It's crazy to see such a elitist attitude towards the lighthouse. They don't want people that paid just as much for this game as they did to not be able to fully experience the content the game has the offer. As a guy who really only cares about PvE how is there not way for people that just strictly raid to be able to reach the lighthouse? PvPers have it great, they can get PvP gear and still go raid. I go in with my gear in ToO and I get stomped by someone with thorn. Oh but you guys insist that it's all about skill right? Ok. You're the same people saying I 'earned my gjallahorn' when all you did was get it from a random drop. You didn't earn it, you got lucky.
In the end if you want to put some exclusive area for people that PvP put a exclusive area for people that raid. Oh but wait, you can just come in with your PvP gear and still do it. Good logic is good.
EDIT I forgot mostly kids play this game so I should probably just highlight my point instead of having you actually read. If you want to have a special area for people that PvP fine I could care less, but don't put it in a unreleased planet when people that PvE get sent to the basement of PoE. That's just insulting.

What do you consider the treasure room at the end of PoE then?
-
It's not exclusive. You can practice and get there just like anyone else. It requires a certain level of performance, just like the level 35 PoE treasure room requires a certain level of success. I'm sure there are many players who can't complete that either. Does that mean bungie should just hand out element damage primary weapons to everyone? I don't think so. Think I'm a PvP elitist? Check my K/D. I'm never going to see the lighthouse, and I'm cool with that. PvP ain't my bag. I can get stuff that's just as good in PoE. Can the PvPers get the level 35 PoE gear as well? Probably. If they're good enough to go flawless in ToO, there certainly good enough to beat a mediocre AI. You bought the game. If you want to see all of it, you have to play all of it. Simple as that.

Trials needs a ranking system and matchmaking so it would be an even and competative playing field for everyone, the way it is right now makes it much easier for the pvp/ hardcore players and alienates the casual/pve players. Put a rank by peoples gamertag and people can still show off and have their inflated ego. (Also I dont really pvp so I dont have crucible loaouts or 9 months of practice) PoE takes too long for most casual players. I played 34 PoE with a 34 and two 33s last night for two hours and ended up having to turn it off and go to bed during round five. Raids have cps so you can pick it back up the next day. I dont have the time to run it in one sitting with one character let alone three. It would be nice if you could have checkpoints only if you have the exact same fireteam. Im not complaining or saying its too hard. Im just making a few suggestions that would help keep people playing.

Edited by JupitersHold: 5/28/2015 3:08:45 PMPVERS YOUR LOGIC IS FLAWED You complain about not having access to the lighthouse yet you don't try to win "I payed for content" But did you pay to win? No "I don't have friends that are good or aren't on at the same time" Go on LFG "I don't want to use LFG why doesn't bungie have a matchmaking system" Because trials of osiris is for COMPETITIVE PLAYERS who want cool endgame gear and communication is the key to win "Why don't they have a PVE social space" Because some snowflakes will complain about how it's not special and that everyone has access to it. So either way no one will be satisfied so get your scrubby ašs in skirmish and practice for ToO

2 RepliesYour logic is flawed by the same logic used in this post. If you aren't good enough then that's that. Just like those people who don't have 5 others to raid with....they are locked out of content they paid for right? I paid for my driving licence and learnt how to drive, yet I don't own a Ferrari.... How weird!
-
You have access to it you just have to complete certain tasks first, same as it is in pve it is just harder sometimes competing against other players rather than AI. I mean if they are going to allow someone who plays just pve to get access to everything pvp then the opposite will have to be done. So if you play enough crucible you'll be able to access Crota's lair and get the loot from killing him without having to kill him is basically what you are asking for.

