Sooo... Are we just going to ignore Bad Juju? (Added video)
[b]Bad Juju[/b] - hated by most, barely leveled by some.
This things a hidden monster. The "firing from the hip" perk is fairly useless imho..BUT the last perk, which hardly anyone knows about because its a pulse rifle and nobody levels it that high, makes up for it.
[i]Instant reload[/i] - DOES [b]NOT[/b] pull from the reserve ammo. Its literally infinite ammo. If you can't get a kill by 24 shots, you might want to brush up your aiming.
[i]More damage[/i] - its a crowd control perk on steroids.
[i]More super energy[/i] - you combine the instant reload/infinite ammo, put a crowd control perk on to mow down adds, and then top it off with more super energy per kill and you have orbs for days! Drop obsidian mind on a warlock and its a nova bomb apocalypse.
Granted, this isn't a go to for PvP, but damn this things fun in PvE.
So what do you say? Give bad juju a shot will ya? :)

This video wasn't made by me, but it shows the wombo combo of obsidian mind and Bad J at work. Not gonna lie...kinda turned me on a little bit.
Edit: after the recent buff to pulse rifles, this guns now completely viable in PvP!

I have seen the light. Been leveling my 2.0 for last 2 days. Is pretty good once you get some attack upgrades on it.

You only get infinite ammo for constantly killing things, so it's never going to be a boss killer like Ice Breaker, Black Hammer, and Bjallarhorn. I think Pulse Rifles ended up with the short straw in this game, and Bad Juju's exotic qualities don't totally make up for that. Without the unique perk, Juju truly feels worthless compared to most other exotics, so as you said, many people overlook it. As a side note, for those of us playing since near launch, that green flame on the front of Juju used to obstruct the aim very badly. That's thankfully a point Bungie actually paid attention to, but it certainly turned people off of it for a while.

The only reason I don't use it is because I have the old version and have better exotic primaries. I'm currently working on the bounty again so I can get the 2.0 version, I'll probably use it with my warlock.

It's good for the crowds of thralls and lower level enemies, fun to use with obsidian mind, but against majors and bosses really not that great. Still fun to use sometimes, though most times I find myself using a different primary.

Been one of my Favs for a while... it never leaves my Character inventory since it damn near allows you to spam supers...

Truth. I had this as one of my very first exotics in the early weeks of the game and it was terrible. After the update it has become near top tier for everything except boss battles, particularly when combined with obsidian mind exotic helmet for voidwalker. Use it, love it.

I love juju! Mainly cuz it's fun to say. And also, because it's the ultimate persistence gun, soooooooooooooo puss at the start everyone gives up on it. But stick with it, and you are well rewarded. So not looking forward to new dlc where I will have to level it for a third time....

I actually like my Bad Juju, really love the replenishes super/ammo after kills perk. It's a good gun, but I admit I don't use it all the time.

2 RepliesNo doubt me and my friends have had that theory for a while. Big negative is no crit with pulse rifles. But to speed run to the boss and attempting to double stack extra super energy from kills would be great to speed run to the boss. From then on three warlocks with obsidian mind and bad ju ju would probably have a bad time.
