Rumble is ALMOST to the point of unplayable.
I say this because 80% of the games I join 4/5 other players are using thorn or tlw.
Now yes, you can still win with other guns and skill. I almost always finish with around 19 kills (21-22 usually to win) and I win every few rounds. But you're at a HUGE disadvantage if you don't use one of these 2 guns because they are far beyond other weapons 1v1.
It's simple. Hand cannons shouldn't 2 shot. There really is no more diversity in PVP.
Now yall are just gonna make comments about how I'm complaining, whining, etc. but deep down you know these weapons are broken.
The best part of Destiny PVP is it's Time To Kill. It doesn't take .5 seconds to kill someone like in COD. But the few 2 shot primaries really ruin that.
Even if they made it so every gun was Nerfed in a sense (not really) so that it took atleast 3 shots from a handcannon to kill someone no matter the gun. So every weapon just does a little less damage in the CRUCIBLE ONLY. Therefore making the TTK higher for every gun, and skill can play a bigger factor in gun fights.

I use the Bad Juju and have a 2.6kd in rumble. I'm against those Last Word users and Thorn. Ultimate tryhard weapons. Can't count how many times i've wrecked hand cannon users.

4 RepliesI don't care what weapons are used. I'm just sick of losing to players that whore their lives away. I hate "losing" with a 20kill/8deaths(or something similar) to a unskilled 21kill/25deaths. I think your k/d should be counted in the final score. This would make Rumble more skilled based.

So because other people are better than you.... It makes it unplayable....? Why not just become better? Practice using guns that you're good with. I shit on anyone with the MIDA, always have liked it's range + perks. Learn how to counter hand cannons my dude

2 RepliesI agree to the extent that those two weapons are basically the only thing I consider using in crucible if I want to win a game. Not balanced. But whatever they do next, will create another class of OP weapons. And I'll use those then. That seems to be the thing with crucible; you've got to adapt to the changes Bungie makes because they are attempting to adapt to the whiners. Never ending cycle.

12 RepliesI agree. I don't think they should need the -blam!- out of them but definitely take away the two shot thing. It doesn't even matter with thorn, I can get shot twice ANYWHERE on the body and DOT will kill me. I could get shot in the -blam!-ing foot and it wouldn't matter

Red Death is 2 shot kill, and it's so easy getting head shots with it. Plus it heals immediately after a kill. I've had a 5 kill streak with it in the space of a few seconds. Bad Juju is slightly slower but with auto shoot and reload it's about the same Shotguns.. don't even go there. My Felwinter's with shot package and hammer forged is diabolical. I don't use it for fear of overburdening guilt I've got both Thorn and TLW, and prefer most other guns.

You wouldn't have to use those guns if they would put the 2.5% damage back on the ARs which was taken off in the last update. That little tiny nerf made a massive difference in how the game is played. I used to play with my vanquisher pretty much all the time but now I have resorted to Last Word cus ARs have been rendered incredibly inferior

1 ReplyBrother I made the same forum a couple weeks ago. Couldn't agree more. I only play for the grimoire bc I'm a completist. Nothing but blink slide shotgunning, thorn and last word. It's ridiculous. My forum had so much hate on it from ppl complaining about the facts I pointed out that it hit the trending list lol. They are facts but ppl seem to complain about them. bump this forum a thousand times.

IMO The Last Word is OK. The Thorn does need a range nerf though, it is basically a high impact scout rifle with a burn. There is seemingly no damage falloff from using it as a sniper as I still consistently get 2-3 shot by it from across the map.

2 RepliesMy friend told me I wouldn't win as many rumble matches without last word. I switched to bad juju and did just as good. The people dominating with last word are the ones that are good anyway. It doesn't make a bad player good. It makes a bad player better... But not good.

What is with you and 80%? .. 80% of games you play 4/5 (80%) is using those guns. Ha.. but i completely agree. PvP is ruined thanks to xur selling TLW. But, then again.. it was ruined before then as well.

1 ReplyThe other problem is the way rumble is structured, where it doesn't matter how often you die, so shotgun rushing works whereas patient sniping doesn't get you kills fast enough. Also they allow fireteams in.
