209 RepliesEdited by xxEVILMONKYxx: 1/19/2015 8:16:44 PMMy general experience scale: 0-1700 - New player. If they have a character past 30 it's usually their only one. Very limited end-game experience. 1800-2100 - Experienced. Have been tackling end-game content for a bit now. Can be a Vet in certain circumstances such as if they only run 1 character class (ie, 3 Warlocks), don't play Crucible, haven't found any dead ghosts, exclusively use one weapons type, ect. More than likely have end-game experience on at least one character. 2200-2400 - Vet - Player has experienced all end-game content on at least 1 character, probably all 3 classes towards end of the scale. It's very rare I see a player in this range who doesn't know what they're doing or who has bad weapons. 2500-2700 - Pro - Runs at least 2/3 classes and completed all content. Generally will always have experience and the right weapons for any situation. 2700+ - Legend - Done everything. They've killed 10,000 people in the Crucible with Pulse Rifles just to get +15 Grimoire score. If someone in this group offers a suggestion it would be wise to listen.

Mine is reasonable because I've never tried to get a high score so it's where it should be unless you devote your life to this game

Who cares?

Take gramps advice.

Look for the dead ghosts. Went from 2225 to 2450 just by revive most of the dead ghost.
-
2180 Id say make different characters and use different guns. Fairly new score. It's pretty simple to hit 2k

Mine should be higher but some ghost didn't give me grimoire score wtf

Who the -blam!- cares. Grimoire = Time Played

Edited by Jungle Jim: 1/21/2015 2:44:26 PMDoesnt mean shit in this game. Mines is 2540 and i can say it freely . It shows experience nothing else its not feat related. By that i mean unlocked by a hard achievement like trophies. Flawless raider for example. If these type achievements were what made your score increase then yeah id throw a bit of meaning behind the score but i dont care how well someone uses pulse rifles if theyve got a suros equipped. It just shows time spent ingame Edit: and its just another time sink created by bungie

Edited by tgpumpkin: 1/21/2015 2:44:56 PMI posted a chart of what a Grimoire score told me on a post a while back. Big thing about Grimoire score is it only demonstrates EXPERIENCE, NOT SKILL. Eventually with enough experience anyone can have a high grimoire score. One of the key things though is that it can be somewhat skewed for players like myself who only want to play with 1 guy. More power to those who want 3 characters, but for me I don't want that experience when there isn't much more to the game to experience. As a result, I won't ever hit that. For me, this is how I read Grimoire 0-1000: You're brand new to the game and in the story mode. You have lots to learn but that's okay, everyone starts somewhere. 1001-1500: You've made some substantial progress in the game but you're probably not done with story yet. Your weapons and armor are probably a mix of greens and blues. You're probably still below level 20. 1500-2000: You are most likely close to the end of the story mode or have beaten it. Your weapons and armor are probably blues with some purples in there. You've probably picked up a couple of exotics at this point and are working through end game content like Nightfalls, Weeklys, and raids. 2000-2500: You're a vet. You know most of the game at this point and doing anything end game content is pretty routine. You haven't found every dead ghost and most likely don't have all characters maxed but you've seen most of what there is to see in Destiny and can call yourself seasoned. 2500+: You're the elite. You have taken your passion for Destiny to a whole new level and explored virtually everything there is to see with all 3 classes. Nothing is new to you or surprises you at this point. You've mastered all 3 classes and at this point are just waiting for the next expansion to take on a new challenge. EDIT: For the sake of disclosure, I'm 2145.

Moderate score you are average

Play the game you paid for the way you want. Dont let what other people think have an influence on your enjoyment. If your happy with 700 then 700 is good.

Edited by Some Black Guy: 1/21/2015 9:41:20 AMI can care less about my score, because it means nothing. I know people with 1800 - 2700, so eh, I'm fine it.
-
2k+ is fine for me.
-
Look for ghosts if you want more, that gives you around 300 or 400 when I get back from holidays I'm gonna focus on 2800. I'm on 2700, my friend is 2815

1 ReplyXbox One here. My Grimore score is 2255. Level 32 Hunter. Level 31 Titan. Level 32 Warlock. To lazy to get ghosts. Don't play Crucible nomore. I'm a skill swordholder on Crota. Can do the raid legit. Add me as friend. Gamertag: DOA Catwoman.
