When is a "fist of panic" OK?
Admission: I am currently terrible at PvP.
Statement of Awareness: I know some that like PvP have a dislike of "fist of panic" kills.
Situational Question: Is this actually an okay use of said kill? At the very start of a control mission I stumbled into an entire 6 man team capturing "A." Realizing my immediate death I slammed the ground killing 5, as the last of the company destroyed me.
Result I: Best I've done in PvP match. (Like I said, I'm bad at PvP).
Result II: The rest of the match I was given payback from the entire other team. I would spawn, take about five steps and ambush death followed.
Comment: For the purest PvP players.... when is a "fist of panic" OK?

4 RepliesIf you get a kill, it was the right time. If it saved you from dying, it was the right time. That's it. You wanna roll Mythoclast and Found Verdict and Fist of Panic 24/7 go for it. If the enemy team is raging you're probably doing something right. Show no mercy, guardian.

It's always ok... The only thing people get annoyed about is when you are destroying a player and he insta kills you...but I deal with it...

I think it's only really a nuisance when it becomes "fist of panic" Other than that, I don't see any issues with using it at your disclosure.

How did you have your super at the start of a match.... Besides that, all supers are fine to use whenever. You should never not use your super or miss with it. Chaining orbs is key.

6 RepliesRecently made a Titan after playing a hunter and warlock for some while now. Have to say that the Titan super always pissed me off so whenever I use it I realize how OP it is. To be honest all supers are bullshit and anytime you use it is a good time use it. Even if it's a panic super

There isn't anything intrinsically wrong with it. It's just frustrating for other players. I'll yell god damn it fist of panic at my TV, but it doesn't actually matter. A kills a kill.

When you have heavy ammo to lose..or you need 15 kills with a super (bounty) and you're at 14 and the match is almost over. Or, if it's the same schmuck who's killed you 12 times in a row and you want redemption at any cost. Just a few I can think of off the top.

Fist of panic is ok at any time, even if there are no enemies. If someone doesn't like it, fist them too!

Edited by Gecko 77: 2/3/2015 8:09:02 PMUse it anytime and don't listen to the children who cry about it. It's a weapon in your arsenal so use it. Bungie should create a "Helm of the Beserker." Each kill with a melee or FoH replenishes super much like the Obsidian Mind for warlocks.

Panic Bomb, Fist of panic, Blink of panic. Where is this going? Although Blink is not an instant kill. It takes timing and skill.

When someone does that and I'm the only one around then I immediately assume they've admitted defeat and turn to desperation tactics. They've admitted that I've caught them off guard and they've lost. It's like dropping a bomb on a campsite with 3 people. It's silly. And another take on it is if they use it on just one person then you've forced them to waste it. They COULD HAVE used it on a group of enemies taking a zone or something. Instead you forced their hand and made them waste a super on something a shotgun could have done with one shot. It's hilarious.

Um, as long as you're having fun and doing well, who cares? If someone gets butthurt over getting killed by a super then that's their problem.
