaay too slow. It needs to be buffed(or maybe an exotic that makes the animation super fast?)Any idiot can dodge it because of it. Sunsinger all the way when you play sweaties.

I prefer using my voidwalker for PvP or patrolling. I use Sunsinger when I want to have a backup with self-res or play defensive PvP like Trials.
