If im not swordbearer in CE hard...
I'm not doing it. I'm not trying to wipe for the next two hours because of a sword bearer. If Im not sword bearer, i won't run it.
Anyone else feel this way about certain things?
Edit: im willing to help anyone who needs it... So I'm not trying to be pretentious, I just like to get it done quick so if you ever need help lemme know. XboxOne

Just find better sword bearers man. There's no need to have the I'm mightier sword bearer of all kind of attitude. There's probably many upon many people that are worse than you and even the same number that are probably better than you. I'm not trying to cock you off, just can't stand how you worded that. Sounded ignorant and stuck up.

1 ReplyI'm just not very good timing the jumps otherwise I'd do it, I'm good at taking out boomers so that's what I do. I'd rather be responsible for keeping you safe than freaking out with the sword.

For this very reason I've been grinding to get my Hunter up to a Lvl 32. And now that I have, I need to get some practice in with the sword so I can get the timing and everything down. It's all good when you have a good experienced Swordbearer but when the 1 Hunter in the group says "Well I've never used it but I'll try." it usually doesn't end well.

Dude I totally understand and it sucks finding groups for my Titan and warlock for this reason. I can sword with them more effectively than a random hunter but it just doesn't work out cause their timing is always off for what I need

I like the fact that I have experience as Sword Bearer and can do it on any character. With that being said I have no problem letting someone else run sword but I won't be afraid to speak up if I notice something not going smoothly.

I just started running as sword bearer with all three characters! I like the rush and control of it. Although I am more than happy to watch another good bearer have it.. But after say 5-8 attempts I usually ask if I can try a few times and can do in about three attempts..

Great swordbearer means nothing if your team can't dps Crota efficiently.

I've never understood why it matters, its not hard there's no crazy skill need to push a couple buttons and hit crota a few times Confuses me when ppl can't do.it, I use a warlock and can still do it Sometimes ill get unlucky and get -blam!- by boomers but it's rare, usually my team can distract them but sometimes they'll.forget

It's more of a practice and timing issue....I understand you completely about wasting 2 hours of time....lot of responsibility on sword bearer...believe me I know...but reality is...anyone can be sword bearer with practice, but how many people are willing to practice to get it down right? How many in group are willing to be patient about letting the sword bearer learn? It's a flaw with the raid...cause in reality others just help with taking out sword bearer and ogres....and get to safe spot? But all in all bro...don't hate when people are trying to learn give them encouragement and advice on what they are doing wrong...

I feel having me do it would improve our productivity, but I've never run it before. However, at one point I also never ran relic or portal team in VoG. I learned and now am almost always that guy simply because I'm better at it than most. I don't see the sword being any different. So in my opinion its a matter of letting people learn. A lot of people were forced to learn to use the relic in vog because of the update that added random teleports. There isn't going to be something like that for the sword in CE, so its up to us to try and learn all roles, isn't it?
