So, the Community Focus....does DeeJ even know what that means?
Sure sure, let's just focus on drumming up some guys twitter and YouTube sub's instead of, i don't know, addressing some of the issues the Community clearly voiced their opinions about this past weekend. I mean call me crazy and all but isn't that your job? Or is it to simply turn a blind eye to what is going on and set the Ninja's on us to quell the uprising.
You know what DeeJ? Why not just speak to the masses. If Bungie can't give us certain things then at least tell us why. Why not make a reply to "the update we will never get" and go through each point and tell us what Bungie can and can't do. Is it really that hard?
I am not asking that you pander to us and reply to every post on the forums but when something like this happens and clearly a lot of forum users get behind it, then I feel it is part of your job to reply and address the issue.
If you can not do this then I call for a vote of no confidence in our current community manager.
Bump if you agree.
Edit: Normally I don't get like this but let's look at what happened at the weekend. A lot of forum users got behind "The update we'll will never get". Before you say they didn't, sure there was only a hand full of posts covering the subject but each one had 100's of bumps of support. I understand that is only a tiny number compared to how many people play, but not everyone who plays voices their opinions on here.
Now how did Bungie manage the community on this subject? They had the posts removed. Sure it is their site and they have their rules but they invited us here in the 1st place. We are all paying guests at Hotel Destiny. A hotel that wants a 5* rating but whos level of customer service falls far short of that.
Edit 2: Ok I feel some of you think I am trying to shoot the messenger here but I am not. Let's put it like this. I don't want DeeJ to step down, I want him (Bungie) to step UP. Give those of us who have our doubts a reason to have confidence in him (you) again.
Simply sweeping away an issue that 100's of forum members got behind is not good Community Management. To be honest it is not so much what was in "The update we'll never get" that is important to me, it is the way a lot of people came together for a change to support something and then the way it was handled.
Edit 3: Over 500 replies. I'd like to say thanks for the constructive thoughts posted for and against what I am trying to say. I'm glad some understand and I'm even more happy that a few of those who didn't agree gave the time for polite discussion. How ever you feel though, stay true to your beliefs. I'm off to bed now (10.20 pm here) and I'll see how this all pans out in the morning.
Again, thanks to you all.

He doesn't reply either. Not hating on Deej just that he almost never replies to any comments. If only he replies to the forums that actually have meaning. I saw a forum that had tons and tons of great ideas Deej if you see this please don't ignore.

Get off it OP. You are wrong.

Confrontation is necessary before it turns into conflict. Conflict is not where this "should" go, but unless these things are addressed, that's where it's headed. I love your game Bungie, please just respond...

imo activision -blam!-ed us over and they also -blam!-ed bungie over.

Bungie is failing on how they are handling the community of a game that is supposed to be highly social. have they even said anything recently? besides hot fixes for cheesing but no fixes on their broken raid itself. they are barely even updating anymore, I think they have gave up on the game as it stands and probably won't be back till comet comes out if they don't sink by then.

Ya it would be nice for him to be like we are doing this, we are working on this, we can't implement this etc etc. keep us informed. But he never posts here, considering that's his job it's pretty pathetic. He only comes around when he's trying to promote something. He isn't a community manager more of a destiny/Bungie cheerleader

3 RepliesHe hasnt played in almost a week, and only has level 30 characters, so he has no idea what playing Hardmode Crota is like and how glitchy it is.
-
8 RepliesIf only he actually cared. Dude makes 80k+ a year to write a couple hundred word forum post a week. Dudes pretty bad in my opinion.

I wonder what tonights worthless update will be. Its been weeks since we've had a good one (actually, the last worthwhile update I remember was for Iron Banner 2.0)
-
At some point you guys are going to have to realize that the level/method of involvement Bungie is at currently isn't going to change.
-
Why would they respond to something when they can just censor it and pretend it never existed? Bungie lives by the saying "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

Deej is still waiting for a set of balls to drop in an engram before he speaks to the masses.

2 RepliesThe issue I had with "The update we will never get" , is that it was too far fetched. Many of the ideas are great, and I would love if several were in the game. Many would require complete reprogramming. Instead, focus on issues that can fix, then add smaller thing they can do now. My suggestions in things to fix can be found HERE.

9 RepliesEdited by Saninus: 1/29/2015 7:01:06 PMI got really spoiled on the Mass Effect 3 forums. (I doubt many of you played the Co op portion of that game) They were amazing: -balance updates every Tuesday -bug fixes and updates about progress or what was holding up progress -community manager that actually read the forums -random devs would pop in a thread from time to time and answer questions -an amazing min/maxing community that was constantly doing the math on different powers and weapons ...basically everything we don't have here. Now, admittedly... this game has a much larger scale. But... shouldn't that mean that Bungie should be putting in twice the work? Just feels like Bungie has put their head in the sand. I think they might have bitten off more than they could chew. Still a great game though... It could just be SO MUCH MORE.

I'm just waiting for him to post the statistics from Crota HM, because we all know that's all this weeks update will cover.
