I was on swordbearer duty.

The Weapons of Sorrow were believed to be nothing more than a myth. But even the darkest myths are born of some truths, and whispers of the Necrochasm have long filled the Light with dread.
It is said the Necrochasm was born in the twilight after Crota’s sword first cracked the Moon. That a lost Guardian’s weapon was altered by the Hive in an attempt to fuse their own dark understanding with humanity’s mastery of war. The result was a weapon that would feed on its owner’s aggression—reaching further when angry eyes drew focus, its hunger rising as it tore through bone and flesh.
Any Guardian who comes across the weapon must ask some very simple questions with endlessly complicated answers: Is your Light bright enough to stand, even briefly, in full gaze of the Hive's abyss? Can it handle what has died and been reborn in those shadows?

I got it on week 3 shooting ghorns as a warlock, got another crux since then and its in my vault

1 ReplyOne of the most over hyped guns ever to come out in a game. Who ever is calling shots at Bungie now is so scared to make epic guns. It's a game, give the people what they want. Numbers wise you have a gun that should be the strongest in the game, but no one who has it uses it because it shoots water. Make the guy who designed the Ghorn the head gun maker and let the blood spill!

Spent ages farming for husk of the pit, upgrading to Eidolon Ally, doing Crota hm to get a shit gun that's currently sitting in my vault. Would trade it for the Suros in a heartbeat. Have to agree that Bungie is too scared to make epic guns because of the noob whiners crying about the game being unbalanced and now we all have to settle for mediocrity.

I would be more proud that I beat CE on hard mode then I would having the shiniest turd in the game.

Have it taking up a slot in my vault. Amazing gun if your goal is to tickle enemies to death.
