Thorn users in PvP are pathetic.
Before you get your undies in a bunch, read #2 below.
While I do not agree with a hand cannon nerf, people that use a fully upgraded Thorn in the Crucible are pathetic. Especially you 32s in the Iron Banner. So pathetic. And, for all you Thorn fanbabies reading this: I'll have Thorn as soon as I kill Xyor this weekend. And when I do, just as my gaming buddies, I will choose [i]not[/i] to bring it the the Crucible. I'll continue to push your teeth through your head without it.
1. I do not know why my stats don't show up. I have my privacy settings off. I've been here since launch. I have three level 31 Guardians, one of each class. My primaries are MIDA, Up for Anything, and Timur's Lash. Specials are LDR 5001 and Invective, depending on my character and the map.
2. I used inflammatory language to get your attention. It worked really, [i]really[/i] well.

Try taking people down woth your bullets and not perks that do the damage for you. Say what you pussies want, you've got zero skill. Thorn and mytho should both be banned from the iron banner but still kept in crucible where the children like to play woth their special toys. You little girls can talk your sh** now lol

10 RepliesThe thorn is really not more powerful than any other handcannon in the game. I almost exclusively using handcannons in the crucible. I primarily use the hawkmoon because it was my first exotic. Well I got the thorn the other day and finally got the DoT perk on it and decided I would play some IB with it. Lo and behold I didn't do any better than it with my hawkmoon. Sure the DoT is nice but you need to get 3 hits on an enemy plus the DoT to get a kill. Where in those three hits with a hawkmoon they've already respawned. TL;DR Experienced handcannon user says thorn is no better than other handcannons.

In my opinion, the Thorn is a great weapon. With it, I actually have a kill death ratio above 1 in the crucible when I use it. When I did not have the Mark of the Devourer upgrade, I was doing terrible. Ever since I did get the Mark of the Devourer upgrade, I can actually get on a 5 kill streak.

Using exotic heavy can be cheap too, and I love truth and Thunderlord in the crucible, but hey, those are like supers in that if you get killed, you lose your shit for a while. Variety in this game is -blam!-ed because any player who chooses not to occupy his primary slot with an exotic is at a real technical disadvantage in the game. Maybe they can have a "legendary weapons and armor" mode that doesn't allow exotics to be used. It could be cool. Maybe they need to really rethink making OP'd exotic primaries. I definitely find the exotic secondaries and heavies less destructive.
