No, no, no. Very bad idea for Destiny if trading becomes 'freely' allowed. As frustrated as you might be by the RNG loot system, surely the idea of being handed what you want will ruin the fun in wanting it? Where's the fun in continuing to play? Be honest, when got the Gjallahorn, Vex, Suros, Fatebringer etc. how did you feel? You felt happy but then you felt somehow empty didn't you? You asked yourself 'what next' didn't you? Trading will kill the addictive nature of the game which is why most people play it in the first place.
Now, having said that, trading with the other 2 members of your fireteam following a strike/nightfall etc. COULD work but needs careful thought.
What do Guardians think?

Limited trading within fire team during event or at most in orbit before the next is started.
-
They'd add microtransactions before trading.
-
Edited by ElecTr1c Dre4mS: 1/30/2015 2:36:28 PMThey will never implement item trading. If anything, it'll be currency/consumables/mats that they will make tradeable
-
No trading.
-
2 RepliesAuction system FTW
-
I think it's not a bad idea but it should cost to trade say strange coins (Each person has to) or something so it makes you limited to trade and keeps you grinding so you still 'earn' it or are worth receiving and of course has to be a fair trade
-
What fun do you speak of? In Destiny?!? Surely not...

3 RepliesI've never gotten an exotic or a weapon that made me excited. They all suck absolute garbage @$$hole. Only ever wanted hard light and gally, go figure two of the hardest weapons to get. So I don't care what they do, who gets what or how the games continually run bungie sucks, xur is the definition of a repeat vendor hack, and trading still would somehow fuk up and probably lose both guardians trade offers giving them both nothing. DONT ADD MORE SHIT UNTIL YOU FIX THE BROKEN CRAP THATS ALREADY THERE.
-
1 ReplySeeing as how we are destiny players, we'll probably find an exploit/glitch that would cause, let's say, cloning the exotics and spreading those quickly.

1 ReplySince I've seen nearly all my friends and most of the community at large have been granted a Gjallarhorn, and having personally seen it drop for others over 30 times now, here's what I would do if I actually got one: 1) Celebrate like I won the Super Bowl 2) Use every one of my Rocket Launcher Telemetry, every bounty on every character, and do everything I could to get it to max as fast as possible 3) Use it to wreck anything that gets in my -blam!-ing way. I don't care about what's next. I care about the fact that I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for one -blam!-ing weapon to drop and continue to be denied. Hell, I still have never received the hunter boots in the Vault Of Glass. Pure RNG is crap. Xur offering Dragon's Breath for sale when it drops like crazy from raids, nightfalls, etc. is crap. And having a single weapon in a game that is so powerful, that not having it puts you at a disadvantage is crap.
-
I've gotten 5 Ice Breakers. My friend has gotten 5 Gjallarhorns. I want Gjallarhorn, he wants an Ice Breaker. The fact that we can't trade at least one of each is -blam!-ing outrageous. I'm not asking for unchecked anything for anything trading, but absolutely 0 trading is just... holy -blam!-ing hell. Doesn't help RNG is -blam!-ing bullshit. And not in the fact that it doesn't drop me what I want, but rather drops me the same thing over and over again. What the -blam!- do I need 5 freaking Ice Breakers, or 7 VoC's or 4 Symbiotes for? Being random would imply that I have a fairly equal chance of all things being dropped, yet I get the Ice Breaker over and over again. Hell, I got Plan C several times from the VoG before finally getting the cloak. I'm not claiming to know how the RNG is calculated in this game, but however it's done, something isn't working right when I have my 5th IB and my friend his 5th Gally and all we can do with them is dismantle them in front of each other.
-
3 jellys no hawkmoons.... I want trading cuz RNG is crap.
-
1 ReplyI think...it's cool to see someone on my friends list post a interesting topic.
-
They could have trading for legendaries and lower only with the exception of raid gear/weaps (only dropping in raids). This would be the only way a trade system can work. But no one cares because they want to trade raid gear and weaps and exotics.
-
The last 4 rewards that I have gotten from vog is corrective measure , I have a feeling that until the end of time , I would still get corrective measure , I would love it if I could trade with someone for atheon's epilogue. I see no harm in trading , I don't think that it would be a huge issue , if there wasn't a bad loot system
-
Than why the -blam!- can we get gear for other classes
-
Edited by tidus_0893: 1/30/2015 5:44:43 AMI agree. People piss and moan so much about what Xur sells, but want to be able to trade.... Then people still wouldn't be "earning" their gear. I'm a fan of Xur, but trading with other players would not be all that great after its all said and done. Edit: what you said about trading gear at the end of a raid/strike is pretty fair though IMO.
-
Same when I got to level 32, but I still don't have Gjallarhorn so I can look forward to that!
-
I think you're a moron. And I have all the guns you listed.
-
I bought the suros. I never got gally. I have gotten fatebringer 8 times. Tell me, how am I supposed to be happy.
-
Nope, I never felt like that because I am apparently in the minority of games like this and I don't give a crap about getting a billion guns just for the sake of having them. For me, if I get a weapon I like and it is effective then I stick with it and couldn't care less about getting something else. I was the same way in Borderlands and Borderlands 2 while others were so obsessed with trying to get new stuff. As it is, other than the raid weapons which I will probably never get since I doubt I will ever play the raids, the only weapon I want that I don't have is Gjallarhorn. Even if I never were able to get it I wouldn't care too much since Ice Breaker owns everything and no, I never asked "what's next" after I bought it. I do understand the "what's next" mentality some have but to me it makes no sense and is just acting like a hamster on a wheel chasing that dangling food. Regarding trading, I would welcome it so I could trade with my mates that I play with, especially if/when I get gear that is of a different class and they could use it. Once again I am in the minority it seems as I don't have a character of each class so when I get non hunter items they are useless to me. I'd also be cool with giving stuff to random people who may want it, specifically if they are of a lower level and have reached a semi ceiling which many non hardcores (yes I know, it is crazy to think there are some who don't spend a dozen+ hours every week playing Destiny!) face in the low to mid 20s range unless they are lucky with rngesus. If they want some help then I see no reason not to help them. Just because some may not want easy stuff because it'd ruin the incentive to keep playing doesn't mean everyone else feels that way and if someone doesn't think their enjoyment would be lessened if they were given something nice then why does it matter to others? I just don't understand why so many people want to go all dictator on others when it comes to playing video games. Just because a person may play a game this way or that way doesn't mean everyone else should have to do the same. I guess for pvp there is some validity behind that but for pve why does ANYONE care what someone else has or does? It's a video game, not real life or a test of life and how you do in a video game like this is not an indication of how well you do at life. I couldn't care less if everyone but me who plays this game had every single good weapon. How would that ruin or impact the game for me?
-
Lets just say I have a buddy who just picked up destiny. So I have a bunch of old raid gear that I could trade him raid gear for what ever hes got. This would be limited to 1 trade per week to not allow ppl to pimp out friends without the friend playing atleast a little bit
-
Edited by ShadowStrider09: 1/30/2015 3:09:20 AMNo one wants to grind for 400 hours for one -blam!-ing weapon, they'd rather be using it. They could really limit the trading and add other blocks of sorts, I think it'd make the experience better if done right than worse.
-
Not feely, but maybe after a round of playing, you can start an offer to another player when you're a hunter and say, the other is a warlock with a hunter helm
-
Yes trade. Least make -blam!-ing mmon and more content
-
2 RepliesThe only trading I would be for is that after a strike or raid the members of that fireteam could trade the rewards that they got. After you start a new strike or exit the reward screen the rewards are locked and can no longer be traded.
