Should the swordbearer get better rewards?
So, I am always my groups sword bearer and I'm not suggesting we get vastly better drops, but it is a lot of stress man!!
Everyone groans when you die and never says thank you when you kill him!!
Seems like I always get shafted too. The rest of my group all have 3 black hammers, 3 hungers and more while I generally just get radiants.
Still working on our first hard kill, but I just know I'm gonna scream when the guys sitting back launching get crux and weapons while I sip on my nice hot cup of $^!@

1 ReplyThis is why everyone should learn sword, so no one person always has to do it, and no one person always feels like they get the shaft after doing all the work. I'm sure if Bungie really turned an eye to this they would implement something like "Swordbearer's Guilt" or something where you can only use the sword once and then someone else has to do it. That being said, people need to chill out and be patient and let other players learn the Sword instead of bitching when they mess up once. It's just a game, guys, I'm sorry you're on such a tight schedule.

I'm a swordbearer and I find this post absolutely ridiculous..... This is a team effort... Just because you brought CROTA down for your team does not mean that you deserve something special.

13 RepliesNo, it requires a team to take down Crota, you can't do one without the other.

No incentive should be given for doing your part. I have a hunter and Titan and do the two mechanics of the fight aside from launching rockets and can tell you it's no different in terms of difficulty.

Well make one of them carry and see 8 you get better . I got my first suros . And third black hammer and my fifth or sixth dragons breath carrying . Doesn't matter either way to me. I just like smacking that thing with a sword till its dead

Probably not But I usually do When I beat Crota on hard as swordbearer for the first time I got a sparrow a word of Crota shards and my first gjallarhorn

No. Just becuase you feel the pressure, don't mean you are the sole reason the team wins. This is a "team" battle and everyone should have the same % on rolls as sword peps do. Everyone is putting in work. This kind of feels like the tank rolls in mmorpgs. Everything is up to you, but without the rest of your group, you aint going to finish it.
