1 ReplyI dont immediately add anyone. Kinda rude to me. If I like gaming with them, they have a good sense of humor, I ask if I can add them. Good player is ok, good sense of humor is better.
-
I won't add someone simply because they're female. They doesn't automatically mean they're fun to play with(no pun intended) or that they're good. I'll add a player only under those conditions being "met". Be fun and/or good at the good and I'll add you. Screw sex (pun intended).

4 RepliesI don't go out of my way to friend anyone. They always add me, and its because they see you're good. There's a group of guys who just add girls because they're rare to hear. Some because the girl is actually good. Guys, like girls, crave attention from the opposite sex so they friend them and then just try to make themselves out to be great in front of her. My clan leader is a female, lesbian, right. And guys friend her all the time. Me and her are sitting in party chat and these guys say things like, "omg I've never actually heard a girl gamer before!" and things like that. Some guys kind of stalk her. This one guy kept trying to make himself out to be like some hunk lol. He kept saying about how he's 6'3 and all guys shorter than that are somehow unworthy of anything. Guys don't say that to other guys.... So it's all that craving for attention, affeection, whatever. They don't know she's a lesbian lol. Anyway, she usually notices that type of guy and kicks them eventually because they just try to hoard her for himself. Different reasons for different guys but it usually takes a few group chats to figure out what the main reason is. Should be pretty obvious eventually.

Edited by Mash1987: 2/4/2015 10:14:11 AMPlayed with a girl yesterday who was very good with the sword, was a great group I ended up in... No one hassled her, everyone was very chilled... It's strange, but online gaming is one of those places where racism, homophobia, sexual harassment, are all a lot easier to get away with because people can't see you, kinda shows how cowardly a lot of human beings are really. I have seen it first hand a girl gamer being hassled just for being a girl and it's a bit dumb... Also reading the replies on this forum to every girl who posts is kind of similar.. And I guarantee you there are only a very small percentage of girls who would ever talk on a mic for these very reasons, so I feel sorry for them in games like destiny when I mic is almost essential at times

3 RepliesI've played with a few females on Destiny so far..only added one because we raid with her frequently and she's pretty good. I acknowledge that there are female gamers so I don't get overwhelmed with excitement when I happen to discover one.
-
6 RepliesNever add anyone except people i know but if I'm pugging raids I'll except anyone who is over 19, i love how gamer girls are proud to be so sought after from proper ugly freaks that fantasise over women on the Internet expecting them to look like anime characters.. Not a compliment.

After a raid/nightfall I'll add the players that I liked. It makes it easier to find people to play with later on, and to make a better group because you know the players skills. Male or female doesn't matter.

2 RepliesI never add people. If someone new ends up on my friendlist, it's always them who send the friend request and not me. I always feel intrusive and whatnot if I start randomly sending friend requests. Antisocial attitude is fun fun fun.
-
2 RepliesNo they dont get added.

1 ReplyI add everyone I do nightfalls/raids/weeklies with beforehand so it's easier to get into a fireteam with them. I usually keep people on my friends list so I can throw invites out to do raids with when my group is down a person or two. I have no preference for one gender over another when it comes to gaming.

I, personally, have a couple girl psn players on my friends list. The only reason i have them on there is because i acknowledge that they are good. Most have kicked my ass at my own game, so good competition could be a reason too.

If she has skills I'll add. If she says she wont put on a stronger armor because it clashes with her shader and other armor she has on then no. And that has happened. Or if she is a lvl 31 and we are doing crota on normal and all she can talk about is how we need all 31s and a 32 swordbearer to beat it and all she does is die and keeps going on about how its because there are not enough 31s and blah blah blah blah. Then no..... No
