So you shoot the same robotic AI enemies for hours on end?
You repeat the same vanguard bounties every day?
You shoot cabal, die from cabal, and repeat, on exclusion zone until your eyes bleed?
You slowly murder every enemy in a repetitive strike over and over for the same rewards?
You decrypt yet another blue engram for your 300th piece of armor to dismantle for your 4,000th piece of material?
You watch as you collect 23 shiny vanguard commendations and use them for nothing?
You patrol the same 5 places you've traversed millions of times to stare into a cave and shoot defenseless enemies?
Why? Is this 'fun'?
When did iphone games with great graphics become acceptable?

1 ReplyHey man, Team Dryads are recruiting. We are solely a PvP clan of 10 members, we do the raids and nightfalls etc but our main focus is PvP! https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Forum/738309. We're preparing for Iron Banner on the 17th as well, send over and invite to join, PS4 clan

Pve = chores to wrap up as quick as possible Pvp = where the real fun begins! Far less predictability. Far less repetition in terms of engagements. True skill. Competition. Highs and lows! Dynamic strategies! Hardcore team work! Glory!

I liked PvP till the lag got unbearable. I'm not terrible, positive KD (barely), I just can't stand the lag. The FRs and shotguns and thorn, Suros or vex don't bother me, but a teleporting invincible noob meleeing me from across the room causes rage quitting.
-
I'm average and I play PvP more than I probably should. lol I just like having fun with it, which then causes my K/D to suffer. The only time I ever took PvP serious was for exotic bounties and I do fairly well. Outside of that I just have fun with it.

145 RepliesSo you shoot the same human enemies for hours on end? You repeat the same kind of vs missions or free for all every day? You shoot their face, die from their shots, and repeat, on every multilayer game offering the exact same team death match and control? You slowly murder every enemy in a repetitive match over and over for the same rewards? You buy yet another game for your 300th gun you unlock for your 4,000th kill? You watch as you collect a high K/D ratio and use them for bragging? You run the same control maps the same 5 places you've traversed millions of times to stare into a capture zone and shoot enemies? Why? Is this 'fun'? When did the same meager minigame with great graphics become acceptable? Get off your fucking high horse you neanderthal of a gamer and go play a story for once instead of playing call of duty 47 with the same guns and maps but a different re-skin.

I was/am horrible at PvP, but I've been playing quite a bit lately. It all started..... With the bad juju bounty. Then I thought since I did that I might as well do thorn... Then I grabbed invective.... Then things got serious. I got sick of waiting on a lucky roll on a scout rifle so i decided to level up to crucible 3 from 0 and get enough marks to buy that sweet Crucible scout rifle. I actually had a few games where I did pretty awesome along the way, a few not so awesome... especially once during clash got matched against Invigorate. I rage quit haha.

Has it ever occurred to you that some people just hate that garbage game mode? This game is all about PVE. The crucible nonsense was just to get the CoD guys over. Now go eat a bucket of dick.
-
Let's see: 1. I don't like pvp 2. I like pve sometimes 3. I don't play pvp because pvp elitists like yourself proceed to complain about all the garbage players in pvp. You are either so dumb or a really good troll
well you got my bump, your welcome ;-)
-
Just curious.. how you compare that to pvp. You know running around in circles shooting the same targets it the same places. The ammo always spawning in the same place. Really any comparison to pve can be made to PvP. Go play cod ... All that said.. everyone sucks at PvP.. it's a trained skill, once you get it down you can at least hold a respectable score. That's how you get good at PvP.
-
The PvP in this game is the most trivial PvP I have ever seen in all my gaming life. Easiest shit I have ever played.
-
Are you missing out on easy kills? Having issues beating someone down in the crucible? Come to the forums and see if you can fester some low self esteem to come be your PvP target. Reallly... If someone wants to login and sit in orbit... It's their choice live with it. It's not your place to say what other players get to do. You didn't pay for their game, their console, their online subscription, their internet provider. Really... Go back to your corner and think of a better topic.

Pvp is boring. If I wanted to play a pvp game I'd play call of duty or battle field.

I'm not good at sex, so I don't don't have it.

1 ReplyEdited by MeanDean37: 2/9/2015 7:00:33 AMwhy do people care what others do? I get creamed in PVP, so it's not fun to me. to me, it's fun to work together and communicate in 6 man raids. if you only play pvp, good for you. if you only play pve, good for you. if you play both, good for you
-
Now now They like that style. Are they noobs? Yes. Should they be insulted for it? Nah. You aren't insulting them either, so I won't say you are. I'm the same thing as them... well You can't be bad at PvE lol... but I'm a strict PvPer Most of the time, this game is a social experience (which is ridiculous because it's a single player game) so some people aren't fans of PvP. Not to mention, it is broken. Just because you and I are used to it, doesn't mean it didn't take a good 30 matches before we got shit figured out. Let em noob out breh, they have every right too. Just teabag Glowhoos, and you'll be happy

Too many problems when i play pvp. Bungie servers begin to go nuts when i step in crucible. So i plays lots of different games other than destiny
-
I play when I get bored of pve but I definitely only really like raids and nightfalls and pve stuff. Pvp is fun and I'm decent. But I have never farmed for glimmer on exclusion zone. I saw how to do it and couldn't, I just did strikes with the consumables
-
4 RepliesAgreed. Too many PvE fanboys play Destiny. I don't have a problem with people liking PvE. I grind it myself so I can get bounties/experience to upgrade my gear. But what I do have a problem with is when people say it "takes no skill to play Crucible". That's just pure ignorance... or jealousy because they aren't as good at PvP. Period. If anything, it takes even more skill to take on thinking opponents rather than scripted AI. All it takes in Crucible to get better is dedication, learning the maps and where the heavy drops are, and learning what weapons work in different situations. If you get frustrated and give up too fast, then you're never going to be good. Just like if you give up every time you get to a hard part in raid.

Why are you so concerned about what other player enjoy?

PoS person

Id play pvp more if the choices werent team deathmatch, more team deathmatch and ffa. To me playing the same 4-5 maps isn't fun, sorry, im not bad at it i just find it way too oriented on kills. In pretty much every other fps i played i play big team or objective modes. Also, and this is kind of my fault for going to hard pve wise, there's nothing for me to earn there, like at all. When ib is around i do it, even if im already max level its nice to have different max level gear options. Once trails is out, ill be there, for now its just not worth it to me.

you sound so mean.

Because people who are "good" at pvp like to talk down on people who aren't doing equal to them. Of course they do the same to people who are better but it is human nature.
