I just saved up to $20 in two weeks and I'm 15. I got money by saving up coins and change from lunch I got. So anything is possible! So don't make any excuse that you can't buy the DLC. If you're older than me and have a job and can't afford the DLC I have news for you bud you don't know how to save properly.
Edit1: For all of you saying I don't anything about saving and finances. News for you Im in Personal Finance and I'm opening a Roth IRA soon when I get job
Edit2: There's no more point of me arguing anymore

1 ReplyLol the good ole days when 20 bucks was a lot to have in the wallet. Good job man, most kids are spoiled and just tell at their moms to go get it for them
-
I had a job at your age but kudos to you 20$ these days doesn't go very far though. Keep grinding.

5 RepliesI'll wipe my ass with 20 bucks you little shit

2 RepliesWell congrats on the first portion of your post. You lost me at the final portion however. Implying the correlation between a lack of funds and the inability to save is not only ignorant it is downright disrespectful. I don't have $20 for HoW. I'm currently hand washing laundry in Rubbermaid bins before I hang them on the line. Then again I just moved and the economic impacts of moving are rather harsh. Does that mean I don't know how to save? Certainly not. In fact, one could imply that since you are paying $20 for half of the content that I received for the same price months ago, that you lack budgetary planning and do not understand fiscal responsibility. Enjoy HoW and please do be respectful of others.

You go lad! Good on you...

So people are being rated by their ability to obtain illusional currency which they use to buy an illusional product that takes place in an illusional world. I much rather read how people save money to give to those who need it instead of buying something that you don't really need. #1stworldproblems

3 Replies!? I'm 15 and saved up enough money since February to buy an Xbox one, Destiny for the Xbox one and house of wolves with $80 to spare. Do you live under a rock?
-
Don't know if this is a troll or you're actually 15 Either way... Nicely Done!

Good going man. I have get money from my friends to make it through the week In general, they feed me at lunch and everything too. I only play because I stole the playstation from my uncle when I was 7 and over about three years, nearly had enough money to buy destiny with the help of some friends. Game share everything, I can't imagine me ever buying DLC. I'm that one poor kid that grows up with rich friends. I have it pretty easy I guess.

That's nuts...I've been saving up since launch day, and I've only been able to come with $19, if I grind hard enough, I'll have 20 by HoW release. I just hope I didnt waste the last 7 months saving for HoW if the content is going to be bad , if it is... I'm definitely filing a lawsuit.

Good for you. Don't listen to everyone else, you worked within your means to get the money you needed. You earned it and should feel proud.

Adorable. Kid scrapes together loose change and suddenly capitalism becomes crystal clear. So simple.

I'm 21 ( as of the 5th this month) and rake in close to $24 an hour. No college education, I'm an assistant manager at a restaurant. Work part time, pull in close to $300 a week working only weekends. My pay increased when the full manager is on vacation or leaves town. I have no bills except for food, credit cards, gas, and whatever I buy myself. No rent, it's paid for. Insurance is paid for. My phone is paid for. It's actually great. No matter what, remember that everyone has a struggle with something. Maybe not money, but it could be anything. So don't bash someone who can't afford buying $20 dlc. They might have the money, but don't feel it's worth it. So they can't "afford it." They can always buy it later.
