And after the how dlc it seems like they don't drop many green weapon engrams anymore to dismantle
-
1 ReplyAs a day 1 person I don't see it as a problem, but now that I think about it... Yeah makes sense
-
Started the dlc with over 1000, down to 50ish. Gunsmith needs to offer class armor items for weapon parts exchange. They've got every other exchange in the game, just give us one more.

Step 1: the dark beyond Step 2: bad juju Step 3: "accidental" suicide Step 4: ??? Step 5: profit

Buy green weapons

-
Just spam strikes
-
I have 3,270 and it's from the usual stuff. Strikes, patrol, raid and such. Buy some green weapons off of the cryptarch. You get weapon parts for breaking them down and you get cryptarch faction.
-
Not trying to troll, but strikes and patrol net me hundreds of parts in a few hours. I've been reforging everything I get, between 3 characters I have a lot. Run those trikes man and dismantle everything, pick up green, blue whatever you can.

2800+..play more strikes

3 RepliesIt's called a re rolling addiction, and it's similar to any other gambling addiction. Seek help my friend, you can get through this.

1600+ Weapon Parts. I'm not starving. My weapons are well fed. :D
-
Spend an evening each week on dragon strikes, I find it helps from running out.
-
I'm not knocking this post but I can't figure out how people are running out of weapon parts? I think a healthy alternative to having an npc sell weapon parts is to just increase the drop rate of green engrams.

1 ReplyI'm a day one player and I've been trying to figure out why I ran out of weapon parts. I figured it out: Before TDB dropped, the Vanguard had good weapons that I really wanted, so I grinded my butt off in the strike playlist and accumulated a bunch of weapon parts. I was also regularly doing the daily heroic for ascendant mats, meaning I was wracking up a lot of engrams and trash greens. Then, TDB dropped. Almost every single Vanguard vendor item is terribad, so I stopped grinding the strike playlist. I hit lvl 32 with Crota gear and stop running the daily heroics because I needed radiant mats, not ascendant. I start spending more time in the Crucible because Crucible gear was superior to Vanguard gear and I needed something to keep me entertained after 6 months with no new content. Up until recently, the Crucible was a terrible place for rewards (still kinda is, even with legendaries popping up left and right). Where I used to get a steady supply of trash weapons, now I'm getting none. Slowly but surely, my huge stash of weapon parts starts dwindling. HoW drops and I blow through what remains almost instantly by ascending exotic weapons. I don't even have a reroll addiction, mostly because I can't afford one. Now I've come full circle and am forced to grind the strike playlist all over again, not for marks to buy gear, but for weapon parts.

I got 21. I cry.

4000+ weapon parts grind some strikes you lazy ass everyone from day 1 grinder like crazy they took most of that shit out now you bitch because your to lazy to farm engrams for weapon parts. Just stop playing now if your gonna complain about something so easy to get.
-
5 RepliesI have 2000, don't know how you could possibly be running out of Weapon Parts. Obviously not doing something right.
-
There is something called strikes. Get to farming guardian.
-
Bungie making weapon parts available for purchase isn't going to cure your re-rolling addiction. You need help. Go to rehab.
-
The gunsmith already sells weapons parts.
-
Adding the ability to buy them with crucible or vanguard marks seems reasonable. I don't see how you are running out, but they added the ability to buy crafting relic iron and that stuff. Don't see why they can't add weapon parts. You earn your marks, might as well be able to buy something useful with them.
-
I literally don't understand how people are running out of weapon parts...I reforge a shit ton, ran out of a lot of things, including motes, but I still have weapon parts up the wazoo.
-
I have like 1800.... And I'm a reforgaholic. Strikes man... Strikes.

1 ReplyLol no one complained until we got reforging. Wow people just want everything handed to them. Do some strikes and dismantle the guns you get
