Should the swordbearer get better rewards?
So, I am always my groups sword bearer and I'm not suggesting we get vastly better drops, but it is a lot of stress man!!
Everyone groans when you die and never says thank you when you kill him!!
Seems like I always get shafted too. The rest of my group all have 3 black hammers, 3 hungers and more while I generally just get radiants.
Still working on our first hard kill, but I just know I'm gonna scream when the guys sitting back launching get crux and weapons while I sip on my nice hot cup of $^!@

2 RepliesIf the swordbearer got better rewards then as soon as the swordbearer died everyone and their mother would run to the bottom to try and get the sword to get better loot. The sword bearer does the same amount of work as the rest of the team. You have to take down Crota with rockets before you can use the sword and someone has to distract boomers. Some people may get mad at the swordbearer for dying but they are just -blam!-ing idiots and need to learn that you can't always do something flawlessly. Mistakes happen and you have to accept the fact, not scream about how bad your team is and rage quit.

I'm not much of a sword bearer. Once or twice on normal but never really needed to learn on hard. I always feel bad when the sword bearer gets shards or crap and others get exotics, yes they should have a higher chance at good stuff

I'm still trying to perfect my sword running on hard. I'll run sword all day on normal. But ya man, the STRESS! Emblem, shader...something to feel proud of.

10 RepliesRunning the sword is the easiest part. Grab sword, jump on rock, say rockets, jump off rock, run over to Crota hit R2 3 times, run back to rock, rinse and repeat. Nothing hard about that. My group uses the left strategy so everyone has to be on point to succeed.

Called teamwork buddy! If you have this mentality, you are simply a selfish flog! Can a sword bearer drop hard mode crotas shield by himself? Not unless you are extremly good. So if you want all the rewards for your self go solo him you idiotic flog!

No. Everyone has their role and they are all significant. Without dps sword bearers cant kill crota. Without sword bearers dpsers cant beat Crota. So I am cool with current reward system in this manner.

Sword beare is part of a team. Without the rest of the team the sword bearer( in most cases) arent shit. I never hear a sword beare say thanks for downing him like a pro . works both ways . thanx to all the bad ass sword bearers tho!