7 RepliesAnyone can pve Only the best can pvp

PvP does require some skill to play good, you can't go using CoD tactics and expect to win or just randomly run around the map. There are tactics dependant on your class and weapons that are better than others, it's all trial and error to be honest so just practice :)

git gud level 33 scrub

4 RepliesHuh? all you do is PvE and you want to go to a PvP area? Isn't that just the same as people who only PvP who never get to see PoE or any raid? Aren't they locked out of the rewards chest room or raid gear/weapons? I don't understand your logic here. All you do is make the exact opposite statements as the PvPers. If you don't like the way they think or feel why should anyone like the way you feel? Where is the balance? Should people who only PvP get to go to the PoE treasure chest?
-
1 ReplyYou are the type of person that wants participation trophies for every kid... They mopped the floor with me in ToO but I am working harder to find better teammates and practicing skirmish (I play control mostly).
-
The best thing is: They want the Lighthouse for themselves to brag about it...and on the other hand they're carrying their lowbird friends through so that they get the loot and brag about it too.
-
4 RepliesWhat mainly bothers me is the fact that we can't get new elemental weapons, yet the PvP players (which has no effect in PVP) get them.
-
If you bought HoW you have access to the lighthouse. Nobody is stopping from going 9-0.
-
Just buy the buffs and then all you have to do is go 7-1. -blam!-ing easy
-
2 RepliesEdited by Zombifikation: 5/28/2015 2:07:44 PMAs I said in another post...they do NOT need to make the lighthouse accessible to everyone. They need to improve the rewards from the 35 PoE chest and make the PoE weapons better to match the ones from the lighthouse. For example moving the stupid vs. Fallen mods to their own tier and adding another useful perk like they've been doing with raid weapons in the past. That way both pvpers and pvers have a chance at end game gear equally.
-
3 RepliesThe reason you are "losing content" is because you aren't good enough for the content. Quit blaming Bungie, and start practicing. I'm not even that much of a pvper but I still managed to go 9-0. Just -blam!-ing play the game.
-
Oh, look. Another post about how you deserve everything.
-
Edited by Acey: 5/28/2015 2:08:38 PMYou paid for the challenge, not the reward. Just because you bought the game doesn't entitle you to anything. You said it yourself that you don't play pvp, so why do you think you're entitled to the lighthouse?
-
2 RepliesEDIT I forgot mostly kids play this game so I should probably just highlight my point instead of having you actually read. If you want to have a special area for people that PvP fine I could care less, but don't put it in a unreleased planet when people that PvE get sent to the basement of PoE. That's just insulting. I copy and pasted the BEST part of your post. Adding insult to injury effing PVPers get handed 2 guaranteed etheric light per character from ToO, you know the crucible guys where level doesn't really really matter all that much, except Iron Banner and Trials I guess is level based. But thats beside the point, they're pvpers why do they need MORE etheric light, and why do they get it FIRST? Meanwhile us raiders and PVE'ers get a lame-a$$ prison of elders horde mode, and they also lock our level 34 needed etheric light behind a level 34 WALL at Prison level 34, one that can ONLY be beaten efficiently and without hours and hours of hassle as a team of level 34s. Great logic there bungie! Great logic.
-
Even though you say pvp takes little skill, what do raids need skill for? In pvp you're facing real people who are using guns like thorn or hawkmoon. So someone like me (who uses mida) and my team have to find ways to overcome this. In pve, it is the same thing over and over again. I play in both pvp and pve because I think both are very fun, but I believe your logic is flawed if you think pve is just as hard as pvp
-
Edited by A Wild Willy: 5/28/2015 1:58:07 PMIt's one chest, get over it
-
I bought my ghorn from Xur. Truly earned it back when it was hard as -blam!- to complete things for strange coins on your own because you weren't maxed out and didn't have good weapons yet.
-
Everyone has the option to get there it's just hard why shouldn't you get rewarded for going 9-0 that's not a easy thing to do besides raid weapons are somthing that pvp guys can't get !!! And tbh if your not good enough to get to end of Vog you can't get vex so what's the difrence still s reward for doing well just for Pve don't Realy get what's the problem
-
You're the same people saying I 'earned my gjallahorn' when all you did was get it from a random drop. You didn't earn it, you got lucky.
I hate it when people say its random bit then say its luck.
RnG /=/ Luck
